Chapter 566: The Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill!
Situ Liuyun appeared increasingly perplexed. He began to wonder if this individual intended to exchange all his points for a specific treasure.
“83,000 points?”
Su Yi muttered to himself, contemplating. He then looked at Situ Liuyun and asked, “Does the sect have any Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pills available?”
“What do you need the Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill for?” Situ Liuyun asked, his brows furrowing slightly. The Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill was renowned for being difficult to craft, a potent and life-saving pill with extraordinary effects.
It was believed that this pill could heal someone even on the brink of death, and its price was much higher than most pills of the same grade.
“My grandfather has suffered severe injuries from a formidable foe,” Su Yi replied. “I’m hoping to acquire a Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill to save him.”
Su Yi’s eyes narrowed with determination. While the Blood Spiritual Ginseng was successful in helping with the initial healing, Su Yi couldn’t afford any risk. His grandfather’s injuries were grave, and he couldn’t let anything go wrong. If the Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill was available, it would increase his chances of saving him.
Su Yi was well aware of the pill’s reputation. It was a powerful, yellow-grade initial-level healing pill. Su Yi could only imagine how valuable it must be.
With that in mind, he resolved to exchange everything for points in order to get the Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill.
“To be honest, how badly is your grandfather injured?” Situ Liuyun inquired, his curiosity piqued. “And what level of cultivation does the person who harmed him possess?”
Su Yi nodded gravely. “My grandfather is unlikely to survive another year. The person who hurt him is at least at the later stage of the Yuan Void Realm and may even be in the Yuan Emperor Realm.”
Su Yi’s hands clenched into fists. The thought of his grandfather in such danger made him both furious and anxious. He had to do everything in his power to heal him.
“I see,” Situ Liuyun murmured.
Su Yi added, “I’m willing to trade everything I have for points if necessary. If I have to, I’ll offer spiritual medicines or anything else that could help.”
Situ Liuyun raised his brows, intrigued by Su Yi’s resolve. “The Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill is a rare and difficult item to craft,” he said. “But it isn’t something you can simply obtain.”
“If you don’t have it, I’m prepared to give whatever I can in exchange—whether it’s pills, spiritual herbs, or anything else,” Su Yi insisted.
Situ Liuyun sighed before responding. “We had one Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill a few days ago, but it’s no longer available for exchange.”
Su Yi felt his heart drop. “How could that be?”
“It was exchanged by Elder Bai for Yun Lingfeng’s treatment,” Situ Liuyun explained. “Yun Lingfeng was severely injured and needed it urgently.”
Su Yi’s eyes widened. He hadn’t realized the Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill had already been taken. He could have never imagined that Yun Lingfeng, the very person he had defeated, would be the one to get the last available pill.
“But don’t lose hope,” Situ Liuyun continued. “It’s true we don’t have one readily available now. But, we can craft one, given time and the right resources.”
Su Yi’s spirits lifted slightly. “How many points would I need to make that possible?”
Situ Liuyun responded, “To make the Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill, it would cost at least 11,000 points. You still fall short by 27,000 points.”
Su Yi didn’t hesitate. “I’ll find a way to gather more. I have more pills and herbs to offer.”
Situ Liuyun raised a hand to stop him. “It’s not just about the points. Making a Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill requires rare ingredients. And convincing an alchemist is not easy. They’re often difficult to deal with.”
Su Yi’s expression darkened. Even if he could obtain the ingredients, convincing the alchemists would be a major hurdle.
“The sect has alchemists, but not of the caliber required to make a pill of this grade,” Situ Liuyun said. “It’s not something we can just ask for casually.”
Su Yi sighed. “So, there’s no way to make it happen?”
Situ Liuyun considered this for a moment. “There may be a solution. We had an exceptional alchemist in the past who trained a disciple now participating in the Battlefield of Ten Thousand Swords. If you can get that disciple’s attention, I’m certain they could make the pill.”
“Do you think that disciple would help me?”
Situ Liuyun nodded. “The disciple would be willing to help, especially if you offer them the benefits you gained from winning the Grand Swordsmanship Competition.”
Su Yi’s expression hardened. He had his doubts about exchanging his own hard-earned benefits, but the prospect of saving his grandfather outweighed any concerns.
“Are you willing to do this?” Situ Liuyun asked, observing Su Yi closely.
Without hesitation, Su Yi replied, “I’ll do whatever it takes.”
Situ Liuyun gave him a long look, as if seeing something in Su Yi he hadn’t noticed before. “You’re a young man with a lot of determination. I respect that.”
Situ Liuyun then reached into his robe and retrieved a small box. “Take this.”
Su Yi took the box cautiously, unsure of what to expect. When he opened it, a brilliant light burst forth, accompanied by an intense fragrance and a pulse of energy so powerful it nearly overwhelmed him.
Inside the box was a thumb-sized pill glowing with a green hue, radiating with an energy so potent that Su Yi could barely look at it directly. The sound of a dragon’s roar seemed to echo faintly from the pill.
“Wait… this is…”
Su Yi’s eyes widened in disbelief. “This is the Xuanyuan Soaring Dragon Pill, isn’t it?”
Situ Liuyun confirmed with a nod. “It is. It’s a personal possession of mine, not something the sect has. It’s yours now.”
“But I thought you said there were no more available?” Su Yi’s voice trembled in awe.
“I said the sect doesn’t have any left,” Situ Liuyun replied with a wry smile. “But this one was always mine. You don’t need to trade anything for it.”
Su Yi, overwhelmed with gratitude, was speechless. He had come here expecting to face numerous obstacles, but Situ Liuyun had just handed him the very thing he needed most.
“However, you still owe the sect for your points and Dark Spirit Fruits,” Situ Liuyun added. “I expect you to deliver those to Sword-hiding Peak and repay me over time.”
“Thank you, Sect Leader!” Su Yi said, bowing deeply. He placed the pill carefully into his pocket, already preparing to leave.
“Go on now,” Situ Liuyun said. “And remember, if you wish to receive the supreme benefits, you must perform well in the Saint Martial Assembly.”
Su Yi turned, his heart still racing. His future seemed uncertain, but for the first time in a long while, he felt a flicker of hope. As he walked away, Situ Liuyun watched him, a faint smile playing on his lips.
