“T-This… how could there be such a luxurious place out in the middle of nowhere?!” After crossing over a hill, a high-end resort suddenly appeared right before their eyes.

“Qianxue…” Wang Qian looked at him with a serious expression.
“W-What’s wrong? Why are you suddenly so serious?”
“Tell me the truth, are you the principal’s illegitimate son or something?!” Wang Qian whispered while tugging at him.
“W-What kind of joke is that? Don’t you already know my background?”
“Then why are you staying somewhere this nice? Don’t think I don’t know, this place costs thirty thousand a year, and that’s in USD! Compared to this, where I’m staying is like a toilet… no, it’s not even as good as the bathroom here!”
“Uh… I was shocked too when I first arrived. But the teacher said that when this place was built, the principal invested in it, so he owns shares here.”
“So that’s how it is! Then I’m staying here with you too!” Wang Qian declared.
“What? That wouldn’t be appropriate… after all, I’m, ” Ouyang Qianxue leaned in and whispered something into her ear.
“What? Afraid you might try something on me?”
“No, I’m worried you won’t behave in your sleep. Last time…”
“Did you dare bring it up last time?!” Wang Qian glared at him furiously.

“You’re sleeping on the floor! Make your own bedding!” she snapped.
“Hey, that’s totally unreasonable!”
“Wait!” Ning Caiwei stepped in and pulled Wang Qian aside.
“Qianxue, look at how unreasonable she is, just because you’re staying somewhere nice, she wants to take over your room. That’s too much. So…”
“So I should be the one to stay with you. I sleep much more properly than she does.”
“Oh please, who was it that climbed into her bed in the middle of the night and clung to her like a dog the next morning?”
“You’re the one acting like a dog!”
“What are you two doing here?” Just as the argument escalated, a voice came from behind them.
Turning around, they saw Ouyang Qianxue’s supervising teacher standing there.
“I came to stay with Qianxue! I’m her roommate and friend, and she already agreed!” Wang Qian said confidently.
“That’s not allowed. It was already stated, only students like Qianxue, who excel in both academics and conduct, are eligible for this treatment. Even if she agrees, you still can’t stay here.”
“This is discrimination! You’re treating students differently!”
“Don’t try to argue with me. Discrimination? Let me tell you, society is harsh. As an elite, sometimes you get to enjoy privileges others don’t. The school does this to motivate you!”
“So what? I’ll pay for it myself and stay here today, let’s see what you can do! Waiter!” Wang Qian called over a staff member and slapped a bank card in front of him.
“I want a room!”
However, the staff member shook his head.
“I’m sorry, miss. Due to a prior agreement with your school, during these few days we will not accept reservations from any students other than Bai Yuxuan and Ouyang Qianxue.”
“What?!” Both Wang Qian and Ning Caiwei were stunned, while the teacher beside them smiled faintly.
“This trip is organized by the school. Everything has been arranged in advance, we already coordinated with this resort.”
“Then I’ll leave the school group right now! That way we’re no longer students, just regular customers!”
“That won’t work. You all signed agreements before departure. We’re responsible for your safety, so we can’t just let students wander off. Please leave.”
In the end, with no hope of staying, the two left the resort in frustration.
“Good thing they didn’t stay today, or my plan would’ve been ruined.” After saying this, Ouyang Qianxue glanced toward Bai Yuxuan’s room. This trip had another purpose for him, to improve his relationship with her and help her step out of her loneliness.
“But what does Bai Yuxuan think of me?” he murmured as he walked into his room.
“Does he resent me because of what happened on my birthday? But then… Why did he come to save me when Lin Tianyu kidnapped me?” Saying this, he leaned back and collapsed onto his bed.
(After interacting with her a few times, I’ve come to understand his personality somewhat. Bai Yuxuan trusts only his own rational judgment. So when considering my proposal, he will inevitably analyze it logically… He might think I approached him with some ulterior motive.)
His expression grew serious.
“This can’t go on. I have to make progress in our relationship before this trip ends, otherwise, it’ll only get harder later.” He sighed.
“But come to think of it, Bai Yuxuan and I really are completely different people…” he reflected.
