Chapter 140: Watch Me Drag You Together and Hammer You!

The next part of the story was just like a scene from a Qiong Yao novel — little Helen and her maid Lilith helped Sister Ocris up, held each other, and cried while sharing their woes. Princess Kate watched from the side, her tears flowing.

The lines spoken by these literary young women were so touching that even Louis couldn’t help but pick up a handkerchief to wipe his eyes.

Just as Louis was watching intently, a sneaky sound came from behind the sofa again. Louis looked back and saw Yingling, her eyes burning with gossip-fire, covering her mouth with a small fan and peeking over with a sly, fox-like expression — her eyes were teary, clearly she had been watching for a while.

Louis felt a bit awkward and quickly dismissed the magical image in front of him.

“Are you all done chatting?” Louis asked.

“Mhm, Mr. Bach and the others still have some questions they wanted to ask you.” Yingling smiled brightly as she sat down opposite Louis’s desk. “But I guessed you might be paying attention to the Princess’s affairs, so I had them wait in the drawing room.”

    “Oh.”

“Master, you seem a bit irritable lately.” Yingling blinked, pretending she understood nothing.

“Ahem, the weather is dry.” Louis wiped his nose and threw the tissue into the wastepaper basket.

The Crystal Ball suddenly lit up. Helen’s voice came through.

“Louis, Louis, why is it so dark over there?”

Yingling quickly hid behind the sofa, choosing an angle the Crystal Ball couldn’t cover, intending to eavesdrop secretly.

Seeing this gossipy fox spirit, Louis shook his head and pulled back the curtain.

Looking at Helen’s appearance in the image, Louis couldn’t help but grin — didn’t listen to the old man’s advice, had to go out and fool around, and got disciplined by mom and foster sister, huh?

Ahem, but I guess I didn’t deliberately stop it either.

“Did you have fun playing with your sister today, Helen?”

“It was fun.” Helen pouted and rubbed her eyes. “It was fun at first. But sister got spanked after she got home — Her Majesty Delphinia spanked her bottom.”

From the other side of the Crystal Ball, faint sobbing sounds could be heard — Ocris must have been right there.

After hearing Helen’s continued account, Louis almost laughed out loud — she really said everything, didn’t she? Didn’t leave her sister any face at all.

Originally, Ocris had been quite happy after returning home. But she got spanked as soon as she arrived.

And it was in front of Kate, Lilith, and a group of palace maids.

That was really humiliating. Ocris had always been one to care deeply about her dignity.

Frankischko really was quite mean. To punish her disobedient child, she not only made Ocris lose face in front of her friends and younger sisters but also had Ocris’s most annoying stepmother spank her.

Probably Frankischko was quite frustrated too. Delphinia was probably also quite upset.

It seemed Helen was saying a bit too much; Ocris couldn’t listen anymore — What are you saying? Do you have to spread all this embarrassing stuff?

“Lo-Louis. Can you, can you still come tomorrow?” Ocris appeared in the image. Her eyes were red, her little face pale with fright.

Seeing Louis stroking his chin without speaking, Ocris couldn’t help but bite her lip and said, “Please.”

Although deep down, she didn’t want to beg Louis, this was no longer about dignity — it was just herself, Helen, and Louis now, so it was fine.

Yingling blinked; she really hadn’t expected her master to have this kind of status at home usually!

Seeming to remember her sorrows, Ocris couldn’t help but cry again. Her stepmother and father’s intention was to confine her at home after tomorrow’s birthday. They also wouldn’t let her keep in contact with people from the academy anymore.

    This was terrible.

Without her to guide him, how could Louis, a student, come tomorrow?

    Barge in?

And after barging in, what then?

Wouldn’t Louis then be wanted by both the Ministry of Magic and the Muggles?

Louis had such a bright future at the Ministry of Magic; wasn’t she ruining him?

“Louis, let’s run away far from here.” Helen said with a serious face. “To my home, I’ll take care of both of you.”

“No, Helen. Your father wouldn’t agree.” Ocris said through tears.

“It’s fine, you two can secretly live in my bedroom. My bed is huge.”

The two sisters started arguing. Louis fell into thought.

Watching the two sisters argue in the Crystal Ball, Yingling almost laughed out loud — Ocris always acted so prim and proper, always putting on airs with her, often lecturing her with big principles. And this is how she is at home?

She couldn’t help but cough lightly, gently sat down next to Louis, watched the Crystal Ball with a smile for a moment, then fanned herself, leaned her head forward, and asked smilingly, “How big is the bed? Can it fit one more person?”

Ocris blinked, looked carefully at the other side of the Crystal Ball, then her whole body couldn’t help but shiver. Her face instantly turned both red and pale.

“It’s huge.” Helen gestured with her hands.

“What a good sister you are to me.” Yingling’s smile widened. “I didn’t dote on you for nothing.”

“Ahem, enough fooling around.” Louis couldn’t watch anymore. “I’ll be going tomorrow with Count Yingling, the Mages, Earl Crowley, Bishop Alwyn, and the Barriffs.”

Clearly, Louis could openly walk in through the main gate, no matter which identity he used — the Sanctuary, the pilot, or the Prince.

But in Ocris’s heart, she still saw Louis as her student.

Suddenly, Ocris remembered that she had actually been relying on this student of hers all along — his reputation in Solerndor was much higher than hers now. To attend a banquet or a celebration, why would he need to barge in?

With a rustle, the Crystal Ball on the other side was covered by a curtain.

    This conversation couldn’t continue.

Louis and Yingling looked at each other and shook their heads.

Louis called the Mages over and finished the magic lesson he had been giving. After that, the Mages agreed on a time with Louis for the next day and then all left.

After Louis returned to his study, he sorted through recent events and pondered silently.

It seemed Delphinia was planning to have Prince Nephar make a big splash at tomorrow’s daytime celebration, steal his thunder, and then arrange a matchmaking meeting in the evening.

    ‘Dream on!’

Thinking of Her Majesty Dai’s arrogant laughter today, Louis’s anger grew even stronger.

    [Louis’s Rage +5]

‘Watch me tomorrow, I’ll drag your dragon and your fake Gundam together and hammer them!’

Early the next morning, as Yingling was adjusting Louis’s shirt collar, Archie brought Alon over to knock loudly on the door.

Louis checked the time and saw it was just past seven. Thinking they could have breakfast together later, he opened the door to find Alon smiling and holding a small basket filled with things that looked like steamed buns. Apparently, Archie had instructed the kitchen to prepare Cloud Kingdom-style dishes.

A row of burly members of the Dragon Clan in suits and top hats stood in the hallway. The movie stars planning to attend the film festival at the other end of the corridor didn’t dare pass by, looking over at them with strange expressions.

Louis blinked. “This… this early? We’re leaving now?”

“We’re already late, hurry up.” Archie quickly reached out and grabbed Louis’s hand, pulling him to go.

Downstairs, they saw a long, pure black Vintage Car, the kind with a sofa in the back, parked at the hotel lobby entrance. Ayu and Afei stood by the car. Various vehicles were lined up from the hotel lobby entrance all the way outside.

Besides Stogg’s vehicles, many belonged to the Lunar Court. Priests were inserting small flags into the hoods of these cars, as if receiving foreign dignitaries.

This con group had the hard power covered.

The Earl and Bishop Alwyn seemed to have arrived early; many Templar Knights seemed to have come to join the excitement today. They were chatting with the Mages downstairs, waiting for Louis to come down. The movie stars and nobles who came for the film festival today had nowhere to park; they were all stuck at the hotel entrance, craning their necks to look inside. Guests from various countries had been numerous lately, so no one knew who was being picked up.

When Louis walked out of the lobby, the large crowd at the entrance doffed their hats and bowed respectfully. This made Louis’s steps falter slightly for a moment, and Yingling, holding his arm, blushed deeply, her walk becoming a bit unsteady.

“This… this is a bit like the Crooked-Mouthed Dragon King treatment, huh?” Louis blinked, looking at Archie.

“Today you represent the Dragon Clan of the Cloud Kingdom at the celebration. A bit of spectacle is necessary.” Archie puffed on his cigar, hands on his hips. “We Stogg are also of the Dragon Clan, how fitting — hey, put the flags on the car hoods.”

With that, Archie jumped down the steps, nudged Ayu aside, and opened the rear door for Louis and Yingling.

Once inside, Louis and Yingling sat on the sofa. The Earl, Alwyn, and Bishop John saw Louis get into that car and came over as well.

After chatting, Louis learned the Opening Ceremony was at 6 AM. It was almost 8 AM now; the King had probably taken his position.

The Red Queen and the Ministry of Magic people must have been in place too.
