He Baizhi walked forward and reached out to yank Xu Xinghe off the sofa. But before her hand could touch her, she felt something slam hard into her back.

With an “Ah!” He Baizhi fell to the side. She wanted to see which fool dared to kick her. She would have Fu Tingshen fire him!

“Tingshen?!” He Baizhi looked at Fu Tingshen in disbelief as he stood there holding another woman.

Fu Tingshen acted as if he hadn’t seen He Baizhi. His face was filled with nervousness. He wrapped his arm around Xu Xinghe’s waist and checked to see if she was hurt.

“Baby, I’m so scared.” Xu Xinghe spoke in a delicate and aggrieved voice, but her eyes were looking provocatively at He Baizhi.

He Baizhi was furious. What was this woman pretending for!

“Tingshen, she’s faking it! Don’t believe her.” He Baizhi glared venomously at Xu Xinghe. She wanted Fu Tingshen to see this woman’s true colors!

Fu Tingshen kissed Xu Xinghe’s forehead and comforted her. “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.” After calming his frightened Xing Xing, Fu Tingshen turned around.

He looked at He Baizhi like she was garbage. He really didn’t understand why this crazy woman kept bothering him. She also wanted to hurt his Xing Xing…

“Guards.” Fu Tingshen called out towards the door. The next moment, footsteps echoed from outside.

A group of men in black suits and sunglasses filed in neatly. The next words out of Fu Tingshen’s mouth made He Baizhi feel as if she had fallen into hell, but she still refused to believe the truth.

“Send this woman to the mental hospital and make sure they take special care of her.” Fu Tingshen’s voice was cold. He would not allow anyone to hurt Xing Xing, not even himself.

He Baizhi struggled and screamed, “Fu Tingshen, don’t you love me the most! I’m He Baizhi! I’m willing to come back to you!”

Fu Tingshen kept his hands gently over Xu Xinghe’s ears the entire time to protect her from getting scared. He never once looked back at He Baizhi.

He Baizhi was admitted to a mental hospital. Every day, she muttered obsessively, “He’s mine… give him back to me…”

Her mentally ill roommates couldn’t stand her. One day, while she was asleep, they stuffed her into a duvet and beat her up. They clapped and laughed as He Baizhi screamed in pain.

“Beat the filthy rat to death, hahaha!” one of them laughed excitedly, shouting “Hit the rat!” while swinging her fists wildly.

Xu Xinghe noticed that Fu Tingshen seemed to be quietly busy with something. She looked at the dark circles under his eyes. He clearly hadn’t been resting well.

It was Yao Yao who secretly told her that Fu Tingshen was preparing to propose to her. Running around the company, home, and the proposal venue day after day, he had no time to rest.

Xu Xinghe wrapped her arms around Fu Tingshen’s waist and touched his face with heartache. “Baby, are you tired?”

Fu Tingshen just smiled and said, “Not tired. With Xing Xing by my side, I’ll never be tired.”

That night, the two fell asleep hugging each other and slept well. When Xu Xinghe woke up, the spot beside her was already cold. Fu Tingshen had clearly woken up very early again.
