She paused.
“On the contrary, you should prepare yourself. The fox clan’s standing will plummet. You won’t command influence like before, in fact, you’ll face suppression from other nations.”
“I am fully prepared. I don’t need your reminder,” the little fox said resolutely. “My destined rival saved this nation. It is only right that we repay the Dragon Clan.”

“My destined rival… are you leaving?” the little fox asked reluctantly as Xia Yi came to bid farewell.
“Yes. I need to return to the Dragon Kingdom. Now that you are the Nine-Tailed Fox Emperor, I can rest assured,” Xia Yi said with a smile.
“Actually… I had hoped you could…”
The little fox wished for Xia Yi to stay by her side a while longer.
But she knew that was impossible.
She shook her head.
As Xia Yi’s destined rival, how could she show such weakness?
The fox maiden gathered her spirit, smiling as she struck a dramatic pose.
“My destined rival! I look forward to our next meeting. Do not forget, when the appointed time arrives, I shall challenge you. Should you fall, I will claim dominion over your fate!!”
“A challenge?”
Xia Yi blinked, then laughed.
“Alright! If it’s a challenge, I won’t lose. Fox Radish, let’s settle this in the future!”
