Chapter 364: Where It Came From, There It Goes!
The astonished eyes of everyone were filled with curiosity as they carefully examined the young man with long black hair draped over his shoulders. Although his complexion wasn’t particularly fair, his features were strikingly three-dimensional.
“Quite handsome!”
Many female disciples whispered and giggled. The young man’s narrow, sword-like eyebrows accentuated his deep and bright eyes. Despite his seemingly slender frame, he stood tall and imposing. His bronze skin had a crystalline texture, and though he wore the simple outer disciple attire of the Divine Sword School, it couldn’t hide his unique aura.
“He’s not traditionally handsome, but he has a certain charm,” said one female disciple.
There was indeed something special about Su Yi. He exuded a blend of pride, mischief, and a faint wickedness that inexplicably drew people to him—especially the girls, who felt a strange sense of closeness toward him.
“Hmph, what’s the use of being handsome? Is he more handsome than Martial Brother Huo Dongqiu? I bet he’s about to get unlucky!”
Some young male disciples, overhearing the women’s admiration for Su Yi, felt uneasy and couldn’t help but interject.
“You’re Su Yi?”
As Su Yi’s words settled, the gazes of around twenty inner disciples from the Fifteenth Sword Peak all shifted toward him simultaneously. Their eyes were cold, indifferent, and filled with hostility, exuding a palpable chill without a single word spoken.
It was evident that they had already been to the Thirty-Sixth Sword Peak and witnessed the aftermath of Ba Yi and the others.
Initially, they hadn’t been particularly concerned about Ba Yi’s visit to the Thirty-Sixth Sword Peak. However, after receiving news of what had transpired, they had rushed over in a panic. What greeted them was a scene of utter humiliation: Ba Yi and his companions were stripped and displayed publicly, surrounded by a dense crowd of onlookers.
The sight had turned their faces pale with shock.
The disgrace wasn’t limited to Ba Yi and his group. It extended to the entire Fifteenth Sword Peak, tarnishing its reputation in the Divine Sword School.
Still, amidst the cold glares of the twenty-something disciples, a few had conflicted expressions. Some appeared hesitant, their hostility tempered by caution or even fear.
After all, they knew Ba Yi’s strength well. He had been on the verge of stepping into the Yuan Spirit Realm. With his trump cards and full power, Ba Yi could easily contend with an average Yuan Spirit Realm cultivator.
Yet, despite this, Ba Yi and his group had suffered a devastating defeat. Their humiliation wasn’t just the result of Su Yi’s strength but also his audacity.
Even so, the group of inner disciples couldn’t fully mask their unease as they confronted Su Yi.
“Captain, it looks like they’re about to make a move. What should we do?”
In the distant sky above the square, a massive flying mount hovered silently, its wings spanning over ten meters. Several young men with stern and majestic expressions sat atop it, observing the scene below with concern.
“That’s Huo Dongqiu. He won’t be easy to deal with. Let’s observe the situation first.”
A young man in a yellow robe stood tall on the back of the flying beast. His presence was remarkable, and he radiated an air of refinement. His elegant appearance, like that of polished jade, made him stand out among his peers. He spoke calmly, his tone measured as he continued to survey the square below.
“What do you want?”
Back on the ground, Su Yi remained calm, his voice steady as he addressed the young man who had spoken earlier.
“Good, it’s you. So, will you come with us voluntarily, or do we need to use force?”
The sturdy young man’s cold gaze bore into Su Yi as he spoke, his tone devoid of emotion.
“Is your brain not functioning properly? Why would I go with you?” Su Yi replied flatly, his demeanor showing no sign of concern.
Behind Su Yi, Zhang Qing was trembling uncontrollably, too paralyzed by fear to speak.
“Good. You’re truly arrogant!”
The sturdy young man seemed unsurprised by Su Yi’s response, but his expression darkened. A sarcastic smile played on his lips as he sneered, “I have to say, you’re the most arrogant person I’ve ever met. Well, since that’s how you want it, I have no choice but to take you by force!”
“Just with your cultivation strength of the First Grade of Yuan Spirit Realm, it’s probably not enough!”
Su Yi glanced at the sturdy young man, one of the three cultivators at the First Grade of Yuan Spirit Realm. His gaze swept over everyone from the Fifteenth Sword Peak as he continued, “Don’t provoke me. Go back, or your fate will be the same as Ba Yi, Wang Qin, and Teng Ming!”
The entire square fell into a stunned silence. Many eyes twitched involuntarily, followed by a collective intake of cold breaths.
This guy, standing before Huo Dongqiu and his group, dared to bring up the disgraceful defeats of Ba Yi and the others. He was intentionally reopening the wounds of the Fifteenth Sword Peak. His arrogance was shocking!
“Kid, you’re asking for death!”
The honest-looking young man’s expression darkened immediately. A cold light flickered in his eyes as his aura surged violently, making it clear he was ready to attack.
However, at that moment, Huo Dongqiu, who had been silent until now, raised his hand slightly, subtly blocking the sturdy young man’s advance. Without saying a word, Huo Dongqiu stepped forward.
Huo Dongqiu’s sharp eyes locked onto Su Yi, whose calm expression carried a faint hint of arrogance. Raising an eyebrow, Huo Dongqiu spoke, “I can see that you have some skill. With your level of ability, you shouldn’t be relegated to the status of an outer disciple, nor should you be underestimated. However, I’m not interested in those details. What matters is that you’ve made a mistake—one you’ll deeply regret. Crossing certain people comes with consequences, and for you, those consequences will be unforgettable.”
Huo Dongqiu’s tone was calm, but the coldness and sharpness behind his words sent chills down the spines of the disciples watching.
The onlookers trembled inwardly. They knew Huo Dongqiu wasn’t someone to let things slide.
The sturdy young man, who had been prepared to act, hesitated and stepped back upon seeing Huo Dongqiu intervene. Even so, his glare toward Su Yi became even more hostile, his expression twisted with malice.
“Are you a direct disciple?”
Amid the watchful gazes of the crowd, Su Yi addressed Huo Dongqiu, his demeanor as calm as ever.
“Huo Dongqiu,” the man replied, nodding. His tone was steady, but there was a faint trace of disdain in his eyes. Years of discipline had taught him to suppress such feelings from showing on his face, but the contempt lingered beneath the surface.
“Your name doesn’t matter,” Su Yi said nonchalantly. “What’s important is this: if you’ve got nothing better to do, go back where you came from. Don’t bother me, or I won’t be polite.”
Su Yi’s gaze shifted across the group from the Fifteenth Sword Peak. “First, the outer disciples came and couldn’t win. Then the inner disciples arrived, and they were too weak. Now, a direct disciple has stepped in. The Fifteenth Sword Peak really knows how to throw numbers at a problem. If the direct disciple fails, I wonder who they’ll send next.”
