    Chapter 727: Demonic Curse Words

Kallez raised both hands as violent Shadow Power gathered in his grasp. Jesse recognized this magic; the demon intended to unleash a Shadow Bolt Volley to kill everyone at once.

The other warlocks, seeing the demon cast, guessed its intent and hid behind stone pillars and statues around the altar. Jesse and the two summoners stood too close to escape.

Stopping such a demon with Felhounds or Counterspell seemed impossible. Yet Jesse glanced at the dark orb summoned by the Doomlord, gauging its contained energy.

A direct hit from the orb would be fatal, but scattered as Shadow Bolts? He could endure it.

Swiftly, he conjured Dark Protection and gulped a Shadow Protection Potion.

As predicted, the shadow sphere released waves of Shadow Bolts that pounded the ground, flagstones, distant hillsides, and cliffs…

Mor’zul also drank a Shadow Protection Potion, dodging bolts while sprinting toward the arena’s edge. Still, a bolt struck him down, leaving him coughing violently.

Elaine barely held on behind a Shadow Protection barrier. Regis Far, who’d maintained the binding circle, collapsed unconscious before Shadow Bolts charred his corpse. The Bronzebeard dwarf behind a statue lost his footing when struck, tumbling into the altar’s lava.

Jesse blocked volleys with his Dark Shield, even casting Mage Armor mid-defense. When the barrage ended, his shield lay shattered—yet the potion’s protection remained!

The Doomlord seethed at this mortal who’d tanked his magic. He vomited fel fire straight at Jesse. The flames breached Jesse’s renewed Dark Shield, scorching his skin crimson. Burns blossomed, but the damage fell far short of the demon’s expectations…

"Who fears fire less, demon?" Jesse whispered.

Enraged, the demon stomped down with a massive hoof. Jesse couldn’t absorb that blow—but the creature’s sluggishness let him dodge easily.

Kallez’s wings swept the area. No agility could evade such range, yet Jesse Shadowstepped behind another demon, avoiding the strike.

The demon whirled toward distant Jesse, sensing this warlock’s abnormality. He conjured a concentrated Shadow Bolt to obliterate this persistent pest.

But as the Demon Lord pursued Jesse, warlocks emerged from pillars to hurl curses. Their combined magic interrupted Kallez’s spell, staggering him mid-cast.

Seizing the moment, Jesse chanted Fireball. Yet the demon gathered scattered Shadow Power, muttering incantations.

The second Fireball blasted toward Kallez’s chest. The demon blocked with crossed arms. His forearm’s metal bracer shattered, clanging against stone.

Simultaneously, Kallez completed his spell. Two small portals tore open behind him. Felhounds surged through, lunging at the nearest warlocks!

Servants reacted swiftly, shielding masters from the imps. Still, one warlock fell instantly—Tobias, maintaining the binding circle, had his spell Counterspelled mid-turn before a Felhound tore his throat.

Luther Pickman fended off multiple Felhounds with his succubus and dagger. Worse, slain warlocks’ demon servants defected to the Doomlord. The Storm Altar’s twenty-against-one battle now neared equal numbers!

Molofeel and Jesse guarded each other—dagger against Azuresong Mageblade. After drinking a Potion of Demon Slaying, Jesse cleaved through Felhounds like parchment with the demon sword’s power. Limbs and heads severed under blue light, while Molofeel’s flaming dagger ignited foes that fled shrieking.

They carved a momentary clearing, but portals kept spewing Felhounds. Warlocks couldn’t cast spells against the gates under this assault!

The Demon Lord knelt weakened at the altar’s center, laughing with his last strength.

Jesse realized the demon’s will now hung by a thread. For ordinary warlocks, it remained insurmountable—but Jesse wasn’t ordinary.

    "Protect me, Molofeel!"

    "Always, master," the succubus answered.

Jesse ignored the Felhounds and masterless succubi. Molofeel’s darting shadow handled such trifles. He gripped his Chain of Will, focusing solely on the demon.

"Vitath, Tahotroski, Milon, Tahototani! Obey me, demon!"

The Doomlord coughed violently, eyes locking onto the shadow sigil blazing on his forehead. He clawed at it futilely with thick fingers.

The warlocks had drained this giant’s power and will to nothing. Resistance crumbled under Jesse’s enslavement—amplified by the Chain of Will!

As the sigil burned into the demon’s skull, Kallez collapsed to his knees, roaring: "Don’t imagine eternal enslavement, mortal! I’ll remember your name forever! The Burning Legion will hunt Jesse Seso’s soul for millennia!"

Jesse ignored the threat. "Close the portals! Now! Command!"

"Foolish order! You seize my will just to shut doors? Stop my killing? I could crush these idiots around you!"

The Doomlord raged—yet still waved the portals shut.

Without reinforcements, remaining Felhounds fell to warlocks and loyal servants. Traitorous demons were purged. Only six or seven warlocks still stood on the Storm Altar.

Bloodied Mor’zul stared dazedly from the ground. "You enslaved… Lord Kallez?"

Jesse had no energy to reply. His focus snapped back as Kallez coughed: "Your will surprises me. But my strength will return… while yours fades. Cherish this fleeting victory before the calamity I bring."

The demon laughed. Jesse doubted whether the Flask of Distilled Wisdom would sustain his control over this Doomlord.

He had to issue the crucial command now.

In Demonic, Jesse declared: "Dangerous indeed. Second command: confess your true name to your master!"

    "True name?!"

The demon hammered his pauldron. Lips trembled with stifled curses—until an overwhelming roar exploded in Jesse’s mind:

    "Kaal’ael’aak’ro’othmons!"

The true name seared into Jesse’s consciousness. Merely retaining it drained his energy anew. He steadied himself, breathing through the psychic torrent as the demon rasped: "Finally… a worthy command. Pity such a noble name rots in your flesh for mere decades."

Molofeel retorted in Demonic: "Unfortunately, your new master outlives mortals. Endure the wait."

Kallez studied the succubus, then told Jesse: "Don’t celebrate long. My loyal servant Dethmoora will kill you… master." He sneered at the title. "She excels at deceiving weak mortals. Wait for it, resilient insect."

Jesse pulled Dethmoora’s Soul Shard from his demon bag. "Skilled at disguising as this?"

The Doomguard Soul Shard left warlocks speechless. A human enslaving a Doomlord? Dethmoora’s captured essence? Reality strained comprehension.

Kallez froze at the Soul Shard’s violet glow—then erupted in Demonic curses. Molofeel laughed. Jesse shot her a glance, grateful he’d skipped that scroll of demonic profanity.
