  ”Right, but also wrong!”
Yun Quyin immediately responded: “Our Yun family, along with the Qi family and the Wuji Alliance, all stand on the side of the Lingjian Pavilion. If the Lingjian Pavilion wins, we will all reap tremendous benefits.”
  ”But…”
  ”But what?”
”But if the Lingjian Pavilion destroys the Shengtian Sect, the Xuantian Mansion will also be annihilated. As for the Tianbao Commerce and the Tianyuan Pavilion, they have always remained neutral and will absolutely not participate in the war.”
”After the Shengtian Sect, the Lin family, and the Xuantian Mansion are gone…” Yun Quyin paused and said, “only the Qingyang Hall, the Tiandao Palace, and the Jiuding Tianzong will remain.”
”So what?” Yun Quyan laughed. “With our four factions united, those three will be wiped out sooner or later.”
”Yes… sooner or later. But after they are all destroyed, what then? Can our Yun family, the Wuji Alliance, and the Qi family still dominate the Tianyuan Continent? Will we merely become subordinates of the Lingjian Pavilion? Do you understand?”
Hearing this, Yun Quyan froze momentarily.
After a while, Yun Quyan spoke again: “Then do you think the clan leader has considered this point?”
  Yun Quyin frowned.
  ”You mean…”
”Perhaps the clan leader is aware of this too… and has chosen to accept it.”
At these words, Yun Quyin’s brows furrowed even tighter.
  The two fell silent.
The group continued along the Bone Road, delving deeper underground.
Suddenly, commotion erupted from the front of the group.
  ”What happened?”
  Yun Quyin’s gaze followed.
Ahead, at the end of the Bone Path, the dim underground suddenly opened up.
A towering gate, a hundred zhang tall, stood abruptly.
  Within the gate, light flickered.
As everyone stepped through the gate one by one, they immediately felt an overwhelmingly vast aura rush toward them.
What lay before the team was a stone wall.
The wall was carved with numerous small characters, but due to the passage of time, they were now barely discernible.
Yet, in the upper left corner of the massive stone wall, a faintly visible character stood one zhang tall.
”Seems to be the character ‘Tao’?”
Nangong Shang looked over with a hint of curiosity.
Xing Hanwen studied the wall carefully for a long while but found nothing unusual.
Bypassing the wall, a glance ahead revealed a sprawling ancient city.
The vast city was crisscrossed by streets in a grid pattern, dividing it into numerous market districts.
Beyond the city’s edge, mountains stretched endlessly, layer upon layer, exuding an air of profound mystery.
”Did the people of Xuantian Mansion truly make it here?” Yun Quyan gazed at the city, her eyes filled with doubt.
”There’s no doubt about this. To wait for your arrival, we’ve been observing outside for several days. There’s been no movement inside unless… there’s another exit. Otherwise, they must be in there.”
Xing Hanwen said calmly, “Everyone, be careful. Move toward the ancient city, but don’t stray too far. At least ensure that if we encounter people from the Profound Heaven Mansion and a fight breaks out, the other team can hear the commotion.”
  ”Yes!”
  ”Got it!”
And so, soon enough, Xing Hanwen, Nangong Shang, Yun Quyan, and Yun Quyin each led a large team, with each large team further divided into five smaller squads, each led by a Stellar Transformation expert, as they stealthily advanced into the ancient city.
After the Spirit Sword Pavilion, the Infinite Alliance, and the Yun family—totaling over a hundred people—entered, about the time it takes to burn an incense stick later, three figures also appeared before the stone wall.
  ”Tao…”
Ye Wushuang was stunned when he saw the faintly visible character ‘Tao’ on the stone wall.
The other inscriptions on the stone wall had already decayed, making it impossible to discern what they once were.
Huang Yu walked around the stone wall and, gazing at the vast ancient city behind it, muttered in awe, “Damn, what kind of eerie place is this again?”
Zhou Yuan and Ye Wushuang also stepped forward.
At a glance, the city’s districts stretched endlessly, as if holding infinite mysteries and legends.
  ”Let’s go.”
Ye Wushuang stepped forward, heading straight into the ancient city.
Seeing this, Zhou Yuan and Huang Yu exchanged glances, unsure of what to say.
Throughout the journey, Ye Wushuang had barely spoken.
Huang Yu and Zhou Yuan also knew that Ye Wushuang was holding back his anger after witnessing Lin Yunjin’s murder and her body being turned into a blood corpse puppet.
This anger could only be vented by Ye Wushuang through killing.
The three entered a district of the ancient city, where Huang Yu eagerly searched every tavern, teahouse, and treasure pavilion without missing a single one.
After half a day of searching.
  They found nothing.
Exhausted, Huang Yu lay on a table by the second-floor window of a tavern, panting heavily, “This place has been here for who knows how many years. I’m afraid we’ve… come all this way for nothing.”
Ye Wushuang also searched many suspicious spots but ended up empty-handed.
As for Zhou Yuan, he didn’t search at all—he simply found a spot to sit and cultivate.
Hearing Huang Yu’s words, Ye Wushuang spoke up, “There should still be some remnants here, but someone got here first, leaving us with nothing.”
  Got here first?
”Was it the people from Xuantian Mansion or those from the Spirit Sword Pavilion?”
  ”I don”t know.”
After some thought, Ye Wushuang added, “It’s more likely to be the people from the Profound Heaven Mansion.”
Huang Yu then said, “If that’s the case, since the Profound Heaven Mansion arrived here earlier, it’s indeed more likely to be them. As for the group from the Spirit Sword Pavilion, they must have come up empty too.”
”In that case, let’s not waste our efforts here. If we head forward, we might run into that batch from the Spirit Sword Pavilion and kill a few of them to vent our anger!”
As Huang Yu finished speaking, Ye Wushuang stood up directly.
  ”Brother Ye, what’s wrong?”
  ”You’re right, let’s go!”
”Hey! Hey? Don’t rush. Let’s rest and regroup before setting off.”
With that, Huang Yu chased after him with a frustrated expression.
  ……
  Inside the ancient city.
In a market area, within a three-story trading pavilion, two figures were searching through the wall cabinets and wooden compartments in a room.
  ”Damn it!”
One of them cursed, “We’re one step too late. Those damn dogs from the Profound Heaven Mansion have already cleaned everything out.”
  ”Yun Jie, keep it down!”
The other said with a chuckle, “The Spirit Sword Pavilion deliberately delayed their entry by a few days to wait for us. If you’re already cursing here, imagine how much worse the people from the Spirit Sword Pavilion and the Infinite Alliance must be cursing us!”
”Yun You, you’re not making sense here.” The man named Yun Jie retorted, “Why are the people from Lingjian Pavilion and Wuji Alliance waiting for us? It’s simply because they’re not confident they can take down the four mansion lords of Xuantian Mansion alone!”
”However, this time, with the four leaders—Xing Hanwen, Nangong Shang, Yun Quyan, and Yun Quyin—on our side, those four mansion lords of Xuantian Mansion… are as good as dead.”
Yun You immediately laughed and said, “See, you already know this, so why complain? The good stuff must have been taken by Xuantian Mansion’s people, so let’s just try our luck and see if anything’s left. Even if there isn’t, as we move forward, we’re bound to intercept Xuantian Mansion’s people. Once they’re dead, all their treasures will be ours, won’t they?”
”Makes sense.” Yun Jie chuckled and continued rummaging around.
  A little later.
Yun Jie tossed aside some miscellaneous scrolls and cursed, “Alright, enough searching. Yun You, let’s go. I don’t think there’s even a speck of bird shit left here.”
Yun You stood motionless by the window, facing outside.
Yun Jie grumbled, “Yun You, I’m calling you. Are you deaf?”
As he spoke, Yun Jie walked over and grabbed Yun You’s arm.
With a thud, Yun You’s entire body collapsed to the ground, blood gushing from his neck and soaking the floor.
