Chapter 932: The Primitive Forest!
To protect Su Xiaoshuai from trouble, Su Yi urgently commanded the Dark Golden Demon Falcon to travel swiftly in the direction and to the location provided by the Wolf-headed Demon Bat, not daring to stop along the way.
However, the Dark Golden Demon Falcon’s cultivation was not as advanced as that of the Wolf-headed Demon Bat. While its speed was comparable, its cultivation level forced occasional delays. This made Su Yi even more reluctant to stop.
The Green Emperor, Yin-Yang Dark Emperor, and others were absent, and the Demonic Void Realm demon beasts had yet to return. Meanwhile, the Golden Gryphon and the others were refining Spiritual Essence inside the mysterious space, leaving Su Yi with no alternatives.
The mountains stretched endlessly, forming a vast expanse of varying terrains.
After nearly ten hours—a full day and night—the expansive primitive forest loomed ahead, as if separating this world from another. In the dim, pre-dawn darkness, the forest appeared hazy yet magnificent.
“It’s right up ahead,” Su Yi murmured, gazing forward. In the dark, the Dark Golden Demon Falcon emitted a faint golden glow. According to the Wolf-headed Demon Bat’s directions, they were close.
“We’ve arrived,” Su Yi stated, directing the falcon to land. After nearly a full day of travel, the Dark Golden Demon Falcon was panting heavily, its strength nearly depleted.
Jumping off the falcon, Su Yi chose a concealed spot and used his spiritual power to probe the surroundings. He then allowed the falcon to enter the mysterious space to recover. Inside the space, he checked on Huang Jian, the Golden Gryphon, the Red Wind Black-Eyed Demon Monkey, and the others, who were all benefiting from its mystical properties.
Huang Jian appeared to be on the verge of a breakthrough, his aura steadily rising. However, it remained uncertain when he would succeed.
The forest ahead was vast and seldom visited. Towering ancient trees soared into the skies, their immense size defying imagination. Some roots grew out of the trunks and branches mid-air, gradually thickening and forming pillar-like structures that supported the trees’ crowns. They twisted and intertwined like coiled serpent-dragons.
“There are demon beasts here, and plenty of them!” Su Yi muttered to himself.
As he ventured deeper into the forest, he immediately sensed the presence of many demon beasts, some belonging to formidable demonic clans. The Wolf-headed Demon Bat had forewarned him, so he was not surprised.
This was the Chaos Realm, and the mountain range was infamous for its powerful demonic beings, with countless lesser demon beasts thriving in their wake.
Remaining vigilant, Su Yi understood that this primitive forest was a haven for demon beasts. It teemed with peculiar and dangerous creatures lurking in every shadow.
“Roarrrr…”
Deep within the forest, the roar of a beast echoed, reverberating through the air.
As the sky gradually brightened, Su Yi navigated the forest, his gaze scanning the towering trees. To his astonishment, he noticed numerous black ants—each the size of an adult human.
His surprise grew as he realized these were no ordinary ants; they were terrifying demon beasts with powerful bloodlines. Each one possessed the strength to contend with demon beasts of similar cultivation levels.
What made them truly fearsome, however, was their tendency to form colonies numbering in the thousands, if not tens of thousands.
Activating his Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique, Su Yi released a powerful aura.
Sensing the overwhelming pressure, the ants on the trees trembled, crouching low and remaining motionless.
Su Yi hurried past them, unwilling to waste any time. He was determined to find Su Xiaoshuai. The aura of his Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique was the nemesis of demon beasts.
With his current cultivation, Su Yi was confident that demon beasts below the Demonic Void Realm wouldn’t dare challenge him under the suppression of his Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique.
Even so, he remained cautious. This vast forest was filled with potential dangers, and recent traces suggested the presence of many powerful monsters.
As Su Yi traversed the forest, he didn’t wander aimlessly. Through the soul connection he shared with Su Xiaoshuai, he could sense his presence within a certain range. This allowed Su Yi to estimate Su Xiaoshuai’s approximate direction.
For now, Su Yi’s cultivation wasn’t sufficient to pinpoint Su Xiaoshuai’s exact location. However, knowing that Su Xiaoshuai was safe and having a general sense of his whereabouts was enough for him.
Inside the forest, the ground was damp, and beneath the dry branches and decaying leaves, there was often mud and rotting wood. Clumps of vines and tangled plants made walking more difficult.
Su Yi hurried along, using the Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique to leap rapidly through the primitive forest. Although he couldn’t fly, his speed was incredible.
The deeper he went, the more demon beasts there were. Su Yi could even sense the presence of powerful demon beasts from the Demonic Void Realm, although he hadn’t seen them with his own eyes—he could only feel their traces.
Along the way, it seemed as though all the demon beasts were heading toward a common destination. Battles erupted among them, fierce and bloodthirsty, leaving many demon beast corpses strewn across the ground.
These corpses were treasures, and Su Yi, true to his nature, wouldn’t let them go to waste. The space within the mysterious storage artifact he carried was vast and could hold countless items. Unlike others, he didn’t have to worry about running out of space.
However, the sight of many dead demon beasts—and even human corpses—along the way made Su Yi grow increasingly concerned about Su Xiaoshuai. Without wasting any time, he hurriedly collected the remains of many valuable demon beasts as he moved forward.
“Something must have happened here. It seems to have attracted many people,” Su Yi muttered to himself, growing more cautious with every step he took deeper into the forest.
In this primitive forest, many unusual changes had occurred. Traces of both powerful demons and humans had begun to appear, confirming that something significant was taking place.
Su Yi suspected that they had discovered this place earlier than others. But he knew that the longer they stayed, the more likely it was that stronger beings would be drawn here.
He thought about Su Xiaoshuai’s abilities. Su Xiaoshuai had undoubtedly discovered treasures in this place, and everything Su Yi had encountered so far had only reinforced this belief. There were treasures here, almost certainly.
“Someone,” Su Yi suddenly stopped, sensing that he was being watched. Despite his haste, he never let his guard down.
“Thought it was a scary creature—turns out it’s just a person!”
Ahead of him, from several towering trees, six figures leaped down with a ‘swoosh.’
They were six young men, though not too young—likely in their late twenties or early thirties. The oldest among them, nearing thirty, exuded the strongest aura, with a cultivation level at the Fifth Grade of the Yuan True Realm.
The other five seemed to be at the Third Grade of the Yuan True Realm, but there was no doubt that they had all reached this realm of cultivation.
Su Yi glanced at the six individuals, raising an eyebrow slightly.
Each of them wore identical emblems on their shoulders, signifying that they all belonged to the same faction.
