Chapter 84: If You Lie, I Will Tear You to Pieces!
by Ink HubClang!
The returning Hell-Prisoner Calamity Sword was caught effortlessly by Lu Jin, beginning to circle his body like a winding dragon. He looked at the descending figures, his eyebrows arching slightly.
These people did not come with good intentions. Since they were looking for Wan Helai and possessed such terrifying cultivation, it was not difficult to guess their identities. At this thought, Lu Jin and Chu Tianxiong exchanged a glance: both had reached the same conclusion.
Chu Tianxiong was about to step forward, but Lu Jin beat him to it. “Who are you, people? I was in the middle of a life-and-death duel when you lot intervened to save her. Are you not going to give me an explanation?”
Lu Jin’s voice was exceptionally cold. He showed not a shred of fear despite the overwhelming strength of the newcomers.
Upon hearing this, the disciples of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect and the experts from other observing factions felt their faces pale. Given that lineup, never mind a minor Lu Jin, the entire Ten Thousand Swords Sect could likely be leveled by them with ease! Yet Lu Jin actually demanded an explanation!
He was truly bold beyond belief. Long Xiwei stared at him, momentarily lost for how to even react.
“Oh?”
Mo Tuojiang, the Head of the Mo Family, frowned and let out a cold snort. Before he could speak, a Mo Family powerhouse beside him stepped out. “Brat, you have quite the nerve! How dare you not kneel before the Head of the Mo Family!”
Buzz!
The man’s face was full of fawning flattery when facing Mo Tuojiang, but the moment he turned toward Lu Jin, it was instantly covered in frost. With a wave of his palm, a sharp aura whistled from his sleeve, pressing down on Lu Jin like a surging tide. In an instant, the void vibrated, revealing his cultivation to be at the peak of the Jindan Realm!
Everyone was stunned into a stupor, their mouths hanging open but unable to find words. This man was a mere follower, yet he possessed such power! Furthermore, the name “Mo Family” sent shivers down their spines. Aside from the high-and-mighty Mo Family of the Blood Moon Holy Land’s Four Great Families, what other Mo Family could command such a terrifying presence?
“Get lost!”
Facing the unreasonable suppression, Lu Jin simply frowned. The Hell-Prisoner Calamity Sword circling him instantly pierced through the incoming aura. Along with a thunderous roar, the spiritual fluctuation was torn apart into chaotic currents and vanished into nothingness.
“What?”
The hearts of many onlookers trembled. That man was at the peak of the Jindan Realm; even a casual surge of pressure should have easily crushed an 8th-grade Jindan expert. Yet Lu Jin, a 3rd-grade Jindan, had neutralized it with a casual flick of his wrist.
This was true talent. This was true dominance!
“You have some skill, kid, but unfortunately, you are blind to the world!”
The Mo Family expert was surprised, yet he still did not truly value Lu Jin. However, having lost face in front of the entire crowd, he could not simply back down. “This is Mo Tuojiang, the Head of the Mo Family from the Blood Moon Holy Land! You wanted an explanation? I will give you one: die!”
Boom!
As his voice fell, a gargantuan spiritual palm condensed in the sky and slammed down toward Lu Jin with crushing force.
“Stop!”
The moment the palm threatened to shatter the void, Chu Tianxiong let out a cold shout. He flicked his hand upward. Spiritual Qi gathered from the earth and manifested into a giant sword, which shot up to meet the descending palm head-on!
Rumble!
The giant sword collided with the spiritual palm before the eyes of the shocked crowd. The explosion rippled outward in a deafening roar that forced many to cover their ears. Some nearby disciples with lower cultivation even began to bleed from their ears and noses.
The Mo Family expert was forced back several steps by the intense backlash before steadying himself. He looked at Chu Tianxiong with an expression of pure astonishment.
Chu Tianxiong soared into the air and landed firmly in front of Lu Jin. He stood with his hands behind his back, his voice resonant and clear. “Your Excellency comes to my Ten Thousand Swords Sect and immediately tries to kill my disciple. This is truly going too far!”
As he spoke, a horrific wave of spiritual power rippled around him. He looked like a man who had no intention of letting the matter go quietly.
“Hmph! A mere ant dares to act out before the Head of the Mo Family!” The Mo Family expert’s rage surged as he prepared to strike again, only to be stopped by a casual word from Mo Tuojiang.
“Mo Ji, stand down.”
“Yes, Family Head!” Although unwilling, Mo Ji immediately retracted his aura and retreated. He did not dare to disobey even a single syllable of the Head’s command.
Mo Tuojiang then turned his gaze to Chu Tianxiong. “You are the Sect Master of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect?”
Chu Tianxiong did not deny it, but he did not speak either. He simply gave a slight, calm nod. Though the opponent was powerful, he would not allow his spine to soften!
“Excellent!”
A chill erupted from Mo Tuojiang’s eyes. “Since you are the Sect Master, summon Wan Helai here immediately. I give you half the time it takes for an incense stick to burn. If he is not here by then, the Ten Thousand Swords Sect shall be exterminated today.”
His voice was indifferent and frigid, yet it carried an authority that brooked no argument.
The crowd’s expressions shifted violently. These people really were here for trouble! Furthermore, they were specifically demanding Wan Helai! That Peak Master had already been obliterated; how could he possibly appear?
If they could not produce him, would today truly be the day the Ten Thousand Swords Sect was wiped from the map?
As one of the Four Great Families of the Blood Moon Holy Land, the Mo Family was filled with experts. Legend had it that their Head, Mo Tuojiang, was a super-powerhouse who had reached the Third Transformation of the Purple Mansion Realm! If his cultivation was truly at that level, he could destroy the sect with a wave of his hand without any suspense.
“Sect Master, what should we do?” Peak Master Li Yunfeng flew over and stood beside Chu Tianxiong, his face filled with irrepressible tension.
“Heh. Wiping out my Ten Thousand Swords Sect won’t be that easy!” Chu Tianxiong remained with his hands behind his back. He met Mo Tuojiang’s gaze and spoke coldly. “To be honest, Wan Helai, the Peak Master of my sect, died recently during a fierce battle. I fear you have already lost the opportunity to find him.”
Mo Tuojiang’s face darkened. “You are saying Wan Helai is dead?”
“Correct. As for exactly how he fell, this Seat does not know.”
A complex look crossed Mo Tuojiang’s face. Right then, another Mo Family powerhouse stepped forward. He was as tall and sturdy as an iron tower, his voice coarse and filled with rage.
“If you dare utter a single lie, I will personally tear you into ten thousand pieces!”
