Chapter 120: Meeting at the Station
by WuWangChapter 120: Meeting at the Station
Early the next morning, before daybreak, Louis, who had been sleeping soundly, suddenly scrambled out of bed and, grabbing his clothes, teleported back to his own room. This left the three young ladies utterly baffled.
Sure enough, just as Stuart had warned him in the dream, when Louis returned to his suite, he found Helen already awake in her pajamas, having searched high and low for him with her hands behind her back. She was chatting with Stuart in the living room.
As Louis emerged while putting on his shirt and yawning, Helen said, “Hurry up and get ready, Louis. Big Sis said she’s coming by train, arriving at 7 o’clock—Yingling and Lilith are coming too.”
“Oh.” Louis rubbed his eyes, glanced at the clock, and couldn’t help but cover his face. “Helen, aren’t you here a bit too early! It’s only 4 AM!”
“I’m just so happy! Big Sis is coming today. I was afraid you, the big lazybones, would sleep in again.” Helen said this as she drifted out of the room, heading back to get dressed. “Go wash up quickly.”
This made Louis feel a little guilty. He had promised to hang out with Helen, but apart from handling important matters, he ended up cleaning rooms with Ocris’s girl friends.
Seemingly sensing his master’s guilt, Stuart fawned and said, “Lord, you did the right thing. After Her Highness arrives today, you won’t have time to spend with her girl friends—they are all important supporters.”
“Is this really okay, Stuart?”
“Of course. I consulted the Magic Mirror for you,” the Grand Eunuch Stuart said to his master with a smile. “In the future, you will meet ‘One Deity, Two Emperors, Three Dragons, Four Dukes, Five Queens, and Seventy-Two Nobles’—when you change these people, you will achieve great success and change the world. Your burden is heavy and the road is long. For the sake of this world, you must continue to forge ahead through thorns and thistles!”
“Ahem, Stuart, I think you misunderstood my meaning just now.” Louis patted Stuart and said, “I meant, isn’t it a bit inappropriate to neglect Ocris’s friends? After all, they are all her supporters, and she can’t handle them alone—every one of these supporters has their own goals and interests. She can’t manage it at all. As the teacher’s student, I should help share her burdens.”
The corner of Stuart’s mouth twitched violently.
[It seems I still underestimated the boss’s… ahem, level of thinking.]
Yingling once said that if Ocris wanted to return to the throne, that throne needed many people to carry it, so even going to any lengths and using any means was justified—but she definitely never imagined that, because of the prince in the princess’s fantasies, all these people helping to carry the princess’s throne would turn out to be women!
Soon, Louis finished washing up. After fetching Helen, they knocked on Kate’s door and found no one inside. Looking out the window, they saw Kate talking with two Dragon Clan ladies in the parking lot downstairs.
Kate was wearing a new outfit and a new wide-brimmed hat today. The beautiful high heels made her look very tall, outshining the passing female celebrities around her.
The two Dragon Clan ladies were wearing suits with small felt hats on their heads. Straps for pistols were visible over their shirts. They looked dashing and heroic.
One of the Dragonborn ladies had her hands on her hips, revealing a shiny revolver. Her gaze was sharp and fierce. Occasionally, passing film crew members would look at her curiously—a white Dragonborn! That was so rare, and dressed like that, which crew was she from? But when the Dragonborn lady turned and glared, they were scared off with lowered heads—this wasn’t someone from a crew at all; she was a real fighter!
The other Dragonborn lady had one foot resting on a flower bed, her felt hat tilted to the side. She was smoking a cigar and eyeing the passersby coldly from head to toe. This scared others from getting close.
Were these the two well-behaved little kittens from last night?
Louis was speechless for a moment, wondering if he had mistaken them.
“So cool!” Helen’s eyes suddenly sparkled like stars as she pointed downstairs outside the corridor window. “Are those Mr. Archie’s bodyguards? I think I saw them last night. I really want to play with these two big sisters.”
“Hmm, Stogg is cooperating with Earl Crowley. The two young ladies were probably hired by Miss Kate from Stogg,” Louis said with a strange expression.
Was Kate planning to assign them to Ocris?!
Archie would be staying at the Royal Hotel for the near future, and many Dragonborn and vehicles would be gathered there.
Soon, the two Dragon Clan ladies drove a gray, beetle-shaped vintage car out of the hotel—it seemed they were off to handle some business.
Looking up and seeing Louis and the other two watching from the window, Kate smiled and waved, signaling for them to come downstairs so they could all go meet Ocris together.
‘What a good friend, I wonder how long it’s been since they last saw each other.’ Louis smiled.
‘Oh right, I just heard Helen say that Yingling and Lilith are coming too?’
“By the way, Lord,” Stuart suddenly remembered something. “Mr. Archie asked you to wait for him at the hotel today. He went to handle the ‘Son of Lant’ matter this morning. We should have news by noon at the latest. He probably intends to take you to have a look then.”
Louis nodded. He was also very curious about that Son of Lant. With the birthday celebration coming up soon, it was better to take a look first.
[What about Bach and Jerry?] Louis asked as he went downstairs.
[They went back to the Association—oh, and Boss. A temporary branch has been established in Blackhorn Alley. Our people have also entered various departments of the Ministry of Magic. I heard last night that Igner will be coming today too. On official business—he’s also going to the Mage Association. I’ve already given him all the necessary instructions.]
[Good.]
Currently, most of the twelve Dark Wizards were still at the temporary branch in Blackhorn Alley. Kevin was trying to arrange new identities for them and disperse them to various departments and locations within the Ministry of Magic.
After a few more words, Louis had taken the two downstairs and saw Kate by the car. After getting in, Stuart sat in the passenger seat, while Helen and Kate chattered away in the back seat.
Soon, the group arrived at the Train Station.
Louis originally thought that the Royal family would come to meet the Princess returning to the country. But there was no one at all. The scene seemed rather deserted.
However, a crowd of reporters was gathered at the entrance—this batch of Wallace’s subordinates was simply more capable than the intelligence bureau. They managed to liven up the scene quite a bit.
“Should we shoo them away, Lord?” Stuart asked.
“Don’t. Ocris loves this.” Louis said, “I bet she’ll deliberately dress very low-key and then walk a circle in front of the cameras.”
A little past seven, the three of them spotted Ocris’s figure among the crowd at the Train Station.
She was wearing a beige high-collar trench coat. Under her skirt were flesh-colored high stockings. She wore leather boots and had sunglasses and a felt hat on her face.
This attire was relatively low-key—but nowadays, big stars dressed like this!
And this beautiful Princess looked somewhat eye-catching no matter how she dressed.
Plus, she was pulling a sizable luggage cart—it was piled high with luggage, clearly bringing a lot of stuff.
The surrounding passersby were amazed to see that this young lady had such great strength. The reporters swarmed up in a flash.
Louis couldn’t help but blink either—didn’t she have a storage bag? How many clothes and high heels did she bring? Did she move her entire house here?
But come to think of it, he really hadn’t noticed she had this much strength—who pays attention to a Witch’s physical strength?
It seemed her Dragon Clan bloodline wasn’t fake. Perhaps her ranking in the Wuhua Q wasn’t just due to Magic.
[Hmph, see my strength? Don’t think only you have strength.]
Louis was a bit speechless. It seemed that because Helen showed Ocris that live stream clip of him hammering the devil shadow a few days ago, Ocris couldn’t stop thinking about it.
She wanted to get back at him in everything—so childish.
Ocris and Kate hadn’t seen each other for about five or six years, and both had changed quite a bit.
Originally, Ocris felt a bit awkward and didn’t know what to say. But when Kate hugged her tightly and started wiping away tears, Ocris also began wiping her own tears. The feelings from childhood all came flooding back at once.
Just as Louis was feeling emotional, he saw two more people standing behind Ocris—Yingling and Lilith!
Yingling was wearing a beige Peter Pan collar-style top and a beige pencil skirt. She also wore flesh-colored stockings on her legs. A small black belt around her waist highlighted her perfect curves.
She wore a beautiful beige ladies’ hat on her head, shaped like a small helmet. She also wore beige leather gloves and was calmly smoking a Smoking Pipe, coldly looking Louis up and down.
Lilith was dressed similarly to her sister, though the style seemed slightly different—Louis couldn’t quite tell, but it was clearly among the most fashionable attire of the era.
Unlike her sister, Lilith was secretly winking at Louis.
