In the front courtyard of the Ye residence, a dozen or so Yun family guards stood menacingly, armed with swords and exuding an air of hostility. At their head was Yun He, the young man who had earlier threatened the Ye family.
Yun He sneered at Ye Qingfeng, Liu Yuemei, and Ye Feifei, whose faces were etched with anger. “What are you doing? Liu Yuemei, you still have the nerve to ask me what I’m doing?”
“Ye Wushuang has committed such a heinous act that it has angered both heaven and man. Our young miss is kind-hearted and has decided not to kill him. But don’t forget that the residence you Ye family are currently living in was only lent to you by the Yun family. Now, on behalf of the Yun family, I am here to reclaim it!”
Upon hearing this, Ye Qingfeng, who was leaning on a crutch, staggered, his hand trembling with rage. “Yun He, have you Yun family no shame at all?”
“The head of your Yun family took a ancient sword from our Ye family and exchanged it for this residence. Now you say you want to take it back?”
Yun He merely chuckled and casually tossed a rusted ancient sword onto the ground. “This sword? I thought it was some precious relic your Ye family had preserved all these years, but it turns out to be just a piece of scrap iron. Here, take it back. Now you can all leave!”
With an arrogant and languid demeanor, Yun He added, “Don’t make me force you out, or things will get ugly for everyone involved.”
Ye Feifei, clinging to her mother Liu Yuemei, glared at Yun He’s despicable behavior and spat out, “You will be punished for your actions, and so will your Yun family!”
“Young girl, you have quite the sharp tongue. I think it’s your Ye family that’s going to be punished, not ours. After all, you’ve been falling into decline for years. Stop wasting your breath and just leave.”
As Yun He took a step forward, Liu Yuemei protectively shielded her daughter and said coldly, “We will leave, but you don’t need to drive us out.”
Yun He glanced at Liu Yuemei. Despite being a mother of two and in her forties, it was said that she originally came from a prominent family in the Imperial Capital. Although years of hardship had taken their toll, her natural beauty still remained.
Graceful and still charming, she carried an air of elegance.
Yun He was momentarily tempted and leered, “Liu Yuemei, why hold on to this family any longer? Why not come with me and let me take good care of you?”
“Yun He!”
Seeing the lust in Yun He’s eyes, Liu Yuemei’s face turned even colder as she sternly said, “Please respect yourself!”
“Respect myself? I don’t feel like it.”
Yun He laughed and took another step forward, grabbing Liu Yuemei’s wrist. “You have nowhere else to go anyway. Why not just let me have my way? Hahaha…”
“Big bad guy!”
Ye Feifei, seeing Yun He’s malicious intent, clung to his arm with both hands and bit down hard.
“Ah… You little brat, you’re asking for it!”
Enraged by Ye Feifei’s bite, Yun He roared and raised his palm to strike her head.
“Feifei…”
Liu Yuemei’s face turned pale with terror.
Yun He was at the fourth level of the Refining the Body and Meridians realm, possessing the strength of eighteen oxen. If his palm struck, Ye Feifei would surely die.
But just as Yun He’s palm was about to come down, it suddenly froze in mid-air, unable to move any further.
Ye Feifei’s eyes widened in disbelief as she looked past Yun He and stammered, “Brother…”
“Yun He!”
A cold, chilling voice rang out, each word icy and deliberate: “I told you! If you dare to harm my sister again, I will kill you!”
At that moment, everyone in the courtyard was stunned.

He wasn’t dead?
And he looked as if he had no injuries at all.
