Chapter 902: Break the Seal and Prohibition!
“You do have a handsome appearance. Let me take you downstairs to rest,” the woman said softly after a brief pause, then carried Su Yi away.
A moment later, she placed him on a quiet bed in a small room and left, closing the door behind her.
As Su Yi heard the soft click of the door closing, his tense heartstrings eased slightly. At least he didn’t have to worry about immediate harm from the woman.
Lying on the bed, Su Yi shifted his gaze thoughtfully. The most urgent task now was to break the seal and prohibition placed within his body. He needed to regain his strength to resist and, if possible, escape.
He silently prayed that his elder brother, Xi Wuqing, would successfully break through soon and come to his aid. Otherwise, his situation was dire. His broken sword was still with Feng Yue, and without Xi Wuqing’s personal intervention, escaping seemed almost impossible.
From the conversations and expressions of the people around him, Su Yi easily discerned that whatever they planned for him wasn’t going to end well. It could even be more terrifying than death itself.
With no sound around him and the woman apparently far away, Su Yi decided to focus on using the Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique to break the seal and prohibition within his body.
He had used this technique before and knew its effects well. Fortunately, the seal placed by Feng Yue didn’t seem particularly strong, suggesting that Feng Yue didn’t regard him as a significant threat. While the seal wasn’t too difficult to break, it would still take time.
Concentrating, Su Yi activated the Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique, channeling its energy to slowly attack the seal within his body.
The process was painstakingly slow. While the seal wasn’t overly powerful, Feng Yue was still a formidable Yuan Void Realm expert, slightly weaker than Huang Jian. Breaking the seal required considerable effort and patience.
Luckily, since the woman had left, she hadn’t returned, and no one else had entered the room. This gave Su Yi the opportunity to focus entirely on breaking the seal.
Through the window, the fading light of the sky allowed Su Yi to estimate the time.
He remained absorbed in his task, unaware of how much time had passed. By the time he noticed, dusk had already fallen, and the night began to shroud the world in darkness.
The room grew completely dark, with only faint moonlight streaming through the window. Inside Su Yi’s body, a subtle red glow flickered as his energy fluctuated.
“Almost there, almost there,” Su Yi murmured to himself.
The seal was loosening. Cracks had formed, and several acupoints had already been reopened, leaving only a few small areas still sealed.
Hope surged within him. He estimated it would take another hour or two to completely break free.
However, the closer he got to success, the more cautious Su Yi became. He couldn’t afford any mistakes now. Breaking the seal was his only chance of escaping his current predicament.
Time ticked by—half an hour, then an hour.
Su Yi continuously channeled the Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique, attacking the remaining seals with relentless determination. If he could completely break them, even without his broken sword, he could still escape and regroup later.
“Just a little bit more,” he muttered.
After nearly two hours of relentless effort, Su Yi saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Only a tiny portion of the seal remained unbroken.
But just as hope filled his heart, he suddenly sensed something.
“Uh-oh, someone’s coming,” he whispered to himself, his body tensing in alarm.
At that moment, many of the seals and restrictions within Su Yi’s body shattered, and the power of his soul was no longer obstructed. He sensed someone approaching and immediately grew cautious. The Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique intensified, accelerating its operation to break the final seal within his body.
“Click…”
A faint, cracking sound echoed from deep within him. An invisible aura surged outward, accompanied by a flash of red light. The energy exuded majesty and destructive power. The seals within Su Yi’s body were completely broken.
“Creak…”
Simultaneously, the door made a soft creaking sound as it was pushed open.
Moonlight spilled into the room, casting a silvery glow. In the dim light, a graceful figure appeared, her silhouette casting a slender and mysterious shadow across the floor.
Su Yi lay motionless on the bed, restraining his breath and suppressing his energy, unwilling to make any sudden moves.
The figure entered the room, closing the door behind her. The space darkened once more, leaving only the faint moonlight filtering in, lending the scene an air of tranquility.
She moved closer to the bed, and under the soft moonlight, her familiar face came into view. Her delicate features and sparkling eyes gleamed like a pristine pool, exuding an air of elegance and subtle charm. Su Yi recognized her instantly—she was the woman who had bathed him earlier that day.
“What is she doing here in the middle of the night? Does she intend to harm me?”
Su Yi’s heart tightened with unease. He couldn’t fathom why she had entered his room so quietly. Was she here to harm him?
Conflicted, Su Yi’s thoughts spiraled. If she means to harm me, should I resist? Resisting might alert the others in this hideout, making escape impossible. Yet, if he didn’t resist, the thought of being taken advantage of—especially as a virgin—made his blood boil. He couldn’t allow that to happen.
“I just wanted someone to talk to. You must be scared right now. If I were you, I’d be scared too.”
As Su Yi wrestled with his thoughts, her soft, clear voice reached his ears. The woman stood before him, her expression complicated, before gently seating herself beside him.
A faint fragrance filled the air, and the subtle feminine aura enveloped Su Yi. His eyes flickered momentarily, but he kept his aura entirely restrained.
The woman gazed at him, her tone a mixture of sorrow and sincerity. “Elder Feng Yue and the others captured you because they had no choice. The Demon Emperor is too powerful, and our entire clan is no match for him. That’s why we must obey him and offer people to him every year. If we don’t, he’ll destroy our whole clan. Please don’t blame Elder Feng Yue and the others for this.”
“The Demon Emperor? Offering people every year?”
Su Yi listened intently. It seemed his capture was somehow tied to the Demon Emperor. His curiosity was piqued. If they plan to hand me over to the Demon Emperor, what does being ‘white’ have to do with it? Does the Demon Emperor prefer fair-skinned people?
The woman’s voice softened, tinged with sadness. “You seem so young, and now you’re going to be handed over to the Demon Emperor. It’s such a pity. If your parents knew you were missing, they’d be so worried about you. Being cared for by loved ones… it’s a wonderful feeling.”
