Volume 4 Chapter 247
by Need_More_SleepVolume 4 + Chapter 247: The Day of Death
Tia swung her holy sword, cleaving Blake in two, defeating this vampire prince.
Tia sheathed her holy sword and lance, looking down at the corpse on the ground, her eyes filled with disdain.
The dragons watching this were truly astonished.
“The human Knight King is actually this strong?”
“It’s truly unbelievable…”
“Completely different from the human race I imagined.”
Xia Yi also found it incredible.
Tia’s progress in strength was too rapid!
This was simply not a realm an ordinary human could reach.
The holy lance Tia used earlier, Xia Yi knew of it. As for the holy sword, it also looked familiar.
“Balmung?”
Xia Yi remembered, wasn’t this holy sword the one used by the fake Sword Saint?!
That Tia could now wield this holy sword meant she had the qualifications of a Holy Sword Wielder, and she was already a Holy Lance Wielder…
Suddenly, a word surfaced in her mind,
Human King.
Back in the Laurel Academy, within the small World Tree’s recorded history, the Human King of the Mythical Era was both a Holy Sword Wielder and a Holy Lance Wielder, capable of using both weapons.
The faintly visible divine halo she had just seen also resembled that of the Mythical Era’s Human King.
Though not fully manifested, this level was already incredibly impressive!
“Tia is amazing…”
Xia Yi couldn’t help but marvel.
“Xia Yi?”
Tia heard Xia Yi’s voice, turned, and looked at her.
“Uh…”
Under Tia’s gaze, Xia Yi felt rather awkward and guilty.
Although Blake’s statements contained some exaggeration, those events had indeed occurred.
Statements like, “I was forced into bed with that bad woman, marrying her wasn’t because I liked her!”, sounded exactly like making excuses.
“Xia Yi, was what Blake said earlier true?” Tia walked up to her and asked.
There’s no escaping it!
Xia Yi was helpless, but she still didn’t want to deceive Tia. She could only nod silently.
“Today was supposed to be my wedding with Elizabeth, but I ran away.”
“Ran away of your own free will?”
“Yes. I didn’t want to marry her. I hate that woman.”
Xia Yi knew it wasn’t very convincing, but she still voiced her thoughts.
“Mhm, I understand,” Tia replied flatly.
“Huh?”
Xia Yi looked up at Tia, but from her unreadable, calm eyes, it was impossible to discern her meaning.
What does that mean?
Is she happy or angry?
Xia Yi couldn’t figure it out but felt too embarrassed to probe further about Tia’s opinion. After all, for her, this was truly a very embarrassing matter.
“Anyway, thank you, Tia. But there’s one more thing, could you help me?” Xia Yi requested.
“What is it?”
“This… could you take this off for me?”
Xia Yi turned around, presenting her tail.
She distinctly felt Tia’s gaze fixed on her large tail. For some reason, she felt somewhat bashful.
Tia asked, puzzled, “What’s on your tail?”
“This is something that bad woman forced on me. After putting it on, my dragon powers are suppressed.”
“Oh, I see. Let me try then.”
Tia reached out and touched Xia Yi’s tail.
Xia Yi trembled all over, her face beginning to burn.
Wait, it’s just Tia touching my tail… Why does it feel… so embarrassing!!
To think one day, Tia would touch my tail… sob sob.
“So this is what Xia Yi’s tail feels like to touch,” Tia remarked with a sigh.
Tia, stop… stop teasing me!
The dragons are watching! My dignity will be completely gone!!
Xia Yi cried out inwardly.
“Xia Yi, I’m starting now,” Tia reminded her.
“…Mhm.”
Tia condensed holy power in her hand, beginning to dismantle the magic Elizabeth had imposed by neutralizing it.
Though progress was slow, Xia Yi clearly felt the suppression gradually fading.
She breathed a sigh of relief.
Once the suppression from the tail ring is lifted, it’s time for the next step.
After all, the Anti-Vampire Alliance must quickly defeat the vampire army, breach the capital, and help Xia Lulu.
The little princess began to pray in her heart.
Xia Lulu, please don’t let anything happen. You must wait for me…
…
…
Holy Crimson Empire, Capital.
In the sky, thousands of ice swords hovered, falling like a torrential downpour.
The Silver Dragon Queen, Xia Lulu, had activated her Silver Dragon Royal bloodline, using her astonishing magical capacity to bombard the area below.
Within the rain of ice swords, a crimson figure moved rapidly, wielding a blood spear, continuously slicing through the ice swords.
“Truly astonishing strength, Xia Lulu. You live up to being the strongest higher-ranked species king.”
Herman swung his blood spear once. A brilliant crimson light surged forth, cleaving through the curtain of ice swords.
The path he moved along continuously spread blood outward, covering the ground, transforming into a sea of blood.
Matching Xia Lulu’s extraordinary magical capacity, Herman also displayed an astounding blood pool volume.
He blocked the vast majority of the ice sword bombardment, though a few still struck him.
The moment he was injured, he immediately used his blood pool to repair the damage, achieving a near-immortal state.
“Truly worthy of being the strongest higher-ranked species king on this continent. Unfortunately, your opponent happens to be me!”
Herman’s pupils suddenly contracted, undergoing a subtle change.
The divine empowerment he received was of the highest grade. Coupled with him being a higher-ranked species king, his strength was naturally,
“Feel power that transcends this era!! Crimson Moon Domain, Expand!”
The moon in the sky turned blood-red, casting crimson radiance upon the entire world. In that moment, Herman transformed into the monarch dominating this crimson world.
“Pseudo · Mythical Era Blood Magic · Blood Shark!”
From the river of blood behind Herman, a massive black shadow emerged, swiftly swimming toward Xia Lulu.
“Thunderbolt Lance!!”
Xia Lulu sensed immense danger and immediately unleashed a ferocious lightning strike toward the river of blood.
The black shadow actively leaped out of the blood river, revealing itself to be a gigantic blood shark that opened its maw wide toward Xia Lulu.
The Thunderbolt Lance struck the blood shark, merely tearing its outer skin but failing to stop it.
Xia Lulu wanted to use the Dragon King’s power to repel the blood shark, but under the crimson moon’s illumination, she felt her strength draining.
“Ugh… Ah!”
The blood shark’s sharp teeth clamped onto Xia Lulu. The tremendous force nearly crushed the petite silver-haired dragon loli’s body.
It was at this moment Herman took aim at Xia Lulu and hurled his blood spear.
Due to the blood shark’s bite, the blood spear struck Xia Lulu with pinpoint accuracy.
The Dragon King in the sky was struck down, crashing to the ground.
Xia Lulu lay fallen, blood flowing from her wounds, staining her silver hair red.
Herman summoned another blood spear and looked at Xia Lulu. “Silver Dragon Queen, I told you, today is the day of your death.”
