Chapter 768: Who Are You Looking For?
As the blood-red sphere drifted past, it sent chills down one’s spine, making even the soul sense the scent of blood, leaving one deeply affected.
Su Yi’s eyes flickered as he observed the blood-red sphere, his gaze growing intense. However, he displayed no fear. With a swift motion of his palm, his inner energy surged as he unleashed the Crimson Flame Palm. It manifested like a blazing sea of fire, striking directly at the blood-red sphere.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Instantly, muffled explosions echoed, and an immense energy, accompanied by a chilling scent of blood, spread outward. It swept through the space, radiating brightly.
“Waa…”
The massive Brutal Demon Ghoul charged forward with its towering frame, its elongated fangs gleaming like ivory, emanating a bloody brilliance. It lunged straight at Su Yi.
“Vile creature!”
In the Demonic True Realm, a low-level demon beast was not renowned for its powerful demonic bloodline. Su Yi, however, remained undaunted. Having prepared himself, he wrapped his palm with spiritual energy. He boldly extended his hand and firmly grasped the ivory-like gleaming fangs. With a powerful swing, he forcefully smashed the creature away.
“Boom!”
“Snap!”
In that instant, the massive form of the Brutal Demon Ghoul was flipped over, crashing heavily onto the ground. Its sharp gleaming fangs snapped, producing a crisp sound.
“Oh no!”
The wretched Brutal Demon Ghoul continued howling in agony, blood flowing unceasingly from its mouth.
“Humph!”
Su Yi’s figure leaped forward, landing a foot squarely on the head of the Brutal Demon Ghoul. In the moments that followed, three punches landed rapidly one after another.
“Bam! Bam! Bam!”
With a muffled impact, the head of the Brutal Demon Ghoul split open, its skull shattered, blood flowing from its seven orifices. It was swiftly vanquished.
Su Yi wasted no time and extracted the fangs of the Brutal Demon Ghoul. They were precious treasures of significant value.
“Thank you very much.”
Xu Chen’s voice carried over as he stood up beside Su Yi, his gaze fixed on the brutally defeated Brutal Demon Ghoul. He showed no signs of surprise or astonishment.
“You’re welcome.”
Su Yi had already noticed that Xu Chen had ceased his breathing exercises. He must have been alerted by the commotion moments ago. Su Yi observed that within this brief period, Xu Chen appeared completely unaffected, as if nothing had transpired.
“We should proceed now.”
Xu Chen adjusted his clothes, wearing a smile, and looking at Su Yi, he said, “If you don’t mind, would you like to journey together? Don’t worry, though I desire the Star Cloud Ganoderma, I won’t attack you.”
Su Yi narrowed his eyes and studied this person, who didn’t seem like someone who would launch a surprise attack.
After a moment, Su Yi composed himself and the two of them departed together, moving forward.
Between the mountains and forests, two figures darted through, both hurrying along the path, not daring to waste any more time.
“Roarrrr…”
In the darkness within the Sanctified Martial Secret Realm, more and more demon beasts emerged, as if the closer they got to the center, the more powerful these demon beasts became.
Along the way, various dangerous tactics lay within the Sanctified Martial Secret Realm, causing Su Yi and Xu Chen to maintain extreme caution.
However, with their combined strength, though Su Yi and Xu Chen constantly encountered danger, they managed to overcome each challenge.
“Let’s discuss it. The Star Cloud Ganoderma will be exclusively sold to me, and you won’t suffer any loss!”
“We won’t sell it!”
“Then how about this? I’ll first give you twenty-thousand three-star Yuan Stones. Afterward, when I return, I’ll give you another twenty-thousand three-star Yuan Stones. How does double the price sound?”
“Not for sale!”
“Why are you being this way? What do you require?”
“Not for sale!”
“You…”
“…”
Throughout their journey, Xu Chen persistently bothered Su Yi, wanting the Star Cloud Ganoderma. However, regardless of the offer, Su Yi only provided a two-word response: not for sale.
Xu Chen felt helpless. This fellow was truly unique. Anyone else would have probably sold it long ago.
Su Yi was equally helpless. Had it been his own Star Cloud Ganoderma, he would have certainly sold it by now. Unfortunately, this Star Cloud Ganoderma belonged to Xi Wuqing.
Nevertheless, throughout their journey, the two traveled together, faced dangers together, and grew quite familiar with each other.
Su Yi had become well-acquainted with Xu Chen and didn’t hold back in his interactions with him.
Time passed steadily, as the shimmering moon descended from the sky.
In the midst of the forest, Su Yi and Xu Chen encountered numerous people regardless of the hour.
“We must be near the center now, and the dangers will intensify as well. We must exercise caution,” said Xu Chen.
Su Yi’s soul power quietly extended, and he could already detect numerous figures. Everyone maintained a safe distance from each other, with no intention of approaching. However, they could sense that the overall cultivation strength was considerable, and they were not far from the center of the Sanctified Martial Secret Realm.
“It appears someone is watching you secretly. Could it be your enemy?”
Xu Chen addressed Su Yi, his gaze shifting to the side.
Following Xu Chen’s line of sight, Su Yi noticed a group of figures in the distance. Someone’s gaze constantly observed them from the shadows, focusing on himself and Xu Chen.
“It seems we’re not dealing with just this group. We’ve encountered them several times along the way, haven’t we?”
Xu Chen glanced around, noting that they had crossed paths multiple times during their journey, with someone secretly observing them.
This wasn’t particularly surprising, but these observing gazes were unusual. They carried an element of evasion, capturing Xu Chen’s attention.
Su Yi had also noticed that they had encountered many people during their journey, but some possessed very strange gazes. Their looks were evasive, yet clearly filled with anticipation and apprehension, as if they were continuously searching for him.
Studying these people, Su Yi recognized none of them. They didn’t appear to be disciples from the Five Sects and Three Schools, nor were they disciples of Sacred Mountain.
“Are they seeking you?” Su Yi raised an eyebrow and questioned Xu Chen.
“You’ll know if you ask.”
With a smile, Xu Chen vanished from his position as the words fell. Leaving behind a faint afterimage, he moved swiftly. When he reappeared, he had reached the side of those few individuals, causing their gazes to tremble and darken, inexplicably filled with fear.
“Who are you all searching for?” Xu Chen addressed the group, his handsome face adorned with a friendly smile, his voice captivating yet charming.
“No, we aren’t searching for anyone.”
Upon hearing Xu Chen speak, the few individuals, who possessed decent cultivation and remarkable talent, couldn’t suppress their unease. Though typically quite capable, something about Xu Chen made them inexplicably nervous, causing their faces to pale slightly.
“If no one is being sought, why do you appear guilty? Speak truthfully, are you looking for me or Yi Su?” Xu Chen observed the group and calmly inquired. In his serene and clear eyes, there existed an indescribable aura of authority that sent shivers down the spines of those few individuals.
“No, we truly aren’t searching for anyone.”
Several figures shook their heads, but their gazes involuntarily darted toward Su Yi in the distance.
Noting this, Xu Chen’s expression remained unchanged, but his tone grew slightly more severe as he pressed, “Speak up, don’t force me to intervene, or you will regret it.”
“Hmph, don’t be so unreasonable, we aren’t completely defenseless either!”
Finally, they managed to compose themselves and focused their attention solely on Xu Chen. There were several of them, so surely they couldn’t be defeated if they united their forces, could they?
