The World Tree’s seed guided Xia Yi all the way to a somewhat familiar place.
“Miu Miu, why did you bring me here?!”
The scene before Xia Yi’s eyes was a rose garden reduced to ruins.
This could be considered the former residence of the Vampire Princess, Miu Miu Borgia.
This was where she had first met Miu Miu long ago. They had even fought, and in the end, she had ended up taking Miu Miu to the Dragon Palace.
The second time she came here was when Elizabeth had taken over Miu Miu’s body, inviting her under the guise of the Vampire Empress’s coronation ceremony.
She still remembered fighting Elizabeth here, and in the end, under Atiya’s dragon breath, the rose garden was blasted apart, turning into its current state.
“Miu Miu, didn’t you take the wrong place?” Xia Yi was puzzled. “Is there something here that can help me escape?”
The World Tree’s seed didn’t stop. It continued rolling forward, occasionally pausing and jumping a few times, clearly trying to lead Xia Yi further inside.
“Alright.”
Xia Yi caught up.
Due to the previous intense battle, the rose garden was mostly destroyed. The once-ubiquitous rose bushes were now an overgrown area with wild grass. Many places had collapsed, one careless step could lead to falling through to a lower level.
“That bad woman Elizabeth keeps claiming she is Miu Miu, yet Miu Miu’s rose garden has ended up like this, and she isn’t even willing to repair it. She’s definitely bad through and through, trying to deceive me. Good thing I didn’t fall for it and mistake her for Miu Miu.”
Xia Yi snorted.
She continued inward, reaching the area where the battle had been most intense. In the center was a deep crater blasted by Atiya.
The World Tree’s seed stopped right in front of the crater.
“There doesn’t seem to be anything here, right?”
Xia Yi walked over and peered inside but didn’t sense anything.
The World Tree’s seed was motionless, clearly indicating this was the destination.
“Did I miss something?”
The silver-haired loli looked around. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a red dot of light appearing in the darkness of the rose garden ruins, extremely eerie.
“Who’s there?!”
Xia Yi quickly turned her head, but the red dot swiftly moved again, disappearing elsewhere, almost as if someone was watching her from the shadows.
“Come out now!!”
Xia Yi felt increasingly uneasy. She entered a state of alertness.
Swish, swish, swish!
A mysterious figure kept flashing about, moving through the darkness with Xia Yi at the center, like a hunter seeking an opening to attack.
“Screech—!!”
Suddenly, the figure found its opportunity and launched a fierce attack, turning into a black blur as it charged at Xia Yi.
“Oof… ah!”
Xia Yi was sent flying.
At that moment, she felt she was done for, about to become fish on a chopping block, completely at the other’s mercy.
Something unexpected happened.
Fallen on the ground, she wasn’t hurt at all. Instead, she felt a soft, small creature in her arms, nuzzling against her, just like a pet.
“Screech! Screech!”
“Huh?”
Xia Yi widened her eyes in surprise.
It wasn’t some dangerous monster at all, but actually a large black puffball with a pair of tiny wings and a single eye, looking at Xia Yi with an excited smile.
“Miu Miu’s familiar, Little Black?” Xia Yi blinked.
“Screech! Screech!”
Little Black seemed to give an affirmative, nodding its head, then affectionately rubbed against the silver dragon loli’s face.
It clearly still remembered Xia Yi and had recognized her.
“So you’ve been staying here all along!”
Xia Yi sat up.
Although unsure what species Little Black was, she knew it was Miu Miu’s most loyal companion.
She remembered that even when Elizabeth used Miu Miu’s body, Little Black was quite resistant, unwilling to acknowledge the bad woman as its master no matter what.
Probably because of this, Little Black had been hiding here, avoiding the bad woman.
The red dot she saw earlier was likely Little Black’s eye. Little Black had been secretly observing her, only revealing itself after confirmation.
Miu Miu probably brought her here to have Little Black provide assistance.
“Miu Miu, you want Little Black to help me, right?” Xia Yi looked at the World Tree’s seed.
The World Tree’s seed jumped twice in response.
“Screech?!”
Upon discovering the seed, Little Black paused for a moment, then moved closer. It probably sensed Miu Miu’s soul, its eyes welling up with tears as it started crying over the World Tree’s seed.
The World Tree’s seed circled Little Black twice but could do nothing more.
Witnessing this scene, Xia Yi was also moved. She patted Little Black’s head to comfort it.
“Little Black, I’ll find a way to save Miu Miu.”
“Screech, screech…”
Little Black was deeply touched.
“Miu Miu brought me here specifically to find you,” Xia Yi explained. “I want to escape the Vampire Palace, but my dragon powers are sealed, and I’ve run into big trouble. I need your help now.”
“Screech, screech!”
Little Black indicated understanding, seeming determined to definitely help Xia Yi leave the Vampire Palace.

Xia Yi returned to the previous location with Little Black.
The Vampire Palace guards were still stationed on watch.
“Little Black, all of them are obstacles to my escape. It’s up to you now!”
Xia Yi pointed over there.
“Go, Little Black!”
“Screech, screech, screech!”
Little Black charged out, flapping its tiny wings, moving incredibly fast.
No matter how many times she saw it, Xia Yi found it unbelievable. How could that chubby body fly so fast using such small wings?
Next, Little Black’s performance exceeded her expectations even further.
During its charge, Little Black’s body actually split apart. The chubby body disintegrated like building blocks, then divided, turning into a huge swarm of tiny Little Blacks, an astonishingly large number.
“Hey, what is this?”
“It looks like Her Highness the Princess’s… no, the Divine Ancestor’s familiar!”
“Wait, what does this familiar think it’s doing? Aaahhh!!”
The massive swarm of tiny Little Blacks assaulted the Vampire Palace guards, viciously attacking their eyes, blocking everyone’s vision while also creating a tremendous amount of noise.
The Vampire Palace guards were quite panicked, trying to shoo the tiny Little Blacks away. But as Miu Miu’s familiar, they were not weak, and their numbers were overwhelming, successfully disrupting the guards.
The World Tree’s seed leaped out, rapidly rolling away.
“Great job, Little Black! Major contribution!!”
Xia Yi acted decisively. She rushed into the crowd, dodging the wildly swinging weapons of the Vampire Palace guards. Under the cover of the tiny Little Blacks, she passed through the area.
The tiny Little Blacks also provided her an escort, dealing with all the enemies ahead.
And so, the World Tree’s seed arrived at the entrance of a secret passage.
Xia Yi followed closely behind, without a moment’s hesitation, jumping in. Her figure disappeared into the secret passage.
She moved swiftly through the dark tunnel. At the end of her sight, she gradually saw a light, seemingly the exit…
“Wonderful, I’m finally going to escape the Vampire Palace!!”
