In truth, he no longer harbored any fear of the Yun family, the Qin family, or any others. Even if someone at the Condensation Pulse realm sought to kill him, he was confident that he could escape. Once he reached the eighth or ninth level of his cultivation, the threat of the Condensation Pulse realm would be entirely nullified. This was the self-assurance he had cultivated in his previous life as the Heavenly Emperor.

Xu Qiuyuan’s desire to reside within the Ye Mansion was not merely to study the spirit array there; it was likely also to learn the art of array formation from him. However, upon interacting with Xu Qiuyuan, Ye Wushuang found him to be a person of good intentions, truly talented in the field of arrays. Offering some guidance would not be an issue.

As they approached the entrance of the Ye Mansion, a petite figure peeked out from behind the gate.

“Brother!”

Ye Feifei’s face lit up with joy at the sight of Ye Wushuang’s return, and she threw herself into his embrace.

“Look!”

Ye Wushuang produced a skewer of candied hawthorns and handed it to Ye Feifei.

With excitement, Ye Feifei declared, “I knew it! I knew you would get it for me.”

As she unwrapped the oiled paper, she found that the skewers had been crushed. Ye Wushuang awkwardly scratched his head and laughed, “Well… next time… I’ll bring you a better one.”

Ye Feifei took a bite of the candied hawthorn and smiled sweetly, “As long as it’s from my brother, I love it.”

The perceptive girl understood that her elder brother must have encountered danger on his journey. But since he had returned safely and had not spoken of it, she would not press him with questions.

“This is Xu Qiuyuan, a friend I’ve just met. With him here, even without the array, our mansion will be secure.”

Xu Qiuyuan greeted Ye Feifei with a smile, and the three of them entered the mansion together.

In the Ye Mansion’s main hall, the dozen or so servants that Ye Wushuang had brought back had worked tirelessly all day. The once dilapidated mansion now had a semblance of order and dignity.

At the dining table in the hall, Ye Wushuang, Ye Qingfeng, Liu Yuemei, Ye Feifei, He Bo, as well as Xu Qiuyuan and Xiao Yuan, were all present. With servants now at their disposal, He Bo no longer needed to handle every task personally; he could simply give orders. In the eyes of Ye Wushuang, Ye Qingfeng, and Ye Feifei, He Bo had long since become a member of their family, far more than just an old servant.

“Feifei!”

Ye Wushuang took out a wooden box and opened it, revealing twenty Qi-Refining Pills inside, each with a smooth, round surface and a faint, pleasant aroma.

“These are Qi-Refining Pills. Starting today, I will teach you a meditation technique. You will practice it daily, drawing in spiritual energy and combining it with these pills. Take one every ten days, do you understand?”

Ye Feifei took the pills, her face glowing with excitement. “I will definitely become a warrior even more formidable than my brother!”

“Absolutely!”

Ye Wushuang then took out another wooden box, revealing ten Inner-Nourishing Pills.

“Xiao Yuan, you are currently at the eighth level of the Body-Refining realm. These ten pills are perfectly suited for you. You can decide for yourself how to take them.”

Xiao Yuan accepted the box with a nod.

Ye Wushuang produced yet another box and handed it to Liu Yuemei.

“Mother, these are ten Youth-Preserving Pills. They will not only rejuvenate your appearance but also strengthen your health.”

Liu Yuemei accepted the box with a relieved smile.

Only then did Ye Wushuang turn to Ye Qingfeng. “Uncle, I have prepared ten Bone-Healing Pills for you. They will mend your broken bones, but since it has been a long time since your injury, it will take some time to fully recover. Once your leg is healed, I will address the issue of your lifespan.”

Ye Qingfeng took the box, his voice trembling with emotion. “Wushuang, does this mean… Uncle doesn’t have to die?”

“You won’t,” Ye Wushuang assured him firmly.

“Thank you!”

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Ye Qingfeng’s eyes turned red. In just two short days, the Ye family had gone from despair to hope, and they had never felt so relaxed sitting together as a family. Ye Qingfeng, Liu Yuemei, and Ye Feifei all knew that this newfound peace was a result of Ye Wushuang’s efforts.

However, while one family rejoiced, another was filled with sorrow. The Yun family, at this moment, was far from happy…
