As soon as the bell rang for the end of class, Lu Hanchuan, having learned his lesson, grabbed Xu Xinghe’s hand and ran out of the classroom.
The second before leaving the classroom, he spotted that annoying chatterbox from earlier.
Xu Xinghe was pulled by Lu Hanchuan to a terrace. Seeing him like this, she found him rather lively.
“Brother Ah Chuan, why are we running?” she asked, slightly out of breath.
Lu Hanchuan always thought very carefully before answering her questions. Only then would he respond.
He didn’t want to be dusturbed by that person. Well, mostly it was because he didn’t like Xing Xing looking at that person. That person would steal Xing Xing’s attention.
“Don’t like it. You’re looking at him.” Lu Hanchuan buried his face in her neck gloomily.
Xu Xinghe patted his back gently. “Then from now on, when Brother is unhappy, just… tug my sleeve. Then Xing Xing will only look at you, okay?” She thought for a while and came up with this good idea.
Lu Hanchuan hesitated for a moment, then nodded slightly. Although he would rather just drive those people away directly, he listened to what Xing Xing said.
As soon as the two returned to the classroom, many students gathered around them. There was nothing they could do. The two of them looked so good, and children were always especially curious about good-looking people.
A girl with a high ponytail looked curiously at Xu Xinghe’s pencil. “Hello, my name is Chen Yu. I’m the class monitor. You can come to me with any questions.”
Xu Xinghe nodded slightly. Seeing the girl still staring at her little bunny pencil, she said, “I’m Xu Xinghe, do you want to look at my pencil?” She then offered the bunny pencil to her.
Chen Yu felt a little shy as she lowered her head and took it. She loved cute stationery like this. She didn’t expect to be found out. Did she still have any dignity as class monitor?
After playing with the pencil curiously for a while, she returned it. “Thank you, Xinghe.”
Xu Xinghe smiled warmly. “You’re welcome, Class Monitor.”
Lu Hanchuan gently tugged on her sleeve. Xing Xing had been talking to this person for too long, and she was smiling so beautifully. Xing Xing didn’t even smile at him that many times.
Chen Yu’s curious eyes also fell on Lu Hanchuan. She had just heard Xu Xinghe say he was her brother. “Xinghe, why does your brother have a different last name from you?”
Chen Yu had been curious ever since she heard that. Children’s curiosity was always especially strong.
Xu Xinghe chuckled softly. “Because I was adopted. I was originally an orphan.” She didn’t try to hide it. She didn’t think being an orphan was a big deal.
Chen Yu was taken aback and felt a bit flustered. “I’m sorry… I didn’t know.”
Xu Xinghe immediately waved her hand. “No need to apologize. I have a very good family now and a good brother!” She turned and smiled at Lu Hanchuan.
Chen Yu’s heart was suddenly filled with sympathy for Xu Xinghe. She was so pitiful. She would definitely make sure to care for this new classmate.
Just as Chen Yu returned to her seat, the girl in front of Xu Xinghe immediately turned around. She secretly glanced at Lu Hanchuan, then casually struck up a conversation with Xu Xinghe.
“Hello, I’m Zhao Sisi. He… is your brother?” Zhao Sisi stole another look at this boy, who looked almost unreal in his beauty, her cheeks flushing pink.
Xu Xinghe looked at the shy girl. Children always thought they hid their feelings well, but they were actually an open book.
“Mm, he’s Lu Hanchuan.” Xu Xinghe nodded. Zhao Sisi’s shy expression was kind of cute.
Zhao Sisi took a deep breath and extended her right hand to Lu Hanchuan. “Hi… Hi, I’m Zhao Sisi. Can we get to know each other?”
But Lu Hanchuan acted as if he hadn’t heard at all. His eyes were still fixed on Xu Xinghe’s face. Xing Xing was really beautiful.
Zhao Sisi waited for a long time with no response. She looked up at Lu Hanchuan. He just ignored her like that? And he was just staring at Xu Xinghe?
Zhao Sisi felt a little uncomfortable. Why did he only look at his sister? Why not at her?
Xu Xinghe quickly stepped in to smooth things over. “I’m sorry, Sisi. My brother is very introverted.”
She was afraid the little girl would be sad. She could tell Zhao Sisi didn’t have any bad intentions, maybe she just had a little crush on Lu Hanchuan?
