Chapter 965: Trouble Approaches!
After everything had been resolved, a smile appeared on Su Yi’s face.
Even more delighted was Su Xiaoshuai, who stuck out his little head, his eyes darting around. He eagerly asked Su Yi, “Boss, can we go have some barbecue now?”
Just thinking about the taste of that barbecue made Su Xiaoshuai almost drool.
“What barbecue? You should be focused on your practice and strive to break through to the Demonic Emperor Realm as soon as possible.”
Su Yi flicked Su Xiaoshuai’s head and, to his surprise, even in the Chaos Realm, they were still hiding and being pursued by others. Their cultivation was not yet sufficient.
“I’m almost at the Demonic Emperor Realm, but you’re still far from the Yuan Emperor Realm,” muttered Su Xiaoshuai, casting Su Yi a disdainful look.
“What did you just say?” Su Yi asked, narrowing his eyes.
“Nothing, nothing,” Su Xiaoshuai quickly replied. “So, where do we head next?”
He wasn’t foolish, and he didn’t dare repeat his earlier comment.
“Let’s go sell some items and see if we can buy anything useful.”
Su Yi wanted to visit a business that had a mysterious space, where many rare potions and treasures had been seized. He planned to sell some of his own goods there.
Realizing how many Yuan Stones he still owed to Lingbao Pavilion—an almost astronomical sum—Su Yi felt a slight pang of discomfort.
He had borrowed a vast amount of money from Lingbao Pavilion for an unopenable wooden box, and now he felt a bit regretful.
However, when he thought about how Sacred Mountain had always coveted that wooden box, and now it was in his possession, Su Yi’s mood lightened considerably.
Half an hour later, Su Yi arrived at the entrance of a business.
The large entrance was bustling with activity, with people coming and going, creating a lively atmosphere.
Though several businesses were in the area, none were as vibrant or prosperous as this one.
The sign above caught Su Yi’s attention. The three characters “Lingbao Pavilion” on the gate stirred both familiarity and a touch of heartache in him.
Su Yi was surprised to find a branch of Lingbao Pavilion in Sword Star City. His older brother, Xi Wuqing, had once mentioned that Lingbao Pavilion had a mysterious origin and an incredible heritage. It had branches across the entire six lands, three continents, and one ocean.
Now, Su Yi was convinced of the truth of that claim. He never expected to find a Lingbao Pavilion in Sword Star City within the Chaos Realm.
“Everyone, there are too many people inside. Please be patient for a while. Lingbao Pavilion will offer a fifteen percent discount. Thank you for your understanding.”
At the grand entrance of Lingbao Pavilion, amidst the bustling crowd, disciples of Lingbao Pavilion were busily coordinating the flow of people.
“The business here is unexpectedly thriving!”
Su Yi couldn’t help but marvel. Lingbao Pavilion’s prosperity was undeniable. Its branches across the entire six lands, three continents, and one ocean were a testament to its formidable heritage. It was no surprise that they had extended such generous credit to him.
Since he still owed a substantial amount of Yuan Stones to Lingbao Pavilion, and had some spiritual medicines and weapons to sell, Su Yi guessed that Lingbao Pavilion would offer higher prices for these items. So, he decided to hand them over directly to the business.
The area was filled with loud discussions and the general clamor of Sword Star City, which seemed even livelier at night than during the day.
Su Yi listened quietly to the conversations around him and gathered useful information.
The most talked-about news recently was the appearance of a precious treasure in the mountains. Powerful figures from the Mysterious Sword Gate, Green Dark Sect, Liuhe Sect, Seven Star Sword Sect, and Golden Sword Sect had all ventured there to search for the treasure.
Despite the treasure’s allure, many were hesitant to join in the hunt, not because they feared the strong forces from these sects, but because deep within those mountains lay the domain of the demonic clan. Several Demon Emperors were rumored to reside there, including the Purple Elephant Emperor, Dragon Rhinoceros Emperor, Xuan Turtle Emperor, and the Soul Devouring Emperor that Su Yi had encountered.
Ordinary people feared venturing too far into those areas, as they would be torn apart by the demonic beasts. Rumor had it that many had already perished in the region.
Many people had encountered these demonic beasts and suffered severe injuries, narrowly escaping with their lives.
Even knowing that a valuable treasure was nearby, those without the necessary strength dared not approach.
Among the discussions, some were talking about an alliance conference, which seemed to be a significant event for the entire Chaos Realm.
Recently, Sword Star City had seen an influx of people. Su Yi overheard that the news of the treasure had drawn so many to the city.
As the closest city to the treasure’s location, Sword Star City had become especially crowded.
Numerous mercenaries, adventurers, and wandering cultivators couldn’t reach the destination, so they were forced to turn back.
However, due to the large Beast Tide, they had managed to gather something useful.
Some had fought against the Beast Tide and suffered heavy losses. As a result, they lined up to sell spiritual medicine and practice resources, replenishing their supplies of spiritual items.
After all, having a healing pill on hand could mean the difference between life and death.
After about half an hour, Su Yi was finally close to the entrance of Lingbao Pavilion, standing in line behind the crowd.
“Make way, make way, Young Sect Leader Ran is coming, clear the path!”
A loud voice rang out, followed by several figures pushing through the crowd. The people behind quickly stepped aside, their faces showing resentment but no one dared to speak out.
Su Yi turned and narrowed his eyes slightly. Several youths were approaching, the one in the lead wearing red clothes and black hair. He had a handsome face and appeared to be about twenty-four or twenty-five, with an expression of arrogance.
On either side of this young man were two other youths of similar age, even more arrogant, surrounding the leader in red and clearing a path for him.
Five young individuals, each with extraordinary presence, all carried swords on their backs.
The young man in red stood out, his aura seemingly invisible but still radiating an arrogance that suggested he had reason for it.
Su Yi recognized this young man. He had seen him outside the city before, riding the Aoka Split Heavenly Tiger mount. He appeared to be the Young Sect Leader of the Seven Star Sword Sect, and his name was likely Ran Yan.
From the conversations Su Yi had overheard earlier, he learned that the Seven Star Sword Sect, Green Dark Sect, Golden Sword Sect, Liuhe Sect, and Mysterious Sword Gate were among the strongest forces in the region. They were regarded as some of the top factions in the Chaos Realm.
“Make way, don’t block the path of Young Sect Leader Ran!”
The four youths with Ran Yan shouted, escorting him toward the entrance of Lingbao Pavilion. No one dared to stand in their way.
Su Yi gritted his teeth, raised an eyebrow, and stepped aside.
Ran Yan and his companions passed by Su Yi with a look of disdain, brushing shoulders with him.
“Swoosh…”
A young man on the side accidentally bumped into Su Yi’s shoulder. Su Yi had been about to turn around but was unable to move back due to the crowd behind him.
