Volume 4 + Chapter 9: Pursuing With All Her Might

At that moment, after receiving Wang Qian’s phone call, Bai Yuxuan shot out of her apartment like a rocket ignited. Although Qianxue’s departure made her frantic with urgency, she did not lose all reason. As she ran, she dialed Xiao Liu’s number.

“Young master, your orders!” It was not yet six o’clock, and most people were still asleep, but Xiao Liu answered within ten seconds of Bai Yuxuan’s call.

“Qianxue is leaving Xijiang. She’s on her way to the airport right now. Have my men guard every entrance to the main airport terminal, I’ll be there immediately!”

Just as Bai Yuxuan dashed to an intersection, the screech of sudden braking came from beside her.

“Are you blind?!” Following the angry shout, Bai Yuxuan saw two helmeted men on a motorcycle yelling at her. The man on the back was holding a woman’s handbag. It seemed these two were the motorcycle bandits who had committed numerous robberies in Xijiang recently.

“The hell, I’m talking to you! Hear me? Get out of the way!” The lead thief clearly had not yet grasped the gravity of the situation and continued hurling abuse at Bai Yuxuan. Having evaded capture several times, he was now extremely arrogant, thinking that since even the police couldn’t touch him, he had nothing to fear.

But before his arrogance could swell any further, Bai Yuxuan vanished from before his eyes and reappeared at his side. Gripping the motorcycle’s handlebar with her left hand, she drove her right elbow into him, sending him flying. Even with his helmet on, the thief’s head spun with dizziness.

Meanwhile, his accomplice in the back seat saw his partner suddenly knocked flying by a black-haired young man who had appeared out of nowhere. Panic surged within him. He swung the stolen handbag directly at Bai Yuxuan.

Bai Yuxuan easily dodged with a sidestep. Seizing the opening after his failed swing, she grabbed the man’s shoulder and drove a knee into his gut. He immediately curled up, clutching his stomach like a prawn thrown into hot oil.

“Hmph, if I weren’t in such a hurry, I wouldn’t mind playing with you a bit longer.” With that, Bai Yuxuan mounted the motorcycle and sped off toward Xijiang Airport. The two fallen men were subsequently apprehended by police who arrived shortly after.

Because Bai Yuxuan had left home in too much of a rush that morning, her hair had been tied loosely. A strong headwind now scattered her braid.

Dressed all in black, her jet-black hair streaming in the wind, combined with her already handsome features and eagle-sharp eyes, Bai Yuxuan on the motorcycle looked like a black knight breaking through enemy lines, racing to the side of his princess.

By this time, some early-rising students were already on their way to school. As Bai Yuxuan sped past a group of girls on her motorcycle, her awe-inspiring appearance drew shriek after shriek of admiration.

Meanwhile, Qianxue had already arrived at the airport entrance. There were still two hours until takeoff. He had left so early because he was afraid that if he departed school too late, he would run into the morning rush of students and be spotted.

But just as Qianxue entered the airport entrance, he spotted a burly man in a suit looking around in all directions. Qianxue quickly hid behind another man nearby.

“Isn’t that Bai Yuxuan’s bodyguard? How did he get here? Has Bai Yuxuan already found out about my whereabouts?” Qianxue’s heart jolted. He hadn’t expected that at this final moment, Bai Yuxuan would discover his intentions. Nevertheless, his mind was set on leaving.

He promptly tied up his long golden hair and tucked it into a cap. Then he took a face mask from his pocket, put it on, and walked straight into the men’s restroom. After a short while, he emerged, then calmly walked past the burly bodyguard.

The bodyguard noticed a heavily bundled-up person walking by. At first, he thought this mysterious figure looked very similar in build to the young master’s girlfriend. But after seeing the person come out of the men’s restroom, he paid no further attention.

Moreover, the young master’s girlfriend was very easy to identify, with her ethereal, fairy-like face and golden hair, she was always the most eye-catching person in any crowd. Thus, Qianxue successfully entered the airport terminal.

It was only at this moment that Bai Yuxuan arrived at the airport.

“Well? Did you find him?” Bai Yuxuan asked the lead bodyguard as soon as she reached the airport.

“Not yet. The brothers have been guarding the entrances.”

“Is that so? So she hasn’t arrived yet? Impossible. According to Wang Qian, she should have been here long ago.” Bai Yuxuan felt that something was wrong.

“Young master, rest assured. Maybe Miss Ouyang is stuck in traffic. After all, someone as conspicuous as her, none of us could possibly miss her.” Seeing Bai Yuxuan deep in thought, a nearby bodyguard tried to reassure her.

But the bodyguard’s words awakened Bai Yuxuan instead. Her eyes widened suddenly, then she calmed down and looked sternly at the bodyguard.

“Hmph, if you can think of that, why wouldn’t she? She’s already disguised herself and gone inside. You idiots stay here and guard the exits, don’t let her escape again. I’ll go in and find her myself!” With that, Bai Yuxuan walked into the airport waiting hall.

“Please show your ticket and identification!” Before Bai Yuxuan could enter, she was stopped by security personnel.

“I’m not here to catch a flight, I’m looking for someone.”

“I’m sorry, letting you in without a ticket violates our regulations. How about we have our staff help you search?” the security officer suggested. But Bai Yuxuan had no patience for that.

“Show this to your supervisor and have him check who I am.” Ten minutes later, the airport supervisor personally opened a convenient passage for Bai Yuxuan with an obsequious smile. Bai Yuxuan couldn’t be bothered with him and dashed straight into the waiting hall in one swift motion.

The moment Bai Yuxuan entered the airport, Qianxue recognized her. He saw her begin to scan the crowd.

“She actually came after all!” Ouyang Qianxue’s heart raced with extreme nervousness. Still, he clung to a faint hope, after all, he was bundled up in a cap and mask, wrapped so tightly that even Bai Yuxuan probably wouldn’t recognize him, right?

But to his dismay, as soon as Bai Yuxuan’s gaze swept to his area, it locked onto him with deadly precision. Seeing the look in Bai Yuxuan’s eyes, Qianxue’s body couldn’t help but tremble.

Seeing that figure’s reaction, Bai Yuxuan confirmed her judgment. The corners of her mouth curled up involuntarily. No matter how much Qianxue disguised himself, he could not change his build or his aura. So she strode toward him.

Qianxue panicked the moment he saw Bai Yuxuan approaching him. He turned and ran. But the waiting hall had limited space. Seeing that he was about to run out of options, Qianxue gritted his teeth and resorted to his ultimate move. He took off his cap, pulled down his mask, and shouted at the top of his lungs:

“Help! Someone is trying to harass me!”

Hearing Qianxue’s cry for help, people turned to look. And when they saw Qianxue, they were stunned by his breathtaking, angelic beauty. Immediately, several men lunged at Bai Yuxuan. After all, who wouldn’t want to show off in front of a beautiful girl?

After shouting, Qianxue felt his pride bleed. But it was a desperate measure. What he hadn’t expected, however, was that even this humiliating tactic couldn’t slow Bai Yuxuan down. More than a dozen burly men couldn’t last even a few seconds against her, she knocked them all down one by one.

While Qianxue was still frozen in shock, Bai Yuxuan had already caught up. She seized his wrist firmly, her eyes blazing with anger.
