Chapter 1242
by fanqienovelChapter 1242: Chaotic Saint-Level God or Demon
"Master, 120,000 celestial tools have now recognized their masters, with 4,000 completing their initial tasks," Grape reported.
"Hmm, keep an eye on things," Xu Fan replied.
Xu Fan sat on a small boat, fishing in the middle of an endless ocean.
"Any interesting ones among the kids who’ve recognized their masters?" he asked.
"There’s a little boy named Jing Yun. His family is the wealthiest in the Immortal Realm, with endless supplies of Immortal Jade and spirit stones," Grape explained.
"But the boy, Jin Yun, is incredibly wasteful. Yet, no matter how much he squanders, he always manages to double it back in some strange way."
A light curtain appeared in front of Xu Fan, displaying the boy’s unique traits.
"Interesting. What kind of tasks have you given him?" Xu Fan asked, curious.
"Tasks that involve giving away wealth to help build character. Jing Yun seems to enjoy them immensely, as if he’s found his calling," Grape said.
"Even without tasks, he often helps those in need, especially people burdened with bad luck and tough destinies."
"Keep a close watch on this Jing Yun," Xu Fan instructed.
"Understood, Master," Grape replied.
Just then, a streak of light flashed nearby. Soon after, Han Feiyu appeared beside Xu Fan.
"Greetings, Master Ancestor," Han Feiyu said, standing on the water’s surface and bowing respectfully.
"Get on the boat quickly; you’ll scare the fish," Xu Fan said, waving him over.
Han Feiyu hurried onto the boat and stood respectfully behind Xu Fan.
"What brings you here?" Xu Fan asked, still focused on his fishing.
"I’d like to travel the Three Thousand Realms with Junior Brother Wujie. I request your approval, Master Ancestor," Han Feiyu said.
"Traveling the Three Thousand Realms? Not a bad idea," Xu Fan replied.
"Before you go, though, leave some of your essence in the Holy Light Palace. It’ll save time if you need to revive later," he added lightly.
"Master Ancestor, are you saying I might run into trouble on this trip?" Han Feiyu asked, concerned.
"I’ve seen your records in the Yuanshi Sect. They already know you carry a valuable treasure," Xu Fan said casually.
"Think about it—how many top powerful families might also know about it?"
Han Feiyu was stunned for a moment but then nodded in understanding. In front of top-tier powerful beings, even his most hidden secrets might be as clear as day.
"Traveling the Three Thousand Realms isn’t impossible. If you die seventy or eighty times, you’ll probably see most of it," Xu Fan estimated.
"Master Ancestor, I think I’ll stay within the sect’s territory," Han Feiyu said with a wry smile.
"No need to be so cautious. You can explore over 100 Immortal Realms around the Wood Origin Immortal Realm," Xu Fan advised.
"Just don’t go any farther. Beyond that, the sect might not be able to help if something goes wrong."
“I understand, Master Ancestor,” Han Feiyu nodded.
Just then, Xu Fan’s fishing rod dipped. He had caught a dragon-tailed fish, about ten feet long.
“It’s almost dinner time. Stay and eat with me,” Xu Fan said.
The nearly ten-foot-long dragon-tailed fish was enveloped by the teleportation formation and disappeared. In less than a breath, a full fish feast appeared on the table.
As they ate, Xu Fan suddenly asked Han Feiyu, “What makes you happiest right now?”
“Improving my strength and climbing the sect’s fighting strength leaderboard. And helping out brothers and sisters in need,” Han Feiyu replied with a smile.
“Are there still disciples in the sect facing difficulties?” Xu Fan asked, puzzled. After all, the Hidden Spirit Sect’s disciples should all be well-off.
“There were a few before, but now only Senior Brother Qian Bing is left. He couldn’t repay a loan to the sect recently and borrowed some from me,” Han Feiyu said, clearly pleased to help.
“Ah, him. That’s not surprising,” Xu Fan nodded with a smile.
Xu Fan then asked about the sect’s daily affairs and cultivation matters.
After the meal, just as Xu Fan was about to get up, he received a message from Zhang Weiyun. “Husband, can you save Master? She’s almost out of time!”
Seeing this, Xu Fan immediately had Grape open a teleportation formation to take him there.
On Wanquing Island, in a secret realm, Xu Fan looked at the Wanqing Heavenly Lord lying on a jade bed.
“Master is gravely injured and unconscious. She woke briefly and told us to distribute the treasures of Wanquing Island,” the senior sister said, her voice filled with worry.
“We’ve tried everything, but Master won’t wake up,” the third senior sister added.
Xu Fan focused on the Wanqing Heavenly Lord and noticed a strange chaotic death energy swirling within her. It was incredibly powerful, almost as if it had a mind of its own, intent on slowly killing her.
Xu Fan felt a deep fear from the chaotic death energy, similar to what he’d felt when facing a chaotic saint-level god or demon.
“Your Master has some nerve, daring to provoke a chaotic saint,” Xu Fan said.
Hearing this, Zhang Weiyun and the other senior sisters’ expressions changed. They knew what a chaotic saint represented.
“Then Master…” the seventh senior sister said, tears in her eyes.
“In the Three Thousand Realms, even the Yuan Lord couldn’t save your Master. But you called me,” Xu Fan said with a slight smirk.
“Husband, you can save her!” Zhang Weiyun exclaimed.
“With chaotic saint-level death energy consuming her, her body and spirit are beyond healing. I can only extract some pure essence and spirit to let her reincarnate and cultivate again,” Xu Fan explained.
He had other methods, but they were too troublesome and resource-intensive. Reincarnation was the simpler option.
“It seems this is the only way. Thank you, Grand Elder Xu,” the disciples of the Wanqing Heavenly Lord said after some discussion.
“No trouble at all.”
Xu Fan listed a series of materials and began setting up the chaotic grand formation to extract the essence and spirit from the Wanqing Heavenly Lord.
At that moment, a figure appeared beside Xu Fan.
“Yuan Lord, how will you handle the Wanqing Heavenly Lord’s reincarnation in your Yuanshi Sect?” Xu Fan asked with a smile.
“No need for such trouble. Reincarnation doesn’t erase memories. In a few thousand years on Wanquing Island, she’ll regain her former strength. These are small matters,” the Yuan Lord said dismissively.
“The real issue is that Wanqing got herself into trouble. Two chaotic saint-level gods or demons are at odds, and she foolishly got involved.”
“If that chaotic god or demon decides to pursue this…” The Yuan Lord sighed.
“If they do, will the Three Thousand Realms face collapse?” Xu Fan asked skeptically.
“No. If it comes to that, only the strongest of the human race will step up.”
