Xia Yi spoke words that left Yue Liu utterly stunned.
“This trial carries mortal danger, you could die!!” the little fox replied excitedly. “I am the priestess of the Red Fox God. I’m participating in the trial to gain the power necessary to fight the White Night Cult. But what reason do you have to go?”
“For you,” Xia Yi replied.
“What?”
Hearing that, the little fox froze.
“Fox-radish, if it’s truly that dangerous, then I must go with you. I can’t allow you to die during the trial,” Xia Yi explained.
“Y-you…!”
The little fox began to grow shy, her heart beating faster and faster.
Hearing that Xia Yi was willing to risk her life and accompany her into the Red Fox God’s trial made her feel incredibly happy.

“Elly, what is it?” Xia Yi asked.
“Your Highness, the Restoration Army has become well known. Many fox clan civilians have come to enlist. Following your instructions, we have already spent the money and food supplies,” Elly explained. “Now only the provisions on the train remain. They’re enough for us dragons to use for a while, but the Restoration Army’s supplies won’t last much longer.”
“The expedition of the Restoration Army is already imminent. There’s no time to delay, we must achieve results as quickly as possible.”
“Your Highness, should we set out now?” Elly asked.
“…”
Xia Yi fell into deep thought.
She considered the possible developments that might unfold next.
