Chapter 931: Burying the Treasure!
Day and night, Su Yi poured all his energy into training, only to exhaust himself and then recover through deep breathing before continuing.
As for Su Xiaoshuai, he couldn’t stay idle. In this vast mountain range, he was like a fish in water, an eagle in the sky, always on the move without a moment’s rest.
“Whoosh…”
Beams of sword light shot from Su Yi’s hand, moving as fast as lightning.
“Not enough.”
After a moment, Su Yi paused, his figure frozen as if a new realization had dawned upon him.
Then, his hand movements shifted, and the sword light in his hand surged forth. Waves of energy, like crashing tidal waves, swept through the void, accompanied by howling winds. Even the surrounding natural energy seemed to respond, swirling around him.
“Crackle, crackle…”
As Su Yi stood firm, beams of sword light carved cracks into the ground before him, releasing a fierce and unrelenting energy that spread outward like a violent hurricane.
Under the bright moonlight, Su Yi sat cross-legged, his sword planted in the ground nearby. A red glow surrounded the blade as strands of spiritual energy danced, flowing in and out of Su Yi’s body. The scene was steeped in an otherworldly, mysterious atmosphere.
For three whole days and nights in this secluded mountain, Su Yi repeated the same routine: practice until exhaustion, recover through deep breaths, and continue.
“Swoosh…”
At some point, ripples of energy began to emanate throughout the mountain. A rich concentration of natural energy gathered around Su Yi, drawn to him like a magnet.
The spiritual energy encircled his body before entering directly, and gradually, Su Yi’s aura began to rise. The progression was subtle at first, but it quickly reached a peak and then momentarily stalled.
“Splash…”
The surrounding energy intensified, coalescing around Su Yi in a shimmering red light.
“Swoosh, swoosh…”
Two figures silently appeared behind the mountain—it was the Green Emperor and the Yin-Yang Dark Emperor.
Sensing the disturbance, they hurried toward the source.
When their eyes fell upon Su Yi, bathed in radiant red light, they couldn’t hide their excitement.
“Boom…”
Suddenly, a thunderous sound reverberated within Su Yi’s Void God Sea. Simultaneously, his previously stagnant aura surged like a rocket, shattering an invisible barrier in one swift motion.
“Boom!”
The surrounding energy roared like a fierce wind, forming a vortex of red light above Su Yi’s head that poured ceaselessly into his body.
“Roarrrr…”
In that moment, countless demon beasts in the surrounding mountains let out deafening roars. The entire range seemed to tremble as the beasts instinctively bowed toward Su Yi’s location.
“Such a powerful aura!”
The Yin-Yang Dark Emperor shuddered inwardly. Su Yi’s aura was clearly still at the Yuan True Realm, yet it exuded an overwhelming, terrifying pressure.
“You’ll understand our master’s strength in time,” the Green Emperor said with a knowing glance at the Yin-Yang Dark Emperor. The Green Emperor was unperturbed—he knew that Su Yi’s power was beyond what the Yin-Yang Dark Emperor could presently comprehend.
As dawn broke, Su Yi’s breakthrough aura began to fade. The energy around him dissipated, and the mountains returned to a calm silence.
Su Yi’s closed eyes fluttered briefly before opening. A lingering red light glimmered in his gaze, and an aura of domination and destruction radiated from his body, causing his robes to ripple in the gentle breeze.
“It happened naturally. Another layer has been surpassed,” Su Yi said with a faint smile. He could feel the tangible progress in both his body and soul, as if everything had perfectly aligned. His strength had undoubtedly advanced.
“Congratulations on your breakthrough, Master,” the Green Emperor and Yin-Yang Dark Emperor said as they approached, their satisfaction evident.
“It’s just a small breakthrough,” Su Yi replied, standing and placing his sword into his space bag. While pleased with his progress, he remained grounded, knowing there was still a long journey ahead.
“The Feng family’s domain has been dealt with,” the Yin-Yang Dark Emperor reported. “Their people have been driven away; they likely won’t dare to return anytime soon.”
“Hmm,” Su Yi acknowledged with a nod.
“However, our actions to drive away the Feng family have drawn the attention of some nearby human forces. They might think we’re targeting them, so there could be trouble,” Yin-yang Dark Emperor said.
“Let’s avoid unnecessary conflicts and have all the demon beasts return,” Su Yi responded after a moment’s thought. There were many formidable powers in the area. Although Yin-yang Dark Emperor had advanced in strength, the Green Emperor was present, and his older brother Xi Wuqing was a significant force. Since Su Yi had only recently arrived in the Chaos Realm, there was no need to stir up unnecessary trouble.
“Understood,” Yin-yang Dark Emperor replied with a nod before departing.
“Where are Su Xiaoshuai and the Wolf-headed Demon Bat?” Su Yi asked the Green Emperor. He had been in the mountains for five or six days without seeing Su Xiaoshuai or the Wolf-headed Demon Bat, and he was concerned Su Xiaoshuai might have gotten into trouble.
“They haven’t returned,” the Green Emperor replied.
Hearing this, Su Yi frowned in worry. He wasn’t particularly concerned about the Wolf-headed Demon Bat, but Su Xiaoshuai was a known troublemaker.
“Should I go look for them?” the Green Emperor offered, noticing Su Yi’s anxious expression.
“Yes, please do,” Su Yi agreed. Although Su Xiaoshuai needed to learn to handle situations independently, the Chaos Realm was dangerous, and Su Yi couldn’t risk him getting into serious trouble.
“I’ll head out now,” the Green Emperor said before swiftly departing.
Su Yi watched the Green Emperor’s figure disappear into the distance. While he wasn’t overly worried because of their soul connection—he would sense it if Su Xiaoshuai faced a major problem—he still felt uneasy.
Less than an hour later, the Wolf-headed Demon Bat returned hurriedly.
“Did Su Xiaoshuai get into trouble?” was Su Yi’s immediate question, his concern surfacing.
The Wolf-headed Demon Bat shook its head and quickly explained. It wasn’t Su Xiaoshuai causing trouble; instead, Su Xiaoshuai had discovered what seemed to be a location containing a significant treasure. However, the area was already under the watchful eyes of many powerful demons and humans. Realizing he couldn’t manage the situation alone, Su Xiaoshuai stayed behind to monitor the area while the Wolf-headed Demon Bat rushed back to report.
“How far is it from here?” Su Yi asked.
“It took me a day and a night to return,” the Wolf-headed Demon Bat replied, looking fatigued. It seemed helpless, as Su Xiaoshuai was determined to roam everywhere, and it couldn’t stop him. Without realizing it, they had ventured far from their usual range. Now exhausted, the Wolf-headed Demon Bat had pushed itself to make it back quickly.
“This is a problem,” Su Yi muttered with a frown. He wasn’t concerned about someone else claiming the treasure, but the presence of many powerful individuals meant Su Xiaoshuai could be in grave danger.
The timing couldn’t be worse. The Green Emperor and Yin-yang Dark Emperor had just left, and Huang Jian, the Golden Gryphon, and others were still inside the mysterious space. The other strong Demonic Void Realm beings were still out on various tasks.
“Let’s go!” Su Yi decided immediately.
He set out with the Dark Golden Demon Falcon, instructing the Wolf-headed Demon Bat to rest and recover its strength. Simultaneously, he hoped the Green Emperor or Yin-yang Dark Emperor would return soon so they could reach Su Xiaoshuai as quickly as possible.
