    The Ancient Yandere’s Doll (20)

Zhou Yuran finally found the Murong Residence with great difficulty. Looking at the familiar front gate, she forced herself to suppress the fear in her heart.

If Murong Jin could save her and take the blame for her, then she supposed she wouldn’t mind being with him.

With that thought, Zhou Yuran strode boldly towards the Murong Residence. The two guards at the entrance stepped forward to block her.

“Who are you? You can’t just enter here.”

Zhou Yuran shot a glare at the two blind guards. “I am Murong Jin’s wife. How dare you stop me! Do you want to die?” Not wanting to waste time, she directly dropped Murong Jin’s name.

The two guards weren’t sure whether to believe her, but seeing how confidently she spoke, they treated her with a bit more respect.

“Miss, please wait a moment. I’ll go announce your arrival,” one guard said with a respectful bow.

Zhou Yuran refused, why should she have to wait? What if those damn officers came to arrest her?

“I’ll go find him myself! Get out of my way!” Zhou Yuran’s face darkened as she pushed away the two guards.

The guards didn’t dare lay a hand on her. What if she really was the woman their young master had recently taken a liking to? They’d be signing their own death warrants!

Zhou Yuran stormed straight through the residence and finally made her way to the courtyard from her memory. But everything before her looked completely unfamiliar.

The courtyard was entirely different from her previous life. How was that possible?

She scanned every inch of the place and confirmed it. It really was completely different from before!

She needed to find Murong Jin and demand an explanation. Why did he move her things around?

Then it suddenly hit her. The doll that appeared beside her when she was still a doll.

Zhou Yuran dismissed the thought. Even if that doll was beautiful, surely only she could transform. It was just an ordinary toy, nothing more.

Following her memory, she arrived at the door of Murong Jin’s room. She never had the habit of knocking on the door.

“Creak—” The door swung open as she pushed it forcefully.

Inside, two people were taking an afternoon nap. Xu Xinghe was completely wrapped in Murong Jin’s arms, her head resting on his chest, and she was sleeping soundly.

She was startled awake by the sudden sound of the door opening.

Murong Jin woke up the moment the door opened. He grabbed a silk blanket beside him to cover Xu Xinghe and patted her back gently.

“Don’t be afraid. I’m here,” he whispered softly in her ear, then looked up at the intruder with bloodshot eyes.

He wanted to see which fool was courting death, daring to enter his courtyard without his orders! And even enter his room!

Zhou Yuran spotted Murong Jin and immediately shrieked, “Murong Jin, who gave you permission to change the courtyard! If you want me to come back, you’d better change it back right now!”

Zhou Yuran wanted to make it clear that she was very angry this time.

Murong Jin only felt the urge to kill. Why was there a madwoman barging into his room and going crazy? What were the guards even doing!

“Get out now.” Murong Jin had never been this angry. His eyes were already filled with murderous intent, like a wolf king protecting his she-wolf.

Zhou Yuran let out a cold “Tch.” He was just trying to play hard to get, and she had long since grown tired of this trick.

Murong Jin, don’t play these games with me.” Her voice was filled with mockery, as though she saw right through him. She continued, “I just beat someone up. Hurry up and throw money to settle this problem, or I will ignore you.”

Murong Jin simply couldn’t believe that someone would speak to him like this. Was he crazy? Playing hard to get with her?

He pressed down on Xu Xinghe’s head as she tried to peek out, leaving only a tiny gap for her to breathe. He didn’t want this crazy woman to dirty her eyes.

He needed to deal with this dead person now. The process would be a bit bloody. Murong Jin whispered softly in her ear, “Wait for me to come back,” then stood up and walked outside.

Zhou Yuran saw Murong Jin approaching her, thinking that here it comes, just as she expected.

“Ah—!” Zhou Yuran let out a blood-curdling scream as Murong Jin kicked her straight out the door, sending her tumbling down the steps.

Murong Jin turned calmly and closed the wooden door properly, making sure Xu Xinghe wouldn’t see anything.

Zhou Yuran saw that familiar look in his eyes, and only then did she start to feel afraid. Murong Jin was a madman!

“Murong Jin! How dare you kick me! If you don’t take the blame for me, I will never be with you for the rest of my life!”

Murong Jin completely ignored her words, instead turning his gaze to the servants and guards cowering nearby.
