In Liuyue City, within the Qin family mansion, the main hall was filled with several figures seated in solemn silence. An elderly man dressed in a vermilion robe entered through a side door. The figures immediately rose to their feet. The leader among them bore a resemblance to Qin Yunda, though his rugged features were tempered with an air of elegance. This man was none other than Qin Yongda, the head of the Qin family.

Qin Yongda quickly approached the elderly man and asked, “Master Mo Chuan, how is my third brother?”

“The violent surge of spiritual energy within him has been stabilized. His life has been saved, but his arm is beyond repair. Moreover, he must refrain from any martial activities for the next month and focus on recovery,” Master Mo Chuan replied.

Upon hearing this, Qin Yongda’s expression turned grim. Qin Shanming let out a cold hum, muttering, “That bastard Ye Wushuang.”

“Second brother!” Qin Yongda cast a glance at Qin Shanming before turning back to Master Mo Chuan and bowing respectfully. “Thank you, Master Mo Chuan, for coming at such a late hour.”

“Not at all,” Master Mo Chuan responded, his curiosity piqued. “Is it true that Ye Wushuang is behind all this?”

“Yes…” Master Mo Chuan’s face twisted in confusion. “It’s impossible. This morning, when he was at the Sacred Pill Pavilion, I was certain he was as good as dead. How could he have recovered so miraculously?”

“It is indeed very strange,” the others murmured as they escorted Master Mo Chuan out and returned to their seats.

“Clan leader, we must come up with a plan!” one of the Qin family elders spoke up. “Qin Yunda has been killed, and Qin Shang, Qin Ming, and Qin沧 have all met miserable ends. The entire city of Liuyue must be laughing at us.”

“I’ll take up residence outside the Ye Mansion starting today,” Qin Shanming declared. “I’ll stay there until their food supplies run out. I don’t believe Ye Wushuang won’t come out eventually.”

“Second brother, calm down,” Qin Yongda interjected. “Our priority should be ensuring that our third brother is no longer in danger. If you sit outside the Ye Mansion, what will you do if Ye Wushuang uses that array to launch a surprise attack on you?”

“From what you’ve told me, this young man is not only capable of activating the array to unleash devastating attacks, but he can also enhance his own strength by drawing on the array’s spirit. Didn’t our fourth brother die that way?”

“Moreover, our fourth brother had a plan when he went there, but this young man turned the tables on us. Clearly, he anticipated that our Qin family would retaliate. Can you be sure that he hasn’t kept some tricks up his sleeve for today?”

Qin Shanming was left speechless by these words. As the head of the Qin family, Qin Yongda had led the family to rapid growth since he took office. In just over a decade, the Qin family had risen to match the status of the Wang family, the city lord’s residence, and even showed signs of surpassing them. Such an achievement required no small amount of intelligence and skill.

“What should we do, then?” everyone wondered, puzzled.

The current Ye Wushuang and the Ye family were like a hedgehog—weak, yet difficult to swallow without knowing where to start.

Qin Yongda slowly said, “The decree from the Qin clan in the Imperial Capital, summoning Hao’er as a main clan disciple, has already arrived.”

Upon hearing this, everyone’s spirits lifted. The Qin clan in the Imperial Capital was incredibly powerful, and the Qin family in Liuyue City was merely one of its many branches. Qin Hao’s acceptance into the main clan would elevate the status and position of the Liuyue City Qin family, which was a tremendous boon.

Qin Yongda continued, “We cannot break the array ourselves, but there must be spiritual array masters within the Qin clan who can. Once the array is shattered, Ye Wushuang, with his mere fifth level of Physical Refinement, will be easily killed.”

Everyone nodded in agreement. Indeed, forcing their way in now might come at a great cost.

However, Qin Shanming raised a concern: “But, elder brother… will the Qin clan really intervene for us? And Hao’er has just joined the main clan…”

This question left everyone stunned. After all, even in the Imperial Capital, spiritual array masters were highly esteemed. Would the Qin clan really send one to assist the Qin family of Liuyue City?
