Chapter 374: Do I Need to Reason With You?!
“Guu…”
Several flying demon beasts appeared, their fierce eyes gleaming with predatory intensity. Their ferocious auras filled the air, and their unwavering gazes locked onto the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle, Su Yi, and Zhang Qing.
The sharp eyes of the dozen disciples from the Court of Justice soon fixed on Su Yi as well.
“It’s him,” a young man dressed in yellow said from atop one of the flying demon beasts behind Jian Shiyi. His gaze remained fixed on Su Yi, who was seated on the back of the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle. Though they had never fought directly, the sight of Su Yi still stirred an instinctive unease within him.
Su Yi and Zhang Qing immediately recognized this young man. He was the leader of the Court of Justice disciples they had encountered earlier that day outside the Sword Hall—someone Su Yi had intimidated into retreating. Now, however, he had returned with Jian Shiyi.
Jian Shiyi’s expression was cold and inscrutable as he glanced at Su Yi. His eyes revealed no visible emotion.
“Come with us!”
A disciple whose cultivation was comparable to Huang Changyu’s spoke, his voice icy and commanding as his cold gaze pierced Su Yi.
“Why should I go with you?” Su Yi replied calmly, meeting the disciple’s glare without flinching.
“Acting out in the Sword Hall and seizing the mount of a Court of Justice disciple—those two offenses alone are enough to warrant punishment,” the disciple snapped, his stern expression hardening further.
Su Yi remained unperturbed. “I didn’t start the fight in the Sword Hall. Shouldn’t the instigator be held accountable? As for this mount, which eye of yours saw me steal it? It followed me willingly, so it has nothing to do with me. If you’re so capable, call it back yourself.”
The stern disciple’s expression darkened as his tone turned colder. “Your sharp tongue won’t help you. I don’t care who started the fight. You struck someone, and you must face the consequences. As for the mount, it’s clearly in your possession. Don’t expect me to believe the Court of Justice gave it to you willingly.”
Su Yi sneered, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he surveyed the disciples in front of him. “So, you have no intention of reasoning with me?”
The stern disciple’s voice dripped with disdain. “Do I need to reason with you? If you want to reason, plead your case before the Court of Justice. Surrender yourself, and don’t mistake this for generosity.”
A flicker of amusement danced in Su Yi’s eyes. “Heh… no intention of reasoning with me, huh?”
A crimson light flashed in his gaze, and his expression turned icy. A cold smile curved his lips as he said, “In that case, I have no need to reason with you either.”
The disciples of the Court of Justice exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions shifting subtly. Su Yi’s arrogance was indeed as infamous as the rumors suggested.
The stern disciple’s face turned grim, tinged with an iron-blue hue. He stared at Su Yi and spat, “Kid, you’re courting—”
“Get out of here!” Su Yi suddenly roared, cutting off the disciple mid-sentence.
“Boom!”
A terrifying aura erupted from Su Yi, radiating an immense and destructive energy. Crimson light swirled around him as his black hair whipped wildly in the wind. His expression was calm yet commanding, exuding an overwhelming sense of authority.
“Roarrr!” “Guu…”
The oppressive force swept over the area, causing the flying demon beasts to tremble violently. Their fierce gazes turned to fear as their bodies quaked and twisted mid-air.
“What’s happening?!”
The disciples of the Court of Justice were thrown into chaos as they struggled to control their mounts.
“Not good!” someone shouted, desperately attempting to steady their beast. But it was futile—the mounts seemed to have lost all sense, flailing wildly as they began to plummet.
One by one, disciples tumbled off their flying beasts.
“Roarrr!”
In their panic, some disciples managed to unleash their qi, which erupted from their feet in chaotic bursts, forming phantom beasts to cushion their fall.
Others, however, were less fortunate. Caught off guard, they screamed as they plummeted helplessly toward the ground.
“Bam! Bam! Bam!”
“Ahhh…”
The chaotic scene descended into utter disarray, leaving Su Yi standing tall, unshaken and unyielding.
A loud banging noise echoed through the air, followed by piercing screams. The once-arrogant disciples of the Court of Justice were now thrown into chaos, their composure shattered as they scrambled in disarray.
Su Yi had unleashed the aura of the Supreme Chaotic Yuan Technique, using its oppressive energy to intimidate the flying mounts.
The demon beasts, though formidable in their own right and from the Demonic Spirit Realm, could not withstand the overwhelming force emanating from Su Yi. However, the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle, though initially afraid, remained calm under the protective shield of Su Yi’s Qi.
After crashing to the ground, the other mounts quivered uncontrollably, their bodies trembling as they cowered, too terrified to move.
“Boom! Boom!”
“Roarrrr!”
Amid the chaos, surging waves of Qi erupted from the disciples of the Court of Justice. In the void above, their Qi condensed into animal-shaped illusions, shimmering with turbulent energy.
Several disciples quickly regained their footing, their eyes now locked onto Su Yi with a mix of shock and icy resolve.
The sight of Su Yi’s commanding aura—strong enough to force their flying mounts into submission—left the disciples utterly stunned. Even Zhang Qing, standing beside Su Yi, was momentarily shocked despite being familiar with his astonishing abilities.
Under Jian Shiyi’s feet, a dark, shimmering energy burst forth, coalescing into the shadowy form of a black eagle. Its menacing light filled the air, rippling outward as Jian Shiyi’s sharp eyes bore into Su Yi. His cold expression barely shifted as he said, “You do have some skill. It seems you’re worth my effort after all.”
Su Yi met Jian Shiyi’s gaze, his eyes momentarily flashing with a crimson light. The challenge sparked his fighting spirit. As one of the top young talents of the Divine Sword School, Jian Shiyi was an opponent Su Yi could not underestimate.
However, the red light in Su Yi’s eyes vanished as quickly as it appeared. He stepped lightly on the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle and said calmly, “Let’s go.”
“Ji…”
The Fierce Wind Golden Eagle let out a sharp cry, flapped its wings, and swiftly turned in another direction, speeding away.
“Think you can leave? Dream on!”
Jian Shiyi’s voice was cold, his tone laced with disdain. His expression remained impassive as the black eagle shadow beneath him spread its wings and shot forward in pursuit of Su Yi.
“Roarrr…”
The other disciples of the Court of Justice followed closely behind. Spiritual energy radiated from their bodies, forming multiple illusionary animal shapes that soared through the sky as they gave chase.
“What should we do? They’re catching up!”
Zhang Qing’s voice trembled with fear as he clung tightly to the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle, too afraid to look back.
Su Yi’s response was unbothered. “Let them catch up,” he said lightly.
The disciples of the Court of Justice were merely creating illusionary shadows of flying demon beasts using their spiritual essence. These forms lacked true speed and power. In contrast, Su Yi’s Fierce Wind Golden Eagle, already at the Demonic Spirit Realm, flew at an incredible pace, making it unlikely they could be overtaken.
