Lao Huo supported himself on the floor and lowered his head humbly before Xia Yi. Gone was the earlier arrogance.

Xia Yi fell silent, seemingly considering something.
“Miss Xia Yi, are you perhaps short on money? Since this is your first time in Molent, there must be many places where you’ll need funds. If that’s the case, please just say the word, we can provide you with ample financial support!”

Standing before a bookshelf, he pulled out one of the books and placed it into a different slot.
Mechanical gears clicked behind the shelf like a lock being opened. Then the bookshelf automatically slid aside, revealing a hidden passageway behind it.
Xia Yi stepped into the corridor and soon arrived at its end.
It was a secret chamber packed with documents, among them records detailing the countless transactions that had taken place within Old Times Wine Café.
“You people really have done quite a lot.”
Looking over the horrifying records, Xia Yi could not help sighing.
“These people’s endings were truly miserable.”
“This is…”
For a moment, Lao Huo could not even think of an excuse to defend himself.
He had never imagined a day would come when he would be questioned like this.
So he simply stood there in silence and waited.
After a long while, Xia Yi finally closed the notebook in her hands.
Seeing the timing was right, Lao Huo forced a smile onto his face.
“Miss Xia Yi, since I have already fulfilled your request and handed over all the previous transaction records, then you should also honor your promise, shouldn’t you?”
“Promise? What promise?”
Lao Huo froze for a moment.

Only then did the captain notice countless sheets of paper drifting down from above, carried by the force of the explosion into the crowd below.
Curious, people picked them up from the ground.
And after reading the contents,
Expressions of horror appeared on their faces.
“What is this? Organ trafficking?!”
“I’m not seeing this wrong, am I?! Old Times Wine Café was actually this horrifying den of evil, sheltering and facilitating black-market trade!!”
“The traders are Bi Yangde and Lao Huo! Those two were working together! They absolutely cannot be spared!!”
The crowd instantly erupted with outrage.
The captain himself was equally confused. He picked up one of the papers and skimmed through it rapidly.
His face changed drastically.
These were criminal records from Old Times Wine Café, including detailed transaction logs. The evidence alone was enough to completely condemn the café’s owner.
Most of the bystanders had already seen the records.
Soon, the news would spread throughout the city, and media outlets would rush to report on it for attention.
There was no possibility of suppressing the incident anymore.
Even so, the captain still forced himself to give orders.
“Rescue everyone inside Old Times Wine Café immediately!”
