Having learned that Xia Yi would return today, dragons gathered of their own accord along the streets to welcome her back.
After some waiting, a group of massive dragons appeared in the distant sky, the returning diplomatic delegation from Fox Hill.
At the forefront was a green dragon, and standing upon its back was a silver-haired dragon girl.
The entire capital erupted into excitement.
“Look! Her Highness the Princess has returned!”
“It’s Princess Xia Yi!”
“The entire delegation is back, every single one!”
Cheers filled the air as fireworks burst into the sky. Though it was no holiday, the atmosphere was as festive as one.
Huge balloons floated overhead, bearing portraits of Xia Yi.
Unlike before, these were specially drawn, less cute, far more imposing. In them, she appeared as a ruler gazing down upon the world. Though exaggerated, even deviating from her real appearance, they delighted her immensely.
Heavens… that’s basically me!
Standing atop Elly, the silver-haired dragon girl nearly wagged her tail in excitement.
Still, she did her best to maintain a composed, aloof image.
“This is somewhat unexpected… the people of the capital are so enthusiastic,” Xia Yi remarked.
“Your Highness, this was specially arranged by Mr. Karami,” Elly said.
“Oh? Is that so?” Xia Yi glanced at Karami.
“Yes, Your Highness. My apologies, I took the liberty of arranging this welcome in advance through letters, without your approval. The portrait was also specially commissioned,” Karami explained.
“However, the people coming out to greet you were entirely voluntary. After all, you not only conquered the vampires, but also the fox race, this is truly uplifting news!”
“So the dragons already know what happened at Fox Hill?”
“They likely don’t know all the details, but they do know that at the coronation of the new Nine-Tailed Fox Emperor, you displayed the bearing of a Dragon King and utterly subdued those so-called ‘upper species’ rulers!”
Karami, despite his age, grew visibly excited recounting it.
“You are undoubtedly the greatest heir in the history of the dragon race!”

Xia Yi felt like she was about to float away from the praise.

Amid the cheers, the delegation returned to the Dragon Palace.
“Your Highness, welcome back!”
The Captain of the Guard led the palace guards in a neat formation, bowing in unison.
“Mm.”
Xia Yi nodded lightly, stepping down gracefully from Elly.
Elly and the others reverted to their human forms.
“Your Highness, did you truly intimidate the foreign races at the coronation?” the Captain asked curiously.
“Of course she did!”
Before Xia Yi could respond, Elly stepped forward proudly.
“These weren’t ordinary foreigners, they were rulers of the upper species! The Dwarf King, who had been unbearably arrogant, immediately trembled the moment Her Highness spoke! The others didn’t even dare utter a word!”
“Would they really be that afraid?”
The Captain found it hard to believe.
How could the same princess who acted cute and mischievous in the palace, and often clung to others, be so imposing outside?
“Captain, mind your words,” Karami said sternly. “Her Highness simply chooses to treat you with kindness. Do not mistake that for weakness. Her strength and potential far surpass ordinary dragons. We never expected immediate results from the Fox Hill mission, but under her leadership, the fox race became our ally.”
“Was that truly Her Highness’s achievement? We assumed it was your strategy…”
“My strategy?” Karami scoffed. “In front of Her Highness, my ideas cannot even be called wisdom!”
Having followed Xia Yi, he had become an utterly devoted admirer.
“With unparalleled vision, grand ambition, decisive judgment, and brilliant strategy, she turned the entire situation around! Keeping up with her is already difficult enough, we contributed very little!”
“Is it really that exaggerated…?”
“Captain, answer me this, can you use a Domain? Her Highness can already wield a Dragon King Domain.”
“What?!”
This revelation stunned him.
At her age, mastering a Dragon King Domain was nearly unheard of.
“Do you think I would joke about this?” Karami said coldly.
“My deepest apologies, Your Highness. We were ignorant and have offended you. Please… punish us.”
The Captain knelt on one knee, bowing deeply.

Xia Yi blinked.
She hadn’t even said anything, yet Elly and Karami had already “comboed” their praise so thoroughly that everyone was completely convinced.
Her authority had skyrocketed.
“Karami, don’t be too harsh on the Captain,” Xia Yi said.
“Yes…”
“Rise. I don’t mind.”
“Thank you for your magnanimity, Your Highness!” the Captain said, deeply moved.
After all, in the dragon race, strength was everything.
The fact that Xia Yi could wield a Dragon King Domain meant she possessed the qualifications of a Dragon King, her power stood far above others.
A faint smile curved the little princess’s lips.
Though she wanted to continue enjoying this newfound reverence, there was something urgent she needed to do.
