Just as Shi Yan finished speaking, a loud rumble erupted within the valley. Waves of spiritual energy and gale-force winds swept through, slicing the tall grass at the base and exposing the entrance of the cave. At that moment, more than thirty disciples who had come for the trial were standing inside the valley. Three figures at the forefront exuded a powerful aura and murderous intent, drawing the attention of everyone present to the cave entrance.

Ye Wushuang emerged from the cave with Shi Yan. Qing Chengtian, seeing the two, whispered, “They’re here for us…”

The valley they had chosen was already extremely secluded, difficult even for spiritual beasts to discover. Yet, these thirty-odd individuals had come straight for them, clearly with the same intent as Xiao Rong and Xiao Yin—to find them.

Xiao Yuan, staggering, also made his way out and saw the three leaders. His expression changed slightly.

“Qin Jingyue of the Qin clan.”

“Shang Mingjie and Shang Tianyue of the Shang clan!”

Upon hearing these names, the expressions of the group darkened further. Shang Mingjie ranked fourth on the Newcomers’ List, while Shang Tianyue and Qin Jingyue were seventh and eighth, respectively.

It had been over ten days since the trial began. These three must have grown even stronger. Moreover, with more than half a month of the trial period gone, the thirty-odd followers who came with them had also advanced, with some reaching the second or third level of the Condensation Pulse realm.

That was over thirty people. Even if Ye Wushuang was formidable, he would struggle against such overwhelming numbers.

“It really is you, Ye Wushuang,” Qin Jingyue said. She wore a light green dress, with a broadsword strapped to her back and her hair tied in a ponytail. Her elegant features and attire exuded a strong, unyielding aura.

“Someone from the Qin clan… I suppose it’s because of Qin Hao…” Ye Wushuang chuckled. “However, it seems your clan has a tradition of sending people to their deaths one by one.”

Qin Jingyue’s eyes turned cold at his words. She drew her broadsword, its blade gleaming menacingly. “Shang Mingjie, Shang Tianyue, I will kill him myself.”

Shang Mingjie remained calm and indifferent. “As you wish.”

Shang Tianyue, however, spoke up directly. “This fellow is at the third level of the Condensation Pulse realm. He killed Xiao Rong and Xiao Yin three days ago. Qin Jingyue, do you really think you have a chance?”

Qin Jingyue was taken aback for a moment. She wanted to kill Ye Wushuang, but Shang Tianyue had a point.

Ye Wushuang understood that the few who had fled three days ago must have spread the news. As expected, failing to silence them had led to trouble.

But such trouble was nothing to Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang took a step forward and looked at the three, smiling. “It seems you’ve been keeping tabs on me all this time. How considerate of you to come… to your deaths.”

As he finished speaking, Shang Mingjie’s clear eyes glinted with a hint of killing intent.

Shang Mingjie said indifferently, “I want to kill you because you humiliated Shang Tianque.”

“Although that guy has a bit of talent, he’s not a top genius in our Shang clan. But he is still a descendant of our clan, and it’s not your place as a descendant of the Ye clan to humiliate him.”

“The dignity of the Shang clan will not be trampled upon by others.”

Hearing this, Ye Wushuang just sneered. These great clans were used to lording over others, only knowing how to trample on the dignity of others, but never able to tolerate being bullied themselves.

However, Ye Wushuang, who had returned in this life, was determined to show them that their so-called dignity was worthless in front of him. He was not only going to trample on the dignity of the five great clans but also make them pay a heavy price. And it would start with these three.

Ye Wushuang took another step forward, his inner energy subtly gathering.

“Shi Yan, Chengtian,” he said. “Protect Xueqi and Xiao Yuan!”

Qing Chengtian and Shi Yan both nodded in agreement.

Qin Jingyue, however, sneered again. “How heroic of you, Ye Wushuang, to stand against more than thirty of us. You’re overestimating yourself.”

With these words, Qin Jingyue charged forward…
