The very first question Xia Yi asked after returning was about Xia Lulu’s whereabouts.

What she meant was to show off her strength to Xia Lulu!
That hateful Xia Lulu, forcing her to eat broccoli, even confiscating her allowance and manga.
Truly the worst of the worst!
Now that she had achieved such great accomplishments outside, she had to flaunt them properly and let Xia Lulu know just how formidable she was.
“Your Highness, if you are referring to Her Majesty the Queen, I have not seen her today. However, she has not left the palace and should still be within the Dragon Palace,” the captain replied. “At this hour, Her Majesty is usually working.”
“Oh, I see.”
Xia Yi was practically bursting with anticipation, eager to run off and find Xia Lulu immediately.
But others were watching.
She had to maintain the dignified image she had worked so hard to establish.
“Karami.”
“I am here, Your Highness. What are your orders?”
“You’ve worked hard. Please compile a report of our journey to Fox Hill and submit it for official records. Also, organize the alliance agreement between the dragon, fox, and vampire clans into a document and inform the other ministers in the Dragon Palace.”
“As you command, Your Highness! It is our honor to receive your guidance!”
Karami was visibly delighted. Being entrusted with such important work meant he had earned her recognition, this was no small responsibility.
“Karami, since we just returned today, you can rest first. The work only needs to be completed within the next two days, ”
“No, Your Highness, I will handle it immediately. I do not require rest!”
His reply was as intense as that of a workaholic, brimming with energy.

Even Elly was like this?
Forget it, now that everything was arranged, she could go find Xia Lulu!

Xia Yi arrived at the door of Xia Lulu’s office.
Normally, Xia Lulu should be working inside.

Xia Yi steadied herself, preparing mentally.
She must not be swayed by that cunning Silver Dragon Queen’s sweet tactics.

“Xia Lulu, I’m back.”
Xia Yi pushed the door open, wearing a confident smile.

But no one was inside.
Xia Lulu wasn’t there?
The silver-haired dragon girl walked up to the desk and saw unfinished documents, about a day’s worth.
That surprised her. Could Xia Lulu be having tea in the back garden?
The captain had said Xia Lulu hadn’t left the palace. Usually she was either working or resting, those were the only two possibilities.
“In that case, I’ll check the back garden.”

“Chirp chirp~”
“Meow meow~”
“Woof woof~”
A small hamster perched on Xia Yi’s head, a chubby cat rested in her arms, and a golden retriever rubbed affectionately against her legs.
Since she had been away for some time, all the animals gathered around her upon her return, clearly missing her dearly.
“…She’s not here.” Xia Yi frowned.
She hadn’t found Xia Lulu in the back garden either.
“Little hamster, did Xia Lulu come here today?”
“Chirp…”
Though she couldn’t fully understand, Xia Yi could tell from its reaction that Xia Lulu hadn’t come.
That was strange.
She hadn’t left the palace, yet she wasn’t in the office or the garden.
Where could she be?
“Woof woof!” The golden retriever barked, wanting to play.
“I don’t have time right now, next time!”
Xia Yi gently set the animals down and left the garden.
At the entrance, she ran into a familiar figure.
It was the red dragon maid, Serra.
“Your Highness, you’ve returned.”
“Serra!!”
With no one else around, Xia Yi rushed forward and threw herself into her arms.
“You’re as clingy as ever, Your Highness,” Serra laughed.
“Clingy? I’m not! I just thought, you might miss me!” Xia Yi declared with her signature retort.
“Yes, I did miss you. It seems Your Highness anticipated that and acted first,” Serra replied gracefully. “You’ve outdone me again.”
“Hmph, of course!”
Xia Yi didn’t notice anything odd.
“Serra, do you know where Xia Lulu is?”
“You’ve just returned and already wish to see Her Majesty… to report your work, perhaps?”
“Of course! I’m not going for anything else, just to report my results!”
“Her Majesty might be in her room.”
“Got it, thanks!”
With that, Xia Yi dashed off toward Xia Lulu’s room.
…
“Xia Lulu, how naughty of you, playing hide-and-seek, knowing I’ve returned and hiding in your room to make me worry?”
Xia Yi smiled before the door.
“Too bad, it won’t work on me. I’ve caught you now!!”
She pushed the door open and stepped inside.
But what she saw stunned her.
It was something she had never witnessed before, so strange that she wondered if she had fallen under some illusion.
Why was Xia Lulu… lying on the bed, asleep at this hour?
