Chapter 661: Demon Clan’s Aura!
Su Yi looked at Su Xiaoshuai, who appeared pitiful, and his anger inexplicably faded away. He could only glare at him and say,
“Alright, next time, don’t touch anything in here, whether it’s medicinal herbs or anything else. Got it?”
“I understand.”
Su Xiaoshuai lowered his head, his large, innocent eyes looking up.
“Come with me, but don’t wander off. Stay close to me.”
Su Yi thought for a moment. He couldn’t keep Su Xiaoshuai locked in the mysterious space forever, and he was also worried that the remaining medicinal herbs and spiritual plants would be ruined by him.
“Really? Thanks, boss!”
Upon hearing this, Su Xiaoshuai flapped his wings excitedly, instantly shedding his pitiful look and replacing it with joy.
Seeing this, Su Yi couldn’t help but think that Su Xiaoshuai’s previous act was entirely fake.
A while later, Su Yi brought Su Xiaoshuai out from the mysterious space.
Looking around, Su Xiaoshuai flapped his wings and leapt, excited and cheering.
“Don’t run off.”
Su Yi had to be cautious, as this creature could very well be a baby phoenix, and he couldn’t afford any mishaps.
Su Xiaoshuai, far too excited, ignored Su Yi’s warning.
“Howl.”
Riding a Wolfbat, Su Yi could only chase after Su Xiaoshuai from behind.
“If you keep running, I’ll lock you back up in there.”
Finally, Su Yi used his last resort, making Su Xiaoshuai obediently settle on his shoulder.
However, Su Xiaoshuai’s curious eyes scanned the surroundings, filled with wonder.
“Swoosh…”
The still air was disrupted by the sound of wind. A figure swiftly moved, leaving behind a space mark, causing the airflow to shift and a long trail to appear in the sky.
“Xi Wuqing, this time you won’t escape, so just accept your fate!”
The voice sounded from the void, dark and menacing.
“Swoosh…”
Another figure quickly followed behind.
Both figures moved at lightning speed and vanished into the sky.
“What do you eat when you’re hungry?”
In the calm sky, a Wolf-headed Demon Bat flew by, with Su Yi seated cross-legged on its back. Su Xiaoshuai peeked from Su Yi’s shoulder and asked.
“I can eat spiritual medicines, spiritual fruits, and meat.”
Su Xiaoshuai said seriously, feeling a little hungry, his tongue flickering as if he were drooling.
“Spiritual medicines, spiritual fruits…”
Su Yi shot Su Xiaoshuai a disdainful look. This guy is so hard to take care of. Last time, he nearly ruined half of my medicinal field in one go. With that appetite, who could afford to feed him?
“Meat, that can be arranged. I’ll find some for you later.”
Su Yi’s gaze shifted. It seemed like it had been a while since he had eaten meat, and now he was starting to crave it.
The phoenix is a powerful creature among demons, feeding on the flesh and blood of demon beasts, but regular demon beast meat is of no use to it.
Ling Qianxue’s soft voice echoed in Su Yi’s ears, gentle and alluring, with an almost charming tone.
“Feeding on demon flesh…”
Su Yi was astonished, staring at Su Xiaoshuai. Who could afford to feed him spiritual medicines and demon beast flesh?
“Big brother, I’m hungry.”
At the mention of food, Su Xiaoshuai immediately felt hunger, his eyes pleading at Su Yi.
“I’m hungry too, but we have to wait.”
Su Yi scolded Su Xiaoshuai, annoyed that he was already hungry again after such a short time.
“Su Yi, I’m hungry. Don’t you have a lot of spiritual medicines left?”
Su Xiaoshuai’s pleading eyes turned to Su Yi.
“Don’t even think about it. We can’t waste any more of those spiritual medicines.”
Su Yi quickly refused. He had spent a long time gathering those spiritual herbs, and they had finally improved inside the mysterious space. But now, half of them were wasted by Su Xiaoshuai, and Su Yi wouldn’t allow him to ruin the rest.
“Can you give me the Blood Spiritual Ginseng now, as promised?”
Su Xiaoshuai shifted his gaze and asked Su Yi.
Su Yi rolled his eyes and replied, “No, not right now.”
He shook his head, explaining that the Blood Spiritual Ginseng was still recovering, and all the spiritual whiskers on it had been given to the Su family. He had nothing left for himself.
“Su Yi, are you lying to me?”
Su Xiaoshuai stared at Su Yi, feeling deceived.
“In the future, I will give it to you. You’ve already eaten so many of my spiritual medicines, and I haven’t asked for anything in return!”
Su Yi’s gaze became somewhat embarrassed, as he had indeed made that promise.
“Alright,” Su Xiaoshuai replied reluctantly. Mentioning the spiritual medicines made him feel down, like a defeated rooster.
“Hmm, it seems like there’s a magical creature nearby.”
Suddenly, Su Xiaoshuai’s eyes widened, looking around excitedly, sensing something.
“Magical creatures…”
Upon hearing this, Su Yi’s eyes widened as well. Magical creatures weren’t ordinary demon beasts.
“Wolfbat, hide.”
Without delay, Su Yi ordered the Wolf-headed Demon Bat to land in the jungle and conceal itself among the towering trees. Its spiritual energy was released quietly as it cautiously searched the surroundings.
But strangely, apart from a few ordinary demon beasts nearby, Su Yi couldn’t sense anything unusual.
“Su Xiaoshuai, did you really sense the presence of a magical creature?”
Doubt crept into Su Yi’s mind as he asked Su Xiaoshuai.
“It was right ahead.”
Su Xiaoshuai nodded seriously, confident in their sense. He raised an eyebrow and continued,
“But now it seems to have disappeared. How strange.”
Being a baby phoenix, the little creature was capable of sensing things that most others couldn’t.
Ling Qianxue remarked inside Su Yi.
“Have you sensed the presence of any monsters?”
Su Yi asked Ling Qianxue.
“I said it was up ahead, but now it’s gone.”
Su Xiaoshuai thought Su Yi was asking it and gave Su Yi a glare.
“I wasn’t asking you.”
Su Yi glanced at Su Xiaoshuai, smiling helplessly.
“Then who were you asking?”
Su Xiaoshuai stared at Su Yi, as if searching for something. Suddenly, a glint appeared in its eyes, and it exclaimed in surprise,
“You have the presence of a monster on you, how strange.”
“I’ll explain later.”
Su Yi was shocked. This little creature, being a baby phoenix, was truly something else.
“I didn’t sense anything either, but if the little one did, then someone from the monster clan must be ahead.”
Ling Qianxue looked at Su Yi, surprised and in disbelief that Su Xiaoshuai could actually sense her presence.
“Could you please move aside?”
Without hesitation, Su Yi decided to change course and distance himself from Ling Qianxue. It would be safer that way.
“Now that we’ve met, you want to leave? Don’t you think it’s a bit late for that?”
A dark voice echoed, and a figure appeared quietly, around ten yards away from Su Yi.
