Volume 3 + Chapter 52: Make Him Call Her “Sister-in-Law”

At this moment, the movie was about to begin. Qianyue sat in the back row, somewhat bored as she listened to music on her phone. Since everyone knew how much Qianyue adored this anime film, Qianxue and Bai Yuxuan had deliberately given her the seats closer to the front.

Meanwhile, Ouyang Qianxue had become completely immersed in his music and failed to notice that the man sitting beside him was staring lecherously at his legs. Just then, the man suddenly felt someone tap him on the shoulder from behind.

“Who the hell is it?” the man asked impatiently. He still hadn’t gotten enough of admiring such a beautiful “girl.” That face, that figure, those slender legs. She was even more stunning than popular actresses on television. 

Yet before he could react further, a hand suddenly clamped around his neck and lifted him straight out of his seat.

Only then did he see clearly that the person standing before him was a young man with pale porcelain skin and a small braided ponytail. Although the youth looked rather slim, the man realized that no matter how hard he struggled, he could not break free from the boy’s grip.

“What the hell are you doing?! Let go of me!” the man shouted angrily at the youth, humiliated and furious.

“Bai Yuxuan?” Hearing the commotion around him, Ouyang Qianxue immediately recognized the young man behind him. As for Qianyue in the front row, she was too far away and far too excited for the upcoming movie to notice anything happening in the back seats.

“And you dare ogle my girlfriend like that?” Bai Yuxuan’s icy gaze made the man shudder involuntarily.

But after calming down and realizing Bai Yuxuan looked like nothing more than a student, the man grew bolder. After all, he had spent over a decade surviving in society, how could he possibly be afraid of some student?

“So what if I looked? She’s gorgeous. Am I not even allowed to take a couple glances?” The man spoke with complete confidence. He refused to believe Bai Yuxuan would actually dare start a fight in the middle of a theater.

Right then…

“Big Brother! What’s wrong?”

Two towering, muscular men walked up behind Bai Yuxuan. Both wore sleeveless shirts that revealed heavily tattooed bodies. Their arms were so thick they looked as wide as an ordinary person’s calves. They resembled genuine mafia enforcers.

The appearance of the two burly men instantly terrified the man. He wouldn’t dare provoke gangsters. Bai Yuxuan sneered coldly before speaking to the two behind him.

“Isn’t it the National Day rush? I couldn’t get seats together, so I came over to check whether my girlfriend was sitting comfortably. Who knew this bastard would not only stare at my girlfriend like a creep, but even act arrogant about it?”

“Oh? You actually dared to stare at Sister-in-Law?” One of the burly men placed a hand on the man’s shoulder and squeezed hard.

“AHHH! It hurts, it hurts! Big brothers, I was wrong!” The tremendous force made the man scream in pain.

“Am I the one you should be apologizing to?” Bai Yuxuan glared at him furiously.

“Y-Yes, of course! Sister-in-Law, I’m sorry!” The man hurriedly bowed toward Ouyang Qianxue as he apologized.

“Who are you calling ‘Sister-in-Law’? I’m not his girlfriend at all!” Ouyang Qianxue snorted coldly. From the moment he saw the two burly men, he had already realized this entire situation had been orchestrated by Bai Yuxuan. 

They were the same bodyguards he had encountered when he barged into Bai Yuxuan’s apartment before.

“See? It’s all because of you. My girlfriend’s obviously blaming me for failing to protect her. She’s so angry she won’t even admit she’s my girlfriend anymore!” As soon as Bai Yuxuan finished speaking, the two burly men stepped forward menacingly.

“You upset Sister-in-Law. If we don’t teach you a lesson, don’t even think about leaving!”

“W-Wait!” The man quickly backed away in terror.

“Sister-in-Law, please! I really know I was wrong! Please ask your boyfriend to let me go!”

“I already told you, I’m not his girlfriend!” Being called “Sister-in-Law” over and over again made Ouyang Qianxue increasingly irritated. He was obviously a grown man, and hearing himself addressed that way was unbearably humiliating.

“Looks like my girlfriend’s still angry. She still refuses to admit she’s my girlfriend. How about this, you two drag him outside, find an empty alley, and break both his legs.”

“N-No! Big Brother, I really was wrong!” The moment the man heard his legs might be broken, his face instantly turned deathly pale.

“Telling me is useless,” Bai Yuxuan said sternly.

“Sister-in-Law, I’m begging you! Please just admit you’re Big Brother’s girlfriend!” The man practically looked ready to cry as he pleaded with Ouyang Qianxue.

Ouyang Qianxue pouted slightly and rolled his eyes at Bai Yuxuan.

He thought to himself that Bai Yuxuan truly had no shame, actually using such a method to force him into admitting he was his girlfriend. Then he glanced at the frightened man again. 

Although the guy had ogled him with a disgusting expression, Ouyang Qianxue was still a man himself and didn’t feel it was worth making such a huge issue over. If he continued refusing, Bai Yuxuan might genuinely have the man’s legs broken. He couldn’t quite bear that.

Still, he absolutely refused to let Bai Yuxuan take advantage of him so easily. Suddenly struck with inspiration, he turned toward the man and said.

“I forgive you.”

Ouyang Qianxue thought that with those words, Bai Yuxuan would have no excuse left to continue. But although the man visibly relaxed in relief, Bai Yuxuan immediately grabbed him again.

“Big Brother, Sister-in-Law already forgave me!” the man said pitifully.

“But she hasn’t forgiven me yet. Look, she still refuses to admit she’s my girlfriend.”

“Sister-in-Law!” The man sounded as though he were on the verge of tears.

“You!” Ouyang Qianxue shot Bai Yuxuan a furious glare.

“Ah, forget it. Fine, I admit defeat. Call me whatever you want. Bai Yuxuan, let him go,” Ouyang Qianxue said helplessly with a sigh.

“Thank you, Sister-in-Law. Then I’ll offer this ticket to Big Brother as compensation. I won’t disturb you two anymore.” After saying that, the man handed over his ticket to Bai Yuxuan and fled the theater in embarrassment.

“Ahh, sitting beside my girlfriend really is comfortable.” Bai Yuxuan smugly sat down next to Ouyang Qianxue and casually tried to drape an arm around his shoulders.

“Who’s your girlfriend?” Ouyang Qianxue immediately slapped away the hand reaching toward his shoulder.

“Oh? Then why didn’t you deny it earlier when he called me Big Brother and called you Sister-in-Law? That means you already admitted it, you are Bai Yuxuan’s girlfriend.”

“How can that possibly count? Next time why don’t you just have your two bodyguards pin me down and force me to call you my boyfriend too?”

“How could I bear to do that? I just wanted to tease you a little.”

“Hmph. You went through all that trouble acting out a whole scene just so you could sit beside me. Aren’t you bored?”

“Not at all. If it means spending more time with you, I’m willing to do even the most troublesome things.”

Hearing those words, Ouyang Qianxue was startled inwardly. Was this really the same cold and aloof young master of the Bai family from before? Since when has he become so good at flirting? If Ouyang Qianxue weren’t actually a man, he felt he might truly have fallen for him already.

“I can’t believe you actually came up with a plan like that. What if the person sitting next to me hadn’t been some creepy pervert?”

“Haha, Qianxue, you still underestimate your own charm. With beauty capable of toppling kingdoms, the moment you sit down somewhere, even the most upright man’s eyes would turn lecherous.”

“What?” Hearing Bai Yuxuan’s words, Ouyang Qianxue quickly looked around at the surrounding audience, only to discover that all the men nearby were behaving quite properly.

“Stop looking. After that little performance just now, who would still dare stare at you?” Bai Yuxuan said with a mischievous grin.
