“I say, Qianxue, you aren’t actually interested in Lin Tianyu, are you?” Ning Caiwei asked Ouyang Qianxue after they had walked some distance away.
“Impossible!” Ouyang Qianxue immediately denied it. I’m a guy with a perfectly normal sexual orientation. Even though I’m wearing a dress, my heart is still a man’s heart.
“Then why didn’t you just refuse him outright back there? And you said those things to him, making it seem like you were giving him a chance.”
“But wasn’t he interested in you?” Ouyang Qianxue asked, surprised, after hearing Ning Caiwei’s words.
“You, ah! Sigh~ Qianxue, you really have no awareness of being Sakura High’s number one beauty at all,” Ning Caiwei said, sighing and shaking her head in response to Qianxue’s words.
By the next day, as soon as Ouyang Qianxue entered the classroom, she found her classmates gathered around her desk, chattering excitedly about something.
“What’s going on?” Ouyang Qianxue asked the surrounding classmates.
“The main character is finally here! Hurry and take a look, Ouyang, someone sent you flowers!” The classmates made way, revealing a large bouquet of roses, about fifteen inches in diameter, sitting on her seat.
“How do you know these are for me? Maybe they were delivered to the wrong person?” Ouyang Qianxue said, his voice trembling slightly as he looked at the bouquet.
“Because there’s a letter in those roses, and the envelope has your name on it.” Following her classmates’ prompting, Ouyang Qianxue noticed a beautifully decorated card nestled among the roses. The envelope was addressed in calligraphic script: “For Ouyang Qianxue,” accompanied by several hand-drawn hearts.
“Look, this is clearly a love letter, right?” The girls nearby gathered around to say.
“Although we know Ouyang’s charm is extraordinary, receiving such a grand gift as roses and a love letter is still enviable.”
“So nice, truly worthy of being Sakura’s number one beauty.” Most of the girls around showed expressions of envy.
Meanwhile, the boys’ faces all showed a sense of crisis.
“Which clueless jerk dared to make the first move?” Some of the boys looked furious, wishing they could beat up the guy who wrote the letter.
“Just wait to get shot down by our school belle!”
“Goddess Qianxue, please don’t agree, at least let me keep dreaming for the remaining two-plus years of high school,” others prayed for the guy’s failure.
“Haha,” Ouyang Qianxue could only manage a bitter smile.
(I just wanted to get through high school peacefully. Why do I have to run into this kind of thing? Ugh!)
Just then, Bai Yuxuan happened to walk into the classroom. Seeing the roses in Ouyang Qianxue’s hands, Bai Yuxuan paused for a moment, then pretended nothing was wrong and sat down at the adjacent desk.
“Aren’t you going to open the envelope and see who wrote it, Ouyang?” one of the girls asked.
“Yeah, yeah! We all want to see which brave soul had the courage to write a love letter confessing to you.”
“Must be some young master from somewhere, right?” The surrounding girls wore expressions of curiosity and gossip, while the boys also pricked up their ears and clenched their fists. We’re her classmates, yet we didn’t dare make a move because she’s too outstanding, and now someone just does it so easily. They were all very curious about who could possess such confidence.
Ouyang Qianxue slowly opened the envelope. Inside was a postcard and two hazelnut chocolates. After seeing the content of the postcard, the girls around looked puzzled.
“Why is it a seven-character regulated verse poem?”
“You fools! Read the first character of each line together!” A sharp-eyed classmate pointed out, and everyone realized the poem was actually an acrostic. Read together, the first characters formed the sentence: “Ouyang Qianxue, I like you.”
“Wow! So thoughtful!”
“But who wrote this letter?” Ouyang Qianxue searched for a while but couldn’t find the sender’s name on the letter. Just as she was wondering, she suddenly noticed a line of words on the back:
“Look out the window!”
So, everyone followed the letter’s instructions and looked out the window. A drone was approaching the teaching building, trailing a banner that clearly read, “Ouyang Qianxue, My Goddess,” followed by an arrow.
Following the arrow downward, they saw the sports field covered in roses arranged to spell out Ouyang Qianxue’s name, preceded by a heart.
Then, Ouyang Qianxue spotted a boy standing in the middle of the field. And that person was none other than Lin Tianyu.
Seeing Ouyang Qianxue, Lin Tianyu began waving energetically at her.
“To think the one confessing is that transfer student from the other day!”
“He’s handsome, tall, and good at basketball too.”
“Yeah, and I heard he ranked in the top twenty in last month’s exams.”
“Truly worthy of Qianxue, capturing the transfer student’s heart in less than a week.”
“What is that guy doing?!” Ouyang Qianxue wished she could rush over and slap him.
Ahem. Lin Tianyu cleared his throat and began shouting towards the teaching building.
“Ouyang Qianxue! You are the most special girl I have ever met in my life! Since I saw you, my heart beats only for you! So, to calm the excitement in my heart, and to be more of a man like you said, I stand here today to tell you my feelings. Ouyang Qianxue, I like you! Be my girlfriend!”
As soon as these words were uttered, the entire teaching building erupted. Some were cheering Lin Tianyu on, while others scolded him for overestimating himself, daring to set his sights on the school belle.
Meanwhile, the students in Qianxue’s class were urging her to respond quickly.
“I’m sorry…” Just as Ouyang Qianxue was about to refuse, several people suddenly tackled Lin Tianyu to the ground.
“What are you doing?” Lin Tianyu looked back and saw they were a few of the school’s security guards.
“You think you can stop me?” Lin Tianyu immediately got up and fought back, quickly knocking down several guards. However, just as he was about to continue his confession, someone tripped him, then pinned him down with a joint lock.
“They couldn’t stop you, but can I?”
Hearing the voice from behind him, Lin Tianyu’s body suddenly trembled.
“You? How did you…”
Seeing who had subdued Lin Tianyu, Ouyang Qianxue was shocked. It was Bai Yuxuan!
“When did Bai Yuxuan get down there?”
“Bai, why are you interfering?” Lin Tianyu asked resentfully.
“Could it be that you have feelings for Ouyang…”
“I’m merely fulfilling my duties as Student Council President. You disrupted normal teaching order. Your punishment is to clean the toilets for a week and write a five-thousand-word self-criticism. The rest of you, clean up this mess immediately.” Under Bai Yuxuan’s command, within less than ten minutes, the roses on the sports field were completely cleared away.
