Chapter 1250
by fanqienovelChapter 1250: Special Divine Elixir
“Master, the original source I left on Number One and Number Two has been blocked.”
“They even simulated my signal to send back messages, but I just managed to crack it recently,” Grape said, her voice tinged with guilt.
“It’s fine; by now, they’ve probably taken quite a few lashes,” Xu Fan said with a smile, relaxing in the hot spring.
Xu Fan knew Number One and Number Two’s nature all too well; he wouldn’t have sent them out without precautions.
“Anything interesting happening in the sect lately?” Xu Fan asked, picking up the wine beside him and drinking it in one go.
“Wang Xuanxin had an adventure in the Tianhu Immortal Realm and found a Primal Spiritual Treasure that lets her travel freely between nearby Immortal Realms,” Grape said, a hint of amusement in her voice.
“A Primal Spiritual Treasure that allows free travel between Immortal Realms? That’s quite a find. Though it might not be much use to her, selling it could fetch a decent amount of Xuanhuang aura,” Xu Fan chuckled.
“Following Shadows can now control quasi-saint level puppets. He’s the first disciple in the sect with quasi-saint fighting strength,” Grape added.
“Controlling quasi-saint level puppets at the Golden Immortal Realm? That’s impressive. Once he reaches the Great Luo Stage, maybe we should think about getting him a Great Saint level puppet,” Xu Fan mused.
“In the Dragon Realm, a quasi-saint level Ancestral Dragon was whipped to death by disciple Xiao Luofan over many years,” Grape continued.
“Whipped to death? That’s brutal,” Xu Fan remarked, though he didn’t seem particularly bothered.
After all, killing a dragon wasn’t exactly a big deal.
As Xu Fan listened to the latest sect gossip, the system runic sphere in his spirit began spinning wildly.
Noticing the sudden activity, Xu Fan immediately entered his spirit space.
“What’s going on? Why’s it acting up like this?” Xu Fan muttered, watching the system runic sphere spin out of control.
Just as the sphere reached its peak speed, it suddenly began to expand.
The system runic sphere, which had recently shrunk, ballooned back to the size of a star.
“Is this a patch or a full system upgrade?” Xu Fan said, eyeing the chain of runes on the sphere with mild frustration.
At that moment, a burst of information flashed into Xu Fan’s mind.
The message indicated that the system runic sphere had been updated to its final version. Once cracked, he’d gain full control of the system.
“So it’s an update. Guess I’ll have to dive into it for a while,” Xu Fan sighed.
He’d been enjoying a nice balance of rest and cracking the system runic sphere, but this update added several new rune systems, meaning he’d need to invest a lot more time.
“Grape, inject 5,000 zhang of Primordial Purple Qi crystal into it,” Xu Fan said, feeling generous.
The Yuan Lord had given him a massive 20,000 zhang of Primordial Purple Qi crystal, so Xu Fan didn’t mind using some of it.
As the crystals were injected, the system runic sphere slowed down slightly but showed no other reaction.
“Seriously? You used to love this stuff. Why aren’t you reacting to all that I just gave you?” Xu Fan complained, staring at the sphere.
“Well, I’ve got plenty of time. I’ll just take it slow,” Xu Fan said, shifting his consciousness back to his main body.
Just as Xu Fan was planning to take it easy and work on cracking the system, he got a message from Senior Huangshan.
“A chaotic saint-level god or demon is heading towards the Three Thousand Realms, so steer clear of the Chaotic Mist Area for now,” Huangshan warned.
“Senior Huangshan, who’s going to stop that chaotic saint-level god or demon when it gets here?” Xu Fan asked, curious.
“The Yuan Lord will handle it; I’m not sure of the details,” Huangshan replied.
Xu Fan felt a pang of disappointment after reading Huangshan’s message; he had been hoping to catch a glimpse of the battle between a Great Saint and a chaotic saint-level god or demon.
Suddenly, the entire Three Thousand Realms shook.
Xu Fan sensed the Heavenly Way’s Will of the Wood Origin Immortal Realm crying out in distress.
He then noticed that the source power of the Wood Origin Immortal Realm was being slowly drained away.
But the whole ordeal didn’t last long before everything settled back to normal.
“Is it over already?” Xu Fan muttered, unsure.
Not long after, Xu Fan saw Huangshan approaching.
“The Yuan Lord wants you to brew a holy elixir; here’s the recipe and the materials,” Huangshan said, handing over a space ring.
Without wasting any time, Xu Fan pulled out the jade plate with the recipe from the space ring.
As he studied it, his brow furrowed. The recipe was nothing like the alchemy methods used in the Three Thousand Realms.
In fact, it reminded him more of the potion-making techniques he’d read about in wizard novels.
Seeing Xu Fan’s frown, Huangshan quickly asked, “Can you make this holy elixir?”
“Yes, but I’ll need an extra set of materials for testing,” Xu Fan replied.
“This recipe isn’t from the Three Thousand Realms, so everything has to be prepared from scratch,” Xu Fan explained.
“Alright, I’ll get you more materials soon,” Huangshan said.
“The Yuan Lord wants this done as quickly as possible; it’s probably tied to that chaotic saint-level god or demon,” Huangshan added.
“Got it. I’ll have it ready within half a month,” Xu Fan nodded.
In the underground space, inside a massive palace crammed with all sorts of strange devices, Xu Fan moved around with various materials.
“Purify, mix, dilute with wide road law ratios, and throw in a bunch of odd ingredients.”
“Brewing this is just as time-consuming as alchemy,” Xu Fan remarked, looking at the results of his two weeks of work.
A single glowing drop of potion sat in a special crystal container.
“One drop of this could poison ten Great Saints,” Xu Fan said, eyeing the drop in the crystal bottle.
The holy elixir Xu Fan had brewed for the Yuan Lord seemed more like a deadly poison.
“Grape, take this to Huangshan,” Xu Fan said, placing the crystal bottle on the table.
“Understood.”
A flash of holy light enveloped the crystal bottle, and it vanished.
Soon after, a space ring was teleported back.
“1,000 feet of Primordial Purple Qi crystal—not bad,” Xu Fan said, handing the space ring to Grape.
Though Xu Fan was curious about what the Yuan Lord planned to do with it, he figured he’d never get a straight answer, so he decided not to dwell on it.
“Master, I’ve detected that a sect-specific celestial tool is being cracked,” Grape’s voice suddenly chimed in.
“Which Immortal Realm?” Xu Fan asked.
“The Liuguang Immortal Realm. The one cracking it is a Divine Craftsman. Should I let the celestial tool self-destruct?” Grape inquired.
“Since it’s a Divine Craftsman from the human race, let’s not do that. Just teleport the celestial tool over and disperse it,” Xu Fan said after a moment’s thought.
