The loli silver dragon lay sprawled on the bed, flipping through a manga. Her small white-stockinged feet swayed back and forth as she immersed herself in the vibrant world of the story.
Beside her were chips and fizzy soda, the ultimate comforts of a lazy life.
It had been a week since Xia Yi returned to the Dragon Palace.
During this week, all she had done was sleep, eat, play when full, sleep when tired, wake up and eat again… repeating the cycle endlessly. In short, she was enjoying life.
After working so hard at Fox Hill, wasn’t it only fair to reward herself?

Xia Yi rolled over happily.

Her confiscated manga were returned to her room.

A knock sounded at the door.
“Your Highness, I’m back.”
“Serra, come in!”
Xia Yi jumped off the bed and excitedly opened the door.
Standing outside was her personal maid, Serra.
At this moment, the red dragon maid was carrying a stack of manga, which she placed on the desk.
“Your Highness, as instructed, I’ve purchased all the manga, these are the updates you haven’t read yet.”
“Yay! Serra, you’re the best~!”
Xia Yi hugged her excitedly.
After being away from the Dragon Kingdom, she had fallen behind on many updates, now she could catch up all at once.
After all, hoarding unread chapters was a bad habit!
“Your Highness, you don’t have work this afternoon, correct? If not, I’ll arrange afternoon tea as usual,” Serra said with her professional smile.
“Just arrange it normally. I’ve already handed my work over to others. Serra, stay by my side and take good care of me~” Xia Yi replied.
In truth, she did have some work to do.
But whenever that happened, Karami would step in and take it upon himself. In his view, the princess was destined to achieve dominion over the land, how could she be bogged down by trivial matters?
Such tasks should be handled by others to avoid wasting her precious time.
If Xia Yi refused, Karami would even get anxious.
So she had no choice but to leave everything to him.

“Wait!”

She put down her manga and interrupted Serra.
“Serra, I want to ask you something.”

“What has Elly been doing recently?”
“Elly accompanied you to Fox Hill. After returning, she was supposed to take some time off.”
“Oh? I remember she said she didn’t want a break?”
“Yes. Elly insisted she wanted to work hard without taking leave, hoping to earn another chance at the Royal Maid Corps’ full-member evaluation,” Serra explained. “But Lucia disagreed, saying it was meaningless overexertion. Since Elly is still a trainee and not indispensable, she was forced to take leave. Today should be her first day back.”
“I see… so she did take a break after all…” Xia Yi nodded.
“Your Highness, why are you concerned about Elly?”
“…It’s nothing.”
A sly smile appeared on Xia Yi’s face.

An idea formed in her mind, one she now felt compelled to carry out.
“Serra, take me to Lucia.”

That was Xia Yi’s portrait! If she knocked down the portrait of the dragon heir, it would be a grave offense against the royal family, she’d end up in prison again!
“Ahhh!!”
Elly let out an indescribable cry of despair.
Just as the broom was about to hit the portrait, Xia Yi stepped in and caught it.

Elly froze.
Xia Yi slowly turned around, a faint smile curving her lips.
“Elly, you just said… you want to become a full member of the Royal Maid Corps… right?”
