Chapter 388: Killing Sword Technique!
As Jian Shiyi’s words echoed in the air, he turned and began to walk away.
“Captain…”
The disciples of the Court of Justice gathered in close proximity, their faces a mix of emotions.
“I had already stated that if I lost, I would leave the Court of Justice. Whether you decide to capture him or not is entirely up to you,” Jian Shiyi addressed the disciples from the Court of Justice.
He was on the verge of turning away when he suddenly glanced back at Su Yi, his expression thoughtful. “Can you tell me what swordsmanship you just used?”
“I’m not sure either. But if I must name it, it could be called the ‘Killing Sword Technique’,” Su Yi answered.
“Killing Sword Technique…” Jian Shiyi murmured under his breath.
“To me, swords are not mere ornaments. A true sword is a weapon meant for one purpose: to harm the enemy, to pierce through their defenses. Regardless of how intricate or graceful the technique may seem, the goal remains the same: to strike the opponent down. Any unnecessary movements should be avoided. What matters is drawing the sword and delivering the blow. Thus, it’s called the ‘Killing Sword Technique,'” Su Yi explained calmly.
“Draw the sword, thrust it into…”
Jian Shiyi whispered to himself, as though a realization dawned upon him.
“What exactly is the Killing Sword Technique?” disciples murmured amongst themselves, exchanging thoughts. It was a term they had never encountered before, one that seemed logical yet difficult to fully grasp.
“Thank you very much.”
Jian Shiyi nodded toward Su Yi and, to everyone’s astonishment, even bowed before taking to the skies, his qi forming the shape of a beast beneath his feet.
“Captain!”
The disciples of the Court of Justice stood in shock, watching as Jian Shiyi ascended.
The remaining disciples turned their attention to Su Yi, their expressions clouded with various emotions—fear, admiration, anger, and suspicion.
“Do you plan on using force?”
Su Yi surveyed the group, a flicker of determination lighting up his gaze.
“Su Yi, our responsibility in the Court of Justice is to apprehend you. Will you surrender and come quietly, or do you believe you can defeat us with your skills?”
Among them, a young disciple, his teeth clenched, fixed his gaze on Su Yi.
Behind him, dozens of Court of Justice disciples stood, each one at the Yuan Spirit Realm, including several in the Second Grade of the Yuan Spirit Realm. The young man himself was in the Third Grade of the Yuan Spirit Realm. With such numbers, he was confident they could handle Su Yi.
“Surrender now, or you’ll regret it!”
Upon hearing the young disciple’s words, the other disciples began to feel emboldened.
There were dozens of them, and they felt certain that Su Yi, no matter how strong, couldn’t overcome such numbers.
However, despite their newfound confidence, a subtle unease lingered in their gazes towards Su Yi.
Su Yi looked over the group. Each disciple was at least in the Yuan Spirit Realm, making them formidable opponents.
Yet, Su Yi remained unfazed. With the Hundred Transformations Step and the knowledge that the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle hovered nearby, he was confident he could escape at any moment.
What concerned Su Yi was that, even if he managed to flee, the Court of Justice disciples might pursue him relentlessly, causing more trouble.
“Su Yi, surrender now, and know that you can’t escape today!”
With a roar, the young disciple’s energy surged, and he unsheathed his prized sword.
“Buzz!”
“Boom…”
Without warning, dozens of disciples from the Court of Justice sprang into action, unleashing their power. Their figures shot forward as their swords were drawn, their auras flaring and filling the air with a clashing sound.
Several disciples lunged toward Su Yi, their long swords glinting with lethal intent, each strike aimed directly at him.
The combined breath of tens of Yuan Spirit Realm cultivators created a tremendous pressure that shook the square. Sand and stones flew into the air, and the atmosphere vibrated with intensity, sending ripples through the hearts of everyone present.
“Is this the moment for the great battle?”
One disciple turned pale, recognizing the escalating tension. The Court of Justice was clearly not letting Su Yi go without a fight.
“This could get out of hand!”
Xu Jiahui, Zhang Qing, and others had just started to relax when the threat was suddenly realized.
They had thought that after defeating Jian Shiyi, the issue would be settled, especially with the Grand Swordsmanship Competition looming tomorrow. But they had underestimated the Court of Justice’s resolve.
“Should we intervene?”
A steward, watching the scene unfold, asked nervously.
“Intervene? How can we? The disciples of the Court of Justice are no pushovers. And they won’t listen to us,” a middle-aged steward replied, his face twisted with a bitter smile.
“It seems like they’re determined, so I’ll stand with you. Anyone who tries to stop me will face the consequences!” Su Yi’s temper flared. These disciples of the Court of Justice were persistent to a fault.
“Rumble…”
The sound of thunder shook the air as a new energy erupted from Su Yi’s body.
At this moment, Su Yi’s cultivation, now fully unleashed at the Third Grade of the Yuan Spirit Realm, radiated a powerful, intimidating aura. A crimson light swirled around him, accompanied by an overwhelming presence that seemed to challenge everything around him.
Such an aura was enough to make anyone’s heart race, a pressure that felt as if it could crush all before it.
“Roarrrr…”
“Guji…”
Nearby, the demon beasts trembled in fear, howling in terror. Those in the sky shook uncontrollably, unable to bear the oppressive energy.
“He’s only in the Third Grade of Yuan Spirit Realm!”
When Su Yi unleashed his full strength, some of the onlookers gasped in disbelief.
The Third Grade Yuan Spirit Realm cultivator had defeated Jian Shiyi, who was in the Fourth Grade. What did that mean?
“How is he so powerful?”
The disciples from the Court of Justice, now fully awake to the danger, felt their legs shake. The overwhelming aura forced them to kneel in submission.
“Who dares to stand in my way!”
Su Yi’s voice was low but carried a threat that vibrated through the square. His intent was clear: he was ready to fight, to break free from the Court of Justice’s pursuit.
Dozens of disciples of the Court of Justice exchanged uncertain glances, their hands trembling on their sword hilts.
After witnessing Jian Shiyi’s defeat, none dared to make the first move. The aura surrounding Su Yi was far too intense.
“How dare you!”
Suddenly, a voice rang out like a thunderclap, shaking everyone to their core.
A figure appeared out of thin air, landing between Su Yi and the surrounding disciples.
The newcomer appeared to be under fifty years of age, with dark eyes that gleamed like obsidian. Beneath his calm demeanor, sharp, sword-like glances were barely contained, as if poised to strike at any moment.
