Volume 4 + Chapter 237: The Fierce Battlefield

    “Berserk Bull Rush!!”

The Minotaur Chieftain held his totem high, stomped heavily on the ground, and leaped into the air.

At the same time, he raised his totem toward the vampire army.

A green radiance showered down from the sky, enveloping the vampire soldiers, who immediately felt an overwhelming, savage aura bearing down on them.

Then, the Minotaur Chieftain plummeted like a bomb, swinging his massive totem and smashing it into the midst of the vampire forces.

In the next instant, the earth rippled like waves, utterly devastating the ground.

A terrifying shockwave rapidly spread in all directions, hurling vampire soldiers into the air.

Immediately after, the Minotaur Chieftain revealed his true prowess, unleashing an even more formidable combat technique.

    “Ultimate Berserk Bull Rush!!”

The enormous totem was swung once more by the Minotaur Chieftain, crashing down onto the ground again.

This impact was like a volcanic eruption, an invisible force akin to molten lava slammed into the vampire soldiers, shattering their bodies completely.

    “Power! Power! Power! Power! Power!”

    “Might! Might! Might! Might! Might!”

    “Chieftain, we revere you!!”

Witnessing this, the minotaurs fell into a frenzy of worship, cheering wildly.

As barbarians, they reveled in crushing their enemies with sheer, brutal force.

“What an utterly crude way of fighting. No wonder these brutes think of nothing but brawling all day, all brawn and no brain.”

The elven general observed the minotaurs’ combat with open disdain.

According to the battle plan, the elves were primarily responsible for providing support from the rear.

They offered long-range archery cover, cast auxiliary magic, such as healing severely wounded frontline warriors with nature magic or dispelling negative status effects encountered in battle.

“Damn those dragons, forcing us elves to assist the armies of other races. This is clearly deliberate targeting… When merits are tallied later, our elven contribution will undoubtedly be the least!”

Though seething inwardly, Kennedy knew that due to his own previous missteps, the elves’ influence within the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance had subtly waned compared to the dragons’.

Especially during the last alliance meeting, his performance had been nothing short of a joker card.

“Just you wait, dragons. There will be time. I’ll make sure you won’t be laughing for long!”

    …

As the aerial force, the dragons soared through the sky, circling above the rear of the vampire troops.

These giant dragons acted like bombers, continuously breathing streams of dragonfire.

Well-trained dragon soldiers ascended and descended, alternating their attacks to achieve seamless assault, overwhelming the vampire side.

    Boom! Boom! Boom!

For a time, explosions were ceaseless, inflicting heavy losses on the vampire army.

The dragons’ mobility in this regard was simply too superior.

They could bypass the frontline entirely, air-drop directly onto the rear for strikes, cutting off reinforcements from the back to the front and severely weakening the frontline’s combat effectiveness.

Though vampires could also fly, the gap between them and dragons was vast, like the difference between a great white shark and a goldfish. They stood no chance of stopping them.

“The battle situation is far too unfavorable for our soldiers!”

The combat commander of the vampire rear forces was frantic.

He turned to the soldiers beside him.

“What is the response from the capital?! We urgently need reinforcements!!”

“Commander, there is still no reply…”

“If they don’t arrive soon, if we can’t reinforce the frontline, we won’t hold out!!”

The commander roared. Gritting his teeth, he glared at the dragons wreaking havoc ahead and steeled his resolve.

    “I must regroup our forces!”

He intended to gather all remaining combat strength, brave the dragons’ bombardment zone, break through to the front, and merge with the frontline forces.

Though this would incur even greater losses, it was better than having the battlefield divided and being defeated piecemeal.

Just as he prepared to issue the order, a voice interrupted him.

    “Wait.”

The commander turned and saw a figure landing on the battlefield. His expression immediately changed.

A man in white robes appeared before the troops. He had long, wavy golden hair and wore somewhat flamboyant makeup, with seductive red eyeshadow at the corners of his eyes. His features were not sharply defined but instead carried a delicate, androgynous beauty.

His name was Francis, a vampire prince of extraordinary lineage.

    “Greetings, Lord Francis!!”

The combat commander was visibly excited upon seeing the vampire prince arrive in person.

“The Divine Ancestor has given the order. Herman is leading us to the battlefield personally to deal with the foreign races.”

    Francis wore an elegant expression.

His voice held an ambiguous, gender-neutral quality. Were it not for his fame among vampires, anyone meeting him for the first time would surely mistake him for a woman.

    “Lord Francis, those dragons…”

    “Leave the lizards to me.”

Francis raised his hand. His blood energy materialized, coalescing into an exquisitely crafted rapier, its hilt even adorned with a butterfly motif.

“Blood Magic · Blood Butterfly Rapier.”

Facing the dragon’s breathing streams of fire, this vampire prince swung his weapon, tracing a ferocious crimson arc that severed the dragon’s breath mid-air and sent the dragon soldier crashing down from the sky.

Seeing this, the captain of the Anti-Vampire Special Operations Unit charged down from the heavens, roaring at Francis.

“How laughable. Do you dare defy me, who bears divine empowerment?!”

Francis swung the Blood Butterfly Rapier again. Several crimson sword shadows shot toward the captain simultaneously, each strike reaching the level of a higher-ranked species king, far beyond the captain’s ability to defend.

At that moment, the captain felt as though death was imminent…

    Whoosh!

An ice wall materialized before the captain, actually deflecting Francis’s sword slashes and saving him.

The ice wall slammed onto the ground, and standing atop it was a silver-haired loli, Xia Lulu.

“Your Majesty!” the captain couldn’t help but exclaim.

    “…Your Majesty?”

Francis looked at Xia Lulu, slightly taken aback, but quickly grasped the situation.

The person before him must be the Silver Dragon Queen, Xia Lulu. He had heard from Herman earlier that Xia Lulu was also on the battlefield.

“Vampire prince, where is my daughter?” Xia Lulu demanded coldly.

“Silver Dragon Queen, are you referring to… Xia Yi · Christie?”

Francis narrowed his eyes, thought for a moment, then curled his lips into a smile.

A rather amusing idea occurred to him.

“The Silver Dragon Princess committed an utterly foolish act. At her wedding with the Divine Ancestor, she chose to flee. After being captured, she was executed. She is dead!”
