by Salted FishThe Possessive and Overbearing Yandere CEO and His Gentle Little Fairy (End)
Xu Xinghe let the maids gently put a blindfold over her eyes. Two of them supported her, one on each side, as they walked her forward.
She noticed warm sunlight falling on her body. They must be outside.
When they reached their destination, the two maids quietly retreated. Xu Xinghe sensed a familiar presence. It was Fu Tingshen.
He reached out and removed the blindfold from Xu Xinghe’s eyes, using one hand to gently shield her from the glaring sunlight so her eyes wouldn’t have to adjust harshly.
They were in the manor’s back garden. It was now filled with red roses as far as the eye could see.
Neither of them had parents, so at this moment it was just the two of them.
Well, except for Butler Wang who was hiding in the shadows and throwing flower petals for the atmosphere. Thinking about the tenfold salary increase tomorrow, Butler Wang was suddenly full of motivation.
Fu Tingshen was clearly dressed up today. His exquisite features were sharp as if carved by a knife, perfectly proportioned. His figure was flawless. Even beneath his suit, one could sense the muscles underneath.
Fu Tingshen forcibly suppressed the feeling of his heart nearly leaping out of his throat. Even though he had rehearsed this scene hundreds of times, facing Xu Xinghe now, his hands trembled uncontrollably.
“Xing Xing… I am willing to trade a lifetime of my time for a lifetime of your company.” Fu Tingshen spoke nervously, pulling out a pre-prepared bouquet from behind his back. Lying in the middle of the bouquet was a pair of matching rings.
Fu Tingshen took a deep breath and said, his voice trembling, “May I ask… are you willing to take my lifetime?”
Fu Tingshen was actually very afraid deep down that Xing Xing would say no. After all, their meeting was not as beautiful as in the novels.
Would she be willing to have him?
Xu Xinghe didn’t keep Fu Tingshen waiting long. Her bright smiling face was especially brilliant under the sunlight. “I am willing!”
Fu Tingshen’s heart pounded violently. Xing Xing said she was willing!
She was willing to marry him!
His hands trembling, his throat dry, Fu Tingshen picked up the ring and slipped it onto her finger.
Before Xu Xinghe could properly admire the ring, the next moment Fu Tingshen’s large hands lifted her by the waist. The two of them spun together amidst the flowers.
Xu Xinghe smiled indulgently and wrapped her arms around Fu Tingshen’s neck. Their eyes locked on each other, only seeing each other.
After spinning four or five times, Fu Tingshen finally set Xu Xinghe down. Both of them were slightly out of breath. Fu Tingshen’s voice was a little choked as he said, “Baby, am I dreaming?”
Xu Xinghe immediately sensed his emotions. She stepped out of his embrace, cupped his face tightly in both hands, and kissed him under his teary gaze.
The tears hanging at the corners of Fu Tingshen’s eyes fell instantly, then were gently wiped away by Xu Xinghe. His heart felt as if it were being held in a gentle, warm, soft embrace.
Rose petals drifted through the air by the breeze, as if even the petals were blessing their love.
Fu Tingshen had also built a swing in the yard, carefully cushioned with pads. He gently pushed Xu Xinghe as she played on it.
The sky had already darkened. The pre-arranged lights came on. Fu Tingshen sat beside Xu Xinghe and gently wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
“Xing Xing, stay with me forever.” Fu Tingshen looked at her with deep eyes that couldn’t hide their pleading.
Xu Xinghe knew how insecure he was. But she would show him through her actions.
“I came here for you, baby. Of course I’ll stay with you forever~” Xu Xinghe said with a smile and turned to look at him.
Fu Tingshen’s eyelids fluttered. He lowered his eyes to hide the throbbing feeling in his heart.
Xu Xinghe looked up at the stars. Tonight’s night sky seemed especially bright and beautiful.
I look at the stars, but I only see you — Fu Tingshen
