    Volume 4 + Chapter 133: The Beastman Prince’s Roar

Dragon Kingdom, Dragon Palace, rear garden.

This was the Silver Dragon Princess’s afternoon tea time.

    “Meow, meow!”

At Xia Yi’s feet, the pet cat she raised sat beside her chair, meowing insistently.

Xia Yi set down the milk tea Serra had just prepared, glanced at the cat, and said, “Alright, kitty, go play somewhere else.”

    “Meow, meow! Meow!”

The cat refused to leave. Instead, it deliberately rubbed against Xia Yi’s calf, clinging to her and acting cute nonstop.

This left Xia Yi utterly helpless.

“Alright, alright, I’ll give you some to eat.”

She picked the cat up and placed it on her lap, then brought a piece of pastry over in front of it.

    “Meow meow meow!”

The cat cried out happily, snatched the pastry in its mouth, ran off to the side, flopped down on the ground, and began eating with great enjoyment.

“Eat, eat, eat. You’re already so fat and you’re still eating—at this rate you’ll turn into a little pig.”

Xia Yi looked at the chubby cat and sighed in resignation.

    “Your Highness.”

“Serra, where did you go just now?”

Xia Yi turned her gaze toward the red-haired senior maid.

Serra had stepped away for a while earlier. Now she had returned to the rear garden, carrying a document in her hands.

“Your Highness, this is a special urgent notice from the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance. Please review it.”

    “A special urgent notice?”

Xia Yi was a little curious as she took the document.

Recently, the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance had been making all sorts of preparations and plans for war with the Holy Crimson Empire.

Because of the Dragon Clan’s unique status, the Dragon Kingdom did not deeply involve itself in the alliance’s internal affairs.

Following the arrangements previously agreed upon, Xia Yi had prepared the Dragon Clan’s combat forces ahead of the scheduled deployment date, waiting for further instructions from the alliance.

Yet now, before the predetermined time had arrived, an urgent notice had suddenly come—clearly indicating that something unexpected had occurred.

The young princess opened the document. After reading its contents, shock spread across her face.

“How is this possible? That’s far too fast!”

“What happened, Your Highness?” Serra asked in confusion.

“Serra, take a look for yourself.”

Xia Yi pushed the document toward her.

After reading it, Serra was equally stunned. “…Within fourteen days, the Holy Crimson Empire used thunderous warfare to capture the capital of the Beastmen Alliance, causing the Beastmen’s territory to fall completely?”

“This is far too fast. Other countries hadn’t even had time to react, and the Beastmen Alliance was already finished.”

“Your Highness, it feels like the Vampire Clan’s overall strength has increased tremendously—on a completely different level from the other upper races,” Serra commented.

    “Yes. No one expected this.”

    Xia Yi frowned.

At first, everyone believed that the only truly powerful individual among the Vampire Clan was Elizabeth, and that the rest of the Vampire Clan would be no different from before.

Thus, many had felt that Elizabeth’s decision to stand against all nations was reckless and absurd.

Yet reality had exceeded everyone’s expectations. Elizabeth’s strength was not merely personal— as the king of an upper race, she could even radiate her power across the entire species, causing the Vampire Clan’s overall strength to surge dramatically.

No wonder the Beastmen, who had once been able to contend with the Vampire Clan, were now utterly routed, even losing their capital.

For any nation or race, this was an immense humiliation.

A nation’s capital was like its heart. The Beastmen’s situation was akin to having their heart stabbed—half their body already buried. Under the Vampire Clan’s world-shocking, lightning-fast offensive, the Beastmen had no ability to fight back at all… they were essentially finished.

“Your Highness, the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance is urgently summoning everyone to the Pear Islands for a meeting. Will you attend?” Serra asked.

“We’ll depart immediately. Serra, inform the captain of the palace guards to organize an escort and accompany me to the Pear Islands,” Xia Yi ordered.

    “Yes, Your Highness.”

Xia Yi, accompanied by Serra and an escort of Dragon Clan guards, arrived at the Pear Islands as a representative of one of the alliance nations, standing in for the Dragon royal family.

Aside from the Dragon Kingdom, delegations from other races also arrived in succession to attend the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance member-state conference.

The Vampire Clan’s sudden offensive was something no one had anticipated.

Under normal circumstances, the Vampire Clan should still have been in the stage of stabilizing internal chaos and preparing for war.

Yet, under the Vampire Clan Ancestor God’s command, their armies had surged forward, already tearing the Beastmen Alliance’s territory to pieces.

Without a doubt, this style of warfare had shaken every nation on the continent.

“This is terrifying. In less than two weeks, the valiant Beastmen couldn’t even put up resistance?”

“Just who exactly is the Vampire Clan’s Ancestor God, to possess such terrifying power?”

“Even the former Vampire Clan King never had methods like this!”

The representatives of the alliance nations felt extremely conflicted. Never before had they treated an issue with such gravity.

They finally understood why the Vampire Clan had been able to so blatantly disregard the declaration of war issued by the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance.

Arrogance required capital—and the Vampire Clan now had exactly that.

Xia Yi observed the representatives from the other nations and noticed that many of them had completely revised their view of the Vampire Clan, now seeing them as an unprecedentedly terrifying enemy.

“What are you all waiting for?! Hurry up and send troops to save our Beastmen people!!”

At the meeting, the Beastmen prince had completely lost control of his emotions. Before even the Elves and Foxfolk—who were serving as alliance leaders—could speak, he charged onto the platform and began shouting furiously.

The green-skinned Beastman prince, with his massive tusks, had eyes bloodshot with rage.

“My royal father is still leading the remaining Beastmen warriors, refusing to give up, trying to retake the capital! He urgently needs your help right now!!”

“You… you bunch of bastards!! Our Beastmen race joined the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance! Now that our territory has been invaded by the Vampire Clan, according to the alliance treaty, you allies should no longer stand by and watch!! All of you must send troops to reinforce my father!”

The Beastman prince roared in fury, his voice echoing through the entire venue.

With his nation on the brink of destruction, asking him to remain calm was impossible. He was like a powder keg, on the verge of exploding.

No nation wanted to be the spark that set it off.

“Give me an answer right now!! Otherwise, not a single one of you will be leaving the Pear Islands alive!!”

The ferocious Beastman prince slammed the table in front of him to pieces, forcing everyone to take a stance.

Just as the hall fell into silence, a petite young girl stood up of her own accord, instantly drawing everyone’s attention.

The next words she spoke, cold and detached, left everyone utterly stunned—and pushed the nearly deranged Beastman prince completely over the edge.

“Beastman Prince, under the current circumstances, the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance will not be dispatching troops to reinforce the Beastmen Alliance.”
