    The Ancient Yandere’s Doll (9)

Murong Jin frantically threw off the blanket. He had to find his doll!

    But then, the next second—

Murong Jin froze as he stared at the doll lying in his bed.

He clearly remembered placing the doll on the small wooden bed before sleep, so how did she end up under his blanket?

Xu Xinghe was woken by the commotion of Murong Jin pulling back the blanket. She instinctively raised her hand to shield her eyes from the light.

Murong Jin couldn’t believe his eyes. Did he just see the doll move?

“Sleepy…” Still not fully awake, Xu Xinghe mumbled softly, then rolled over and went back to sleep.

Now Murong Jin was certain. Did he actually lost his mind?

He really heard the doll speak?

Xu Xinghe paid no attention to Murong Jin, who was caught in self-doubt. She was so sleepy that even if the world were ending right now, she wouldn’t want to move.

Murong Jin lay back down in the bed, face to face with the doll, feeling the steady rise and fall of her small body’s breathing. She must be fast asleep.

So it was real! The doll had come to life!

Murong Jin reached out and pressed his hand over his heart, feeling it pound wildly, so loudly that he was almost afraid it would wake the sleeping doll.

Color slowly crept across his face, and even his breathing quickened. He knew he was excited.

This secret that only he and the doll shared made his blood practically boil with excitement, screaming at him to lock the doll away so that she would belong to him and him alone forever!

Murong Jin quietly pulled the doll into his arms. Her tiny form was completely enveloped by his body, and he breathed in the scent on her that matched his own.

When Murong Jin looked up again, his eyes were already bloodshot. He thought that the doll must be the cure the heaven sent for a madman like him.

Xu Xinghe didn’t wake up until noon. She realized she was being held in something’s arms. She struggled to break free from the embrace that was so tight it was almost suffocating.

The moment she looked up, she met a pair of narrow phoenix eyes, with the nobility and elegance unique to the East. The corners of his eyes were slightly raised, bewitching and alluring.

“Awake, doll?” Murong Jin propped his head on one hand, his voice slightly hoarse. He had been staring at her ever since he woke up.

Xu Xinghe saw Murong Jin’s disheveled black hair cascading down over his shoulders. Against his snow-white undergarments, his delicate collarbones were faintly visible, making people think of some…

Xu Xinghe blushed slightly as she turned her head away and gave a soft reply, “Mm.”

Murong Jin couldn’t help the slight curl of his lips. His gaze became tender and deep as he once again lost himself in watching the doll.

She had a pair of bright light golden eyes under her crescent-shaped eyebrows. She was more animated than before, her cherry lips utterly charming, her skin fair with a rosy blush.

Murong Jin twirled a strand of her hair that had scattered across the bed, playing with it between his fingers, which earned him a puzzled look from her.

From Xu Xinghe’s perspective, Murong Jin was simply too huge. She snatched her hair back from his hand.

“Doll, you’re so adorable.” Murong Jin stared at her intently, feeling that every single movement she made was extremely enchanting.

Xu Xinghe was caught off guard by the compliment. She struggled out of the bed, stood in front of him, and looked him straight in the eye.

“I’m not called Doll! I am Xu Xinghe.” She ran up to him, tilting her head up with an innocent expression, but her voice was adorably fierce.

Murong Jin was almost melted by how cute she was. Standing there on his lap, he could wrap his entire arms around her with just one reach.

“Xing Xing? That’s beautiful. It suits you perfectly.” His devilishly handsome face seemed to have cleared of all gloom, and his eyes were filled with the satisfaction of having obtained what he cherished.

Xu Xinghe gave a little “hmmph” and didn’t reject the name. She lifted her little head with arrogantly. Well, she thought it sounded nice too.

Suddenly, Xu Xinghe felt a strong sense of hunger in her stomach and spoke with a hint of grievance, “I’m hungry…” Then she looked up at him.

Murong Jin felt as if he were the entire world to Xing Xing when he was being looked at like this.
