The little creature, however, was eyeing Ye Wushuang cautiously at this moment. It exhaled through its nostrils, releasing two wisps of flame, clearly showing no interest in engaging with Ye Wushuang.
Ye Wushuang smiled and said, “These people here, upon seeing you, have become frantic. They are fighting each other, all for the sake of capturing you. Would you like me to set you free?”
The little one was taken aback, its eyes filled with a glimmer of hope, yet it still chose to ignore Ye Wushuang.
Ye Wushuang continued, “Where are your parents? Shall I take you to them?”
This time, the creature’s eyes rolled curiously as it looked at Ye Wushuang, emitting a whimper from its mouth.
“Rest assured, you have already grown your wings, which means you are stronger than me. I couldn’t catch you even if I tried. If I set you free, would you take me to your parents?” Ye Wushuang proposed.
The little one nodded in agreement.
After all, the Eight-Winged Red Smelting Dragon was a fifth-tier spiritual beast. Even as a juvenile, its intelligence far surpassed that of first-tier or second-tier spiritual beasts.
Only then did Ye Wushuang turn her attention to the iron cage.
It seemed that the cage was part of a mechanism within the hall. The little creature had accidentally triggered it and got trapped.
As Ye Wushuang brought her palm close to the cage, she could sense a faint electrical force, as if it were about to crush her fingers.
“Black Mysterious Iron… combined with this spiritual array… no wonder you couldn’t escape,” Ye Wushuang murmured with a smile. She gathered spiritual runes at her fingertips and infused them into the cage.
Gradually, the rumbling electrical energy began to dissipate.
The little creature’s face lit up with delight. It stretched out its previously retracted claws and touched the cage.
Upon contact, there was no pain. The little one immediately surged with strength, and with a loud bang, the cage shattered into pieces.
In an instant, the creature was overjoyed, spreading its wings and hovering in the air.
It was only then that its full appearance was revealed.
Its body, over a meter long and serpentine, was covered in a layer of faint, dark green scales, tightly packed together.
Near its chest, a pair of claws were as strong and unyielding as iron.
Its head, resembling that of a python, bore a pair of prominent, horn-like protrusions, and a pair of wings sprouted from its back. With each flap, a faintly scorching aura seemed to flow through the air.
Though the juvenile Eight-Winged Red Smelting Dragon looked somewhat fierce, its eyes sparkled with clarity.
The little one glanced around, then at Ye Wushuang, and without a word, it flapped its wings and flew away.
At that moment, as Qin Cangsheng and Chu Haoyu were locked in an intense battle, the creature sped past them overhead.
The two men paused, staring at the fleeing creature in astonishment.
It seemed that the spiritual beast they had been fighting over had escaped.
They looked at the iron cage, only to find that the Eight-Winged Red Smelting Dragon was gone, leaving behind only the shattered cage and a young man in white.
“Ye Wushuang!”
“Ye Wushuang!”
Almost simultaneously, Qin Cangsheng and Chu Haoyu exclaimed in shock.
Ye Wushuang looked at the two men and smiled. “It seems I’ve… spoiled your fun!”
Qin Cangsheng’s expression turned cold as he snorted, “Where is my sister?”
Qin Jingyue had been missing for several days. He had sent people to inquire and received news that Qin Jingyue, Shang Mingjie, and Shang Tianyue had joined forces to kill Ye Wushuang.
Yet now, there was no word of the three of them.
“Your sister? Qin Jingyue?” Ye Wushuang smiled and said, “She’s dead, you know…”
Dead?
Impossible!
Ye Wushuang continued, “I killed her, and it seems you were unaware.”
As the people around them stopped fighting and split into two factions, following Qin Cangsheng and Chu Haoyu, all eyes turned to Ye Wushuang. He remained calm.
“I had thought there was truly some hidden treasure here, but it turns out to be a ruin. I can’t leave without getting something out of this, can I?” Ye Wushuang smiled sweetly at Qin Cangsheng and Chu Haoyu. “How about I kill you both and be on my way?”
Upon hearing this, Qin Cangsheng and Chu Haoyu exchanged glances, then looked at Ye Wushuang again, thinking to themselves, “Has this guy lost his mind?”
