Chapter 96 – The Yandere, Autistic Young Master’s Sister
by Salted FishThe Yandere, Autistic Young Master’s Sister (25)
Mu Bai stared at the peerless beauty before him, his eyes completely locked on her.
He immediately took his hand off his forehead and placed it into her palm, his head spinning as he let her lead him along.
He thought to himself, was he about to experience love at first sight on his very first day at a new school?!
Xu Xinghe asked a passing classmate for directions to the infirmary, then led this dazed student all the way there.
She didn’t expect to run into Lu Hanchuan halfway there. He stood at the stairwell, his gaze sweeping over the two of them with an unreadable expression, especially on Xu Xinghe’s hand holding someone else’s.
It was unbearably glaring…
“Xing Xing… let go of him.” His voice sounded as if there were grains of sand stuck in his throat, every word carrying a faint tremor.
Lu Hanchuan suppressed his crumbling emotions with all his might. He didn’t dare to explode because that would only make Xing Xing angrier.
Xu Xinghe slowly let go of the other person’s hand, but she had no intention of paying attention to Lu Hanchuan. She gave the person behind her a signal with her eyes and walked forward.
The two of them brushed past Lu Hanchuan like that. Xu Xinghe could feel his gaze boring into her back the entire time until she was out of sight.
Although Mu Bai was a little confused about the strange tension between the two, he still followed her figure obediently.
Inside the infirmary, there was a female school doctor. Xu Xinghe explained what had happened.
Mu Bai sat on the bed in the infirmary while the doctor examined his wound.
“It’s nothing serious, just a superficial scratch.”
Hearing the doctor’s words, Xu Xinghe felt relieved. She thanked the doctor. “Sorry for the trouble.”
The doctor applied a simple ointment to Mu Bai’s wound, told him not to get it wet, and then stepped out.
Xu Xinghe took out her phone and waved it at the young man in front of her. “Open your QR code. I’ll give you some compensation. I’m really sorry.”
She figured that since she had caused the problem, she should take responsibility, and this was the simplest and most direct way.
Mu Bai immediately waved his hands in refusal. How could he accept money? Besides, he was barely hurt at all.
“No need… it’s just a little scrape, isn’t it?”
Xu Xinghe didn’t say anything. She didn’t like being indebted to others. After thinking for a moment, she said to him, “Wait for me a moment.”
Mu Bai watched her leave and was a little confused, but in his heart he began fantasizing about a beautiful romance at his new school!
As soon as Xu Xinghe opened the door of the infirmary, she unexpectedly saw Lu Hanchuan’s figure in the corner.
He seemed not to have expected her to come out so suddenly, and he stood up in a fluster.
Xu Xinghe walked up to him and held out her hand. “Give me ten thousand in cash.”
She remembered that Lu Hanchuan had a habit of carrying cash. She used to tease him about being an old-fashioned brother. Little did she know that habit would actually come in handy today.
Although Lu Hanchuan was confused, he quickly took out a stack of bills from his backpack.
Xu Xinghe took them without any hesitation. She didn’t stand on ceremony with Lu Hanchuan. After all, she would pay him back later.
Not that Lu Hanchuan ever accepted her repayments, but she had offered to pay him back. The problem was he didn’t want it.
Xu Xinghe placed the stack of cash on the hospital bed. Regardless of the other party’s refusal, she said, “I’m really sorry.” She thanked him once more sincerely, then got up and left.
Before Mu Bai could even refuse, she was already gone.
He stared at the thick stack of money, and his eyes widened. Wasn’t it just a little scrape?
Judging by her attitude, she clearly didn’t want to have any further connection with him. Mu Bai thought about this with some disappointment.
His flower of love had withered before it could even bloom.
Killed by money. But a windfall of wealth made the corners of his mouth curl up uncontrollably. Honestly, he wouldn’t mind if this happened a few more times!
