Chapter 368: The Disciple of the Court of Justice
“Boom!”
In an instant, Su Yi’s figure blurred like a ghostly illusion, red light bursting from his body as his hair whipped backward in the surge of energy.
“Peng, peng, peng, peng…”
A series of low, muffled bangs echoed as blood sprayed into the air. One by one, figures were sent flying, coughing blood as they hit the ground.
How could the inner disciples of the Fifteenth Sword Peak stand against Su Yi? Even though they combined their forces into a powerful and complex attack, their strength was still no match.
Since the beginning of his cultivation journey, Su Yi had honed his skills through relentless battles in the Forest of Demons and the Demon Woods. He had tempered himself in blood and fire, gaining combat experience far beyond his years.
The inner disciples of the Divine Sword School were talented, but their experience and strength paled in comparison to Su Yi’s battle-hardened edge. Even in cultivation, they lagged behind him, making it impossible for them to compete.
“Poof…”
Figures tumbled backward, blood splattering as cries of misery and anguish echoed through the square.
“Ding-dang…”
Swords clattered to the ground, radiating bursts of light as energy exploded around the battlefield.
“Roarrrr…”
Three young men at the First Grade of the Yuan Spirit Realm channeled beast-shaped Qi beneath their feet. The energy manifested as the phantoms of a tiger and a leopard, their forms so vivid they seemed alive.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Su Yi’s fists shattered the beast-shaped phantoms effortlessly. Capitalizing on the momentum, he leaped into the air and delivered a lightning-fast palm strike, dispelling the soaring demon beast’s phantom as well. The young man controlling it was sent crashing heavily to the ground.
In mere moments, every disciple from the Fifteenth Sword Peak lay sprawled on the ground, writhing in pain and fear.
Su Yi walked among them, searching each for their space bags with a calm, practiced efficiency. He collected the spoils without hesitation, stashing them into his own space bag.
Huo Dongqiu, despite his best efforts, managed only to struggle to his feet. His injuries rendered him powerless to intervene.
In the end, even Huo Dongqiu’s space bag was claimed by Su Yi.
The space bag of a direct disciple was undoubtedly more valuable than those of the inner disciples. Su Yi had no intention of letting such a treasure slip through his fingers.
Huo Dongqiu’s anguished cries filled the air as Su Yi located the bag on his chest and took it. The swords scattered across the ground were similarly swept into Su Yi’s space bag, collected openly in front of everyone.
The crowd could only watch in shock and disbelief.
Is this really an outer disciple?
He had defeated Huo Dongqiu, a direct disciple, with a single move—and now he was looting like a bandit or a robber.
“Reckless! This is the Sword Hall! You are too arrogant!”
A stern voice rang out as a massive flying demon beast perched in mid-air, its wings spread wide. Several imposing young men stood atop its back, their expressions a mix of astonishment and anger as they finally regained their composure.
At the forefront stood a young man in a yellow robe. His tall, distinguished figure and graceful demeanor radiated authority. He gazed down at Su Yi, his sharp eyes flashing dangerously.
“The Court of Justice!”
Zhang Qing, standing nearby, exclaimed in alarm. He turned to Su Yi and said, “I didn’t expect the disciples of the Court of Justice to show up!”
Even direct disciples were wary of provoking members of the Court of Justice. Violating the rules and falling into their hands was no trivial matter.
Su Yi raised his head, his gaze fixed on the enormous flying demon beast—a Fierce Wind Golden Eagle of the Demonic Spirit Realm. Its bloodline was far from ordinary.
“The Court of Justice… Second Grade of the Yuan Spirit Realm.”
Su Yi’s eyes swept over the youths riding on the back of the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle. Each radiated a formidable aura, their strength marking them as First Grade Yuan Spirit Realm cultivators.
Looking at the young man in the yellow shirt, Su Yi gauged that his strength was on par with Huo Dongqiu’s, likely also in the Second Grade of the Yuan Spirit Realm.
“Did you need me for something?” Su Yi asked calmly, facing the group of youths.
“I don’t care which sword peak you’re from. Starting a fight inside the Sword Hall is already a punishable offense. Yet, not only did you fight, but you also acted so arrogantly—seizing the belongings of your fellow disciples. Your actions are a serious crime!” Huang Changyu declared, his expression stern and authoritative.
Despite his commanding tone, Huang Changyu’s heart trembled. This so-called outer disciple was far too formidable. Huo Dongqiu’s defeat was still fresh in his mind, and he doubted he could fare any better.
If not for his position as a disciple of the Court of Justice, Huang Changyu would have preferred to avoid provoking this young man altogether. But his identity as a member of the Court of Justice—and the captain of a small team—compelled him to act.
Still, he wasn’t entirely worried. Within the Divine Sword School, the Court of Justice held an untouchable authority. Anyone who dared defy its pursuit faced severe punishment.
Su Yi, however, remained unfazed.
“You were here the entire time. When others acted, you turned a blind eye. But the moment I fought back, you suddenly appeared. Is this deliberate targeting?” Su Yi stared at Huang Changyu, his voice calm but cold.
He had already noticed the group watching from afar. The Court of Justice disciples were figures most Divine Sword School disciples wouldn’t dare to provoke.
But Su Yi wasn’t like the others. He had already caused enough trouble within the school to make further conflict with the Court of Justice inconsequential.
It was precisely this disregard that allowed him to unabashedly loot Huo Dongqiu and the others of their space bags and swords moments earlier. Having already taken so much, he figured a little more wouldn’t make a difference.
Huang Changyu’s expression remained impassive, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of unease.
In truth, he had delayed his intervention intentionally. Huo Dongqiu was difficult to deal with, and Huang Changyu had hoped the situation would resolve itself. But he hadn’t expected the outcome to be so disastrous.
“It doesn’t matter who you are. Fighting in the Sword Hall is forbidden. Come with us to the Court of Justice immediately, or face the consequences!” Huang Changyu’s voice hardened. Having stepped forward, he had no choice but to see this through. Failing to bring Su Yi in would tarnish the Court of Justice’s reputation.
“Get down from there!”
Before Huang Changyu could say more, Su Yi’s voice boomed across the square, carrying a destructive, majestic aura. His blood-red eyes locked onto the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle, radiating an oppressive force.
“Screech!”
The Fierce Wind Golden Eagle let out a terrified cry, its massive body trembling violently. Fear gleamed in its sharp eyes as it plummeted from the sky.
Nearby, other flying demon beasts hovering above the square were also affected, their bodies shuddering as they fell one by one.
“Bang! Bang!”
Several youths tumbled off the Fierce Wind Golden Eagle. Though they managed to summon protective qi shields, they still landed awkwardly, stumbling onto the ground in disarray.
Some attempted to stabilize themselves by channeling beast-shaped Qi beneath their feet. However, their hurried efforts only highlighted their inexperience and desperation.
“Whether it’s the Fifteenth Sword Peak or the Court of Justice, I will not show mercy to anyone who dares provoke me,” Su Yi said coldly.
As he advanced, Huang Changyu and the other disciples of the Court of Justice involuntarily retreated, their confidence faltering.
Huo Dongqiu and his group had outnumbered Su Yi, yet they were utterly defeated. Witnessing that, the Court of Justice disciples lacked even the courage to make a move.
