Chapter 686: The Gold Light Unicorn!
“Let’s just use the space teleportation gate,” Su Yi suggested, thinking that the teleportation gate might function similarly to the Battlefield of Ten Thousand Swords. If they could reach the Central Region quickly, it would save them a significant amount of time.
“Do you think it’s that simple? Even if it’s nearby, it still costs a Yuan Stone, which is equivalent to a low-level yellow-grade pill. To reach the Central Region, it’s not close at all. We would need ten yellow-grade pills along with this bird to make it,” Xi Wuqing mocked Su Yi.
“What… that’s so expensive…” Su Yi gasped, shocked at the price of ten yellow-grade pills. It would be like cutting into his own flesh, especially since he didn’t have many yellow-grade pills or Yuan Stones on hand.
“Even the bird needs a Yuan Stone to be ridden…” Su Yi rolled his eyes, astounded that even a bird required a Yuan Stone.
“I’m not a bird!” Su Xiaoshuai shot a glare at Su Yi, feeling somewhat offended.
“You, a powerful Yuan Emperor Realm expert, don’t have anything of value?”
Su Yi, being a formidable Soul Tamer in the Yuan Emperor Realm, was curious about Xi Wuqing. How could someone as powerful as him have no possessions of value?
“Uh…”
Xi Wuqing seemed somewhat embarrassed. Although he was a Soul Tamer and a strong figure in the Yuan Emperor Realm, as a wandering cultivator, he didn’t really possess anything of worth.
“Ah…”
Seeing the look on Xi Wuqing’s face, Su Yi quickly understood. It seemed that, just as the rumors had said, Xi Wuqing was poor, just like most wandering cultivators.
As for the Green Emperor, Su Yi didn’t bother asking. He had already thoroughly searched the Green Emperor before and found nothing. Compared to Xi Wuqing, the Green Emperor was even poorer.
“So, what do we do now? We still have a few cities to pass through, and if we rely on walking, it will take us a long time,” Su Yi frowned.
“Master, I can take you to the Central Region city,” the Green Emperor volunteered. As a mount, it was his duty.
“You stand out too much. It’s not ideal.”
Su Yi shook his head. With his cultivation strength and the presence of a demonic emperor realm mount, he knew it would attract attention. If they were targeted later, it wouldn’t be good.
Even though he had the Green Emperor and Xi Wuqing by his side, Su Yi remained cautious.
Compared to the major forces participating in the Saint Martial Assembly, Xi Wuqing and the Green Emperor’s strength wasn’t enough for reckless actions.
As for the Wolf-headed Demon Bat and Dark Golden Demon Falcon in the mysterious space, they too would attract attention. Su Yi dared not summon them, as people from the Divine Sword School would immediately recognize them.
“What should we do?” Xi Wuqing asked, looking at Su Yi. If it was just him, it wouldn’t be a problem, but bringing Su Yi along made things more complicated.
“I have an idea, hehe.”
Suddenly, Su Yi grinned, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous light.
After a short while, in a secluded and sparsely populated area, Su Yi amazed both the Green Emperor and Xi Wuqing with his transformation technique. He altered his appearance into that of a simple-looking young man.
Appearing about twenty years old, Su Yi tucked away his heavy sword into a space bag and donned a yellow robe he had bought from a small town a few days ago. He neatly tied his black hair, completely changing his appearance.
However, the transformation only altered his facial features and aura. His height and body shape remained unchanged, but that was enough for Su Yi.
“Let’s go,” Su Yi said, making sure his appearance was in order. Then they set off.
Soon, they reached a remote mountain range where few people had passed by. Su Yi, Xi Wuqing, and the Green Emperor appeared.
“What are we doing here?” Xi Wuqing asked, puzzled about Su Yi’s plans.
“You’ll see soon enough,” Su Yi chuckled.
Not long after, Xi Wuqing realized Su Yi’s plan. A group of people, who had been traveling without knowing where they were heading, arrived. They were riding a powerful flying demon beast, which was at the ninth level of the Yuan Spirit Realm. This prompted the Green Emperor to intervene and seize one of the beasts.
Among the group of individuals at the entrance were strong figures from the Yuan Void Realm and some young disciples. However, they were no match for the Green Emperor.
Following Su Yi’s instructions, the Green Emperor didn’t harm anyone, but instead forcibly took control of one of the demon beasts as a mount, scaring them before leaving.
“What just happened?”
The disciples at the entrance were stunned. Suddenly, a powerful figure appeared, took a demon beast mount, and left without a word.
“This is so cruel!”
The young disciples were filled with righteous anger.
“Be thankful. That powerful person only took our mount.” The stronger individual from the Yuan Void Realm was shaken but seemed somewhat content.
“Is this the best you can come up with?” Xi Wuqing asked Su Yi, his expression helpless, as he sat on the back of the flying demon beast.
“A true hero doesn’t sweat the small stuff. You can always return it later,” Su Yi smiled awkwardly, unable to think of another way.
Having a flying demon beast certainly made things much more convenient.
They still had a long way to go to the Central Region city, but the scene around them grew busier. More and more demon beast mounts soared through the sky, heading toward the Central Region city.
Many of these demon beast mounts were unlike any Su Yi had seen before, and they were truly impressive.
“So many people,” Su Xiaoshuai poked his little head out from Su Yi’s arms, curiously observing everything, filled with wonder at the sights.
“There are so many people, and they seem very strong,” Su Yi murmured. Even before reaching the Central Region city, he could already see various forces and some remarkable young individuals, showcasing the power of the Saint Martial Assembly.
“Don’t be so amazed. You haven’t seen much of the world. What’s so surprising?”
Xi Wuqing looked down at the scene with a proud look in his eyes. He spoke to Su Yi, “These are just small, insignificant factions. The real big sects won’t arrive so soon. When they do, they’ll either use a spatial portal to directly enter Central Region city or make a grand entrance.”
“I see,” Su Yi raised an eyebrow, realizing how little he knew about this world.
“But don’t underestimate these small sects. Some of them have long histories and were once quite influential in Central Region,” Xi Wuqing added.
Suddenly, a terrifying roar echoed from the empty space ahead. Moments later, a powerful surge of energy swept through the air, making many demon beasts and their riders tremble and almost lose control.
Su Yi’s own demon beast quivered as well, feeling the immense pressure from the front.
Looking ahead, a massive demon beast appeared before them. It was enormous, with a single horn, glowing with golden light. It stood several meters tall, with eyes like lanterns, radiating an overwhelming aura.
“Gold Light Unicorn!”
Su Yi gasped in amazement. This was an extraordinary sight—an incredible demonic beast. The aura it emitted even reached the Demonic Void Realm level.
“Make way!”
A booming shout rang out, clearing the path for the Gold Light Unicorn, pushing away people and demon beasts alike, ensuring nothing stood in its way.
