After observing the well for a while longer, the two finally confirmed that this ancient well was indeed quite unusual.
Every so often, a faint warm breath would surge up from within the well.
When the two first arrived here, the wellside was cool, so they didn’t notice anything amiss.
But after this warm breath came and went several times, both of them clearly sensed it.
”Let’s go down and take a look!”
  Ye Wushuang spoke up.
Zhou Yuan nodded, summoning the Tianyuan Sacred Cauldron to condense two beams of light that enveloped their bodies.
The two leaped in and jumped down the ancient well.
After the sounds of ‘plop plop’ faded, the two disappeared.
Descending into the well, the water wasn’t chilly but as mild as a hot spring.
Looking around underwater, the well’s bottom resembled an underground river, quite spacious.
Under the protection of the Tianyuan Sacred Cauldron, the two wandered through this subterranean river.
This place should have been pitch-dark, but the riverbed was dotted with luminous stones emitting a soft moonlight glow, casting a gentle radiance underwater.
  Time passed bit by bit.
After nearly an hour, the two simply began walking along the riverbed.
Suddenly, the light ahead grew stronger, and the surrounding currents sped up.
Ye Wushuang’s expression gradually turned wary.
Gradually moving towards the light, at a glance, a massive palace stood firmly on the riverbed ahead.
From the outside, the palace was entirely enveloped by flowing water on all sides, top and bottom.
The two of them arrived together in front of the palace gates.
  ”Jingwei Palace!”
Ye Wushuang looked at the three large characters inscribed on the palace gate’s plaque.
”Still immortal script?” Zhou Yuan examined it but still couldn’t recognize it.
  ”Mm.”
Ye Wushuang added, “Let’s try opening the palace gates and take a look.”
  ”Alright!”
Zhou Yuan stood before the palace gates, clenched his palm, and momentarily pushed aside the surrounding water, creating a vacuum-like space.
The gates were tightly shut, with door knockers embedded with pearls the size of longan fruits.
Zhou Yuan stepped forward for a closer look and noticed that each of these longan-sized pearls seemed to contain unique patterned markings inside.
Attempting to push the gates, the double doors remained immovable.
Zhou Yuan summoned the Tianyuan Sacred Cauldron and was about to smash it down.
  ”Stop!”
Ye Wushuang hurriedly stepped forward and said, “Let me handle this.”
  ”Huh?”
”This is a sealing technique. If you can’t find the trick and forcefully ram into it, the seal’s backlash will kill you before you even know what happened!”
Hearing this, Zhou Yuan immediately took a step back.
”You little brat, why didn’t you say so earlier? Trying to screw me over?”
  ”I thought you knew…”
  ”I…”
Zhou Yuan was immediately left speechless.
As a Sage, he was actually less knowledgeable than this brat Ye Wushuang.
  How embarrassing!
Thinking this, he watched as Ye Wushuang stepped forward, placing his hands on the pearls, with spiritual energy surging in his palms.
Soon, the pearls on the door began rotating in various different trajectories.
  It didn’t take long.
  With a *click*.
The double doors slowly opened, releasing a wave of long-sealed air.
Zhou Yuan paused, becoming cautious and alert.
Ye Wushuang, however, appeared relatively calm.
The two stepped into the Jingwei Palace one after the other.
The sound of *click-clack* echoed as the palace doors gradually closed behind them.
Standing inside the palace and looking up, the sky resembled a galaxy, shimmering with mystical radiance.
This palace complex consisted of hundreds of halls scattered in all directions—east, west, south, and north.
”What kind of place is this?” Zhou Yuan wondered aloud. “Beneath Tuotian City, there’s actually an ancient palace sealed away like this.”
  ”Be careful.”
  ”Mmm.”
The two began their exploration within the palace complex, examining each hall, including the corridors and even the plaza, leaving nothing unchecked.
  Until finally.
The two appeared inside a towering palace at the very center of the complex.
Upon stepping into the hall, they were immediately stunned by the sight before them.
In the vast hall, at the position of the main chamber, rays of light refracted to form a three-dimensional image.
This image was dozens of zhang in length and width, and several zhang in height, nearly occupying the entire area of this palace.
Upon closer inspection, the three-dimensional image outlined by the light rays was none other than the appearance of Tuotian City.
However, compared to the real Tuotian City, this was scaled down by hundreds of times.
Yet, upon careful observation, despite the drastic reduction in size, every estate and pavilion within the image remained extremely clear.
  ”An array!”
Zhou Yuan exclaimed in astonishment: “Is this the control hub of Tuotian City’s array?”
The rays of light originated from the top of this palace, where the ceiling resembled a star map, with specks of starlight continuously descending and flowing into the three-dimensional image.
Ye Wushuang was also somewhat astonished at this moment, but what he felt more was… excitement!
Since this place is the array hub of Tuotian City, if one can master it thoroughly or even control it, then… wouldn’t everything in Tuotian City be at his command?
Inside this Jingwei Palace, the two searched for a long time but found no secret treasures or fortuitous encounters. However, discovering the array hub of Tuotian City was far more valuable than any treasure or encounter.
Ye Wushuang immediately sat cross-legged, pressed his palms together, then slowly spread them apart, tracing one spirit pattern after another with his fingertips.
”What are you trying to do, kid?”
  ”What do you think?”
Ye Wushuang said directly, “Of course, I”m trying to take control of this array hub. That way, the rules of Tuotian City might be altered. Others would have to abide by the rules, while I become the one who controls them. Then…”
  Ye Wushuang stopped mid-sentence.
Zhou Yuan immediately said, “Be careful. The fact that it can shape a unique set of heavenly and earthly rules for the entire Tuotian City means you, a late-stage Star Plucking Realm cultivator, might not be able to control it.”
  ”I understand.”
Nodding, Ye Wushuang continued to condense spirit patterns.
Soon, countless spirit patterns swarmed around him like tadpoles, numbering over a hundred thousand.
Before long, Ye Wushuang willed his mind and guided the spirit patterns toward the array hub.
Time passed bit by bit. At first, Ye Wushuang found it extremely difficult, but later, he gradually adapted.
Zhou Yuan stood by his side, guarding him.
Even as a Saint, Zhou Yuan had been startled by Ye Wushuang several times along the way.
A young late-stage Star Plucking Realm cultivator.
A swordplay genius, mastering the pinnacle of sword intent.
On top of that, this kid was actually also a spirit array master!
What on earth is there that this guy can’t do?
  A full hour passed.
  Suddenly, at one moment.
Ye Wushuang let out a long exhale, then opened his eyes. His face visibly paled at a rapid pace, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.
  ”Are you alright?”
Zhou Yuan asked with a tense expression.
”Nothing too serious!” Ye Wushuang wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, slowly stood up, and swallowed a few spirit pills.
A full quarter of an hour later, Ye Wushuang finally let out another long exhale.
”Did you succeed?” Zhou Yuan asked curiously.
