Chapter 584: The Cocoon of Light
“I heard that at the Grand Swordsmanship Competition of the Divine Sword School, a young boy named Su Yi suddenly emerged and claimed first place. He’s quite young…” Li Ling spoke, casting a glance at the girl in the red robe. She had just come across this news by chance after leaving seclusion. She still remembered the special young boy from Man City and the invisible connection he shared with her martial sister.
“Su Yi…” The words lingered in the air.
The girl in the red robe, with her exquisite and radiant face, was instantly moved.
“It seems you still remember that young boy,” Li Ling remarked, her expression calm.
“Of course I remember,” the girl in the red robe replied, attempting to sound indifferent, though her heart was stirred with emotions she could hardly contain. She looked at Li Ling and asked, “Senior Sister, are you sure it’s Su Yi?”
“I’m not certain,” Li Ling replied with a slight shake of her head, her lips curling into a small smile. “Well, it’s quite a miracle that Su Yi, the one from the Divine Sword School, hasn’t died. Something must have happened to him that led him to become the champion of the Grand Swordsmanship Competition. At the very least, this brings him a step closer to our relationship, my junior sister.”
“I have no relationship with him,” the girl in the red robe said, pursing her lips in disdain. “He’s just a despicable person.”
“So it goes,” Li Ling mused. “Perhaps it’s someone with the same name and surname,” she added softly. “After all, that Su Yi is already dead, and there aren’t many miracles in the world, are there?”
“Sister, could you please help me keep an eye on this? See if that Su Yi is really the despicable person from Man City?” The girl in the red robe looked at Li Ling, her beautiful eyes shimmering with anticipation.
“It doesn’t really matter, and besides, my junior sister doesn’t care,” Li Ling teased with a playful smile.
“If he is really still alive, it would be a miracle. That wicked person… I must personally kill him.” The girl in the red robe clenched her teeth, feigning anger, though her eyes were filled with radiance. Her bright eyes and shining teeth, combined with her delicate figure and long, slender legs, made for an arresting and captivating sight.
Night fell.
At the Divine Sword School, on the Thirty-Sixth Sword Peak, in the back mountain.
In the valley, Situ Muyang, Xu Jiahui, Zhang Qing, Liu Ji, Wang Fan, and more than ten others stood together.
In the distant graveyard, a solitary tomb stood, marked by a blank gravestone. A small table nearby held a few cups of rice wine.
“Boss Su Yi, once we have the chance, we’ll definitely help you seek revenge!” Situ Muyang, Zhang Qing, Wang Fan, Liu Ji, and the others all had tears in their eyes.
“Big Brother Su Yi…” Xu Jiahui’s voice trembled as tears filled her beautiful eyes.
“There are people who wish to protect Yun Lingfeng. My strength is not enough, and I cannot seek revenge for you, but Boss Su Yi, I will definitely find a way. I will avenge you,” Situ Muyang spoke with a deep and determined gaze.
In a mysterious space, an aura of darkness prevailed, yet a faint glow from an unknown source permeated the atmosphere, preventing the space from descending into total blackness.
Unseen by anyone, at that very moment, Su Yi lay unconscious on a cracked stone platform, the ancient stone now devoid of any radiance.
Blood gushed from his body, leaving him in a horrifying state. Especially above his chest, a three-finger-wide sword wound had pierced through his back. The mangled flesh revealed his eerie white bones, an incredibly fearsome sight.
At this moment, Su Yi had completely lost consciousness. His body showed no sign of vitality; he appeared as though he had truly perished.
Completely devoid of awareness, as if truly dead, Su Yi’s Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique showed no signs of life. His body was covered in bloodstains, the wounds slowly beginning to dry, but there was no sign of healing.
His chest was pierced, and his heart was already shattered.
At that moment, even if experts had been present, they would have shaken their heads. With the heart pierced and such severe injuries, healing was beyond even the reach of medicine, and the chance of a miracle seemed almost nonexistent.
In the dim space, complete silence prevailed. Time seemed to lose all meaning.
One day, two days, or perhaps even a year or ten years—it made no difference in that still, silent space.
Unseen by all, within Su Yi’s mind, the mysterious space was bathed in a faint glow. The glow illuminated his thoughts and caused the Heavenly Yuan Demonic Soul to ripple with a crimson radiance, keeping his spirit vibrant and undying.
Su Yi had no awareness of how much time had passed, but on his shattered heart, a gentle light began to quietly envelop it, like a shimmering glow.
Immediately, from within Su Yi’s body, his bones, muscles, and meridians began to emit a peculiar radiance that spread from the inside out. The radiance started dim but grew increasingly dazzling as time passed. Along with it, a strange aura filled the air, reverberating throughout this mysterious space.
Covered in gory wounds and bloody injuries, Su Yi’s body was gradually beginning to heal. This recovery, however, did not stem from the Indestructible Vajra Body. Moreover, the speed of recovery appeared slower than that of the Indestructible Vajra Body. Yet, as Su Yi’s physical body healed, a mysterious aura accompanied the process, as if something deep within him was awakening from a long slumber.
In the end, the radiance emanating from within Su Yi became increasingly brilliant, enveloping his entire body. It cast a radiant glow throughout the mysterious space, resembling a cocoon of light.

At the Divine Sword School, Sky Sword Peak—
“Thinking about it, I really let that kid down!” Situ Liuyun stood in his study, hands clasped behind his back. His expression exuded dignity and regret, tinged with self-reproach.
“Sect Leader, you don’t need to blame yourself. This has nothing to do with you,” said the Right Dharma Protector. His face was heavy with remorse as he murmured, “Heaven is jealous of talent. Perhaps that kid’s exceptional natural gifts made him a target of the heavens’ jealousy. It was his fate, destined to never achieve greatness.”
“This isn’t just jealousy from the heavens,” Situ Liuyun retorted, clenching his fists behind his back. His gaze burned with emotion as he said, “It’s Yun Lingfeng. He intentionally took action to destroy the future of our Divine Sword School!”
“If I had insisted on allowing only Su Yi to enter the Divine Sword Valley, none of this would have happened. The supreme treasures left behind by our ancestor would have fallen into Su Yi’s hands. But now…” Situ Liuyun’s voice faltered momentarily before he continued, “The old ancestor’s belongings have fallen into Yun Lingfeng’s hands. Su Yi has already passed away, and many elders in the sect have shifted their attention toward Yun Lingfeng.”
The Right Dharma Protector sighed deeply. He understood Situ Liuyun’s intentions and his preference for Su Yi. “But now, everything has changed. Yun Lingfeng killed Su Yi and escaped severe punishment. The old ancestor’s treasures, which represented the future of the Divine Sword School, are now in Yun Lingfeng’s hands. Many elders within the school hold them in high regard.”
After a moment of silence, Situ Liuyun asked, “Has Elder Su emerged from seclusion?”
“Not yet,” replied the Right Dharma Protector. “I’ve arranged for a disciple to keep watch. The moment Elder Su comes out, I’ll report it immediately.” His expression turned solemn. After a brief hesitation, he continued, “Su Yi was not truly considered Elder Su’s direct disciple, as he never formally became one. Perhaps Elder Su might not…”
He trailed off, hesitating to complete his thought.
“Hopefully…” Situ Liuyun sighed, his expression pensive. After a moment of silence, he said, “Take great care in arranging the disciples. Ensure that Elder Su doesn’t find out, especially concerning Muyang and Xu Jiahui. Pay close attention to Zhang Qing and the others.”
The Right Dharma Protector nodded, understanding Situ Liuyun’s concerns. “Understood.”
“In addition,” Situ Liuyun added, “let’s find a Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill as quickly as possible. It’s the least we can do to honor that young man’s memory.”
