Faced with Gu Wentian’s threat, Ye Wushuang stood still, his expression calm.
  ”I’ve already done my best!”
Hearing this, Gu Wentian looked at Ning Xi inside the coffin.
In fact, he had already noticed earlier—Ning Xi’s upper body had condensed into flesh and blood, appearing as if alive, but her lower body remained skeletal.
  Resurrection.
  Failure.
But he simply couldn’t bring himself to accept it.
  ”I beg you!”
Gu Wentian suddenly fell to his knees, clutching Ye Wushuang’s sleeve, and pleaded mournfully, “I’m willing to pay any price.”
Beside them, Zhou Yuan’s face showed pity.
A sage, casting aside all dignity and kneeling down in such a manner, pleading desperately—this would evoke a sense of sorrow in anyone.
  And at the same time.
Standing in the distance, Huang Yu witnessed this scene and exclaimed in shock, “Holy shit, the Blood Bone Man is kneeling to Ye Wushuang? What the hell is going on?”
The blood-colored altar was a hundred zhang away from Huang Yu, Xuan Yutang, Pei Wenjie, and Pei Wenxiu.
At this distance, they should theoretically be able to hear the conversation between Ye Wushuang and the others, but there was clearly some sort of array around the altar, making it so that Huang Yu and the other three could only see Ye Wushuang and Zhou Yuan arguing with the Blood Bone Man, without knowing what was actually happening!
Xuan Yutang and Pei Wenjie looked toward Ye Wushuang on the altar, their hearts filled with awe.
This young man, who had recently risen to fame in the Tianyuan Continent, might very well become the most outstanding figure of their generation.
  ”I beg you!!!”
Gu Wentian continued to plead desperately before Ye Wushuang.
Gazing at the woman inside the coffin, Ye Wushuang, for some reason, thought of Qing Shiyu.
If it were Qing Shiyu lying here, how would he feel right now?
After a moment of contemplation, Ye Wushuang clenched his palm slightly, then relaxed it.
A black jade stone appeared in his palm.
Upon closer inspection, the black jade wasn’t truly black, but rather appeared so because it was saturated with blood so dark it resembled blackness.
Ye Wushuang clutched the black jade, glancing at Gu Wentian before turning his gaze to Ning Xi inside the coffin, whose flesh was still eroding.
”The Thousand Abyss No-Law Technique has an extremely low success rate even when used on deceased Saints—for those below Saint realm, it’s outright impossible!”
  ”I’ve done all I can!”
Hearing this, Gu Wentian’s skeletal body trembled uncontrollably.
Ye Wushuang continued, “However, I might be able to help solidify her true form for the duration of one incense stick. During that time, you two can say whatever you need to say.”
  A final farewell?
Gu Wentian stared at Ye Wushuang, the hollows of his skull eyes growing even emptier.
  ”Alright!”
Then Gu Wentian stood up, smiling as he said, “Thank you!”
Without further ado, Ye Wushuang stepped to the head of the coffin, tightly gripping the black jade before pointing a finger. A faint blood mist swirled around the jade’s surface, surging into the coffin.
This black jade was no ordinary treasure.
It was the blood of an immortal!
Even the most common immortal would seem like a deity to mere mortals.
A single piece of immortal flesh and blood is an invaluable treasure to mortals.
Moreover, this is jade formed from the accumulated blood of an immortal.
Luckily, when Tao Qingyang died, he left this item and handed it over to Ye Wushuang.
If it had been given to someone else, no one would have known how to use it.
A mist of blood swirled outward.
  Gradually spreading within the coffin.
Before long, the vanished flesh of Ning Xi returned once more.
Even the withered bones of her lower body grew flesh anew.
Her body rose from the coffin, long hair fluttering, her appearance serene—not stunningly beautiful, but exuding a gentle and soothing aura.
  “Xi’er…”
Gu Wentian stepped forward, taking Ning Xi’s hands in his.
Then, in that moment, Gu Wentian’s skeletal body also gradually grew flesh, his features restored, transforming into a handsome man in his forties.
Witnessing this, Zhou Yuan exclaimed in shock, “This… they’re alive?”
Ye Wushuang said calmly, “It’s merely using a supreme treasure to circulate qi and blood, manifesting a physical form.”
”As for Gu Wentian regrowing flesh and blood… it seems the qi and blood required by the Thousand Abyss No-Law Technique were all refined from his own qi and blood. He and Ning Xi are already inseparable.”
Hearing this, Zhou Yuan sighed even more deeply.
How many such devoted lovers still exist in this world?
By the coffin, Gu Wentian and Ning Xi, husband and wife, saw each other again, their eyes only for one another.
Tears streamed from the corners of Gu Wentian’s eyes as he held Ning Xi’s hand and smiled, saying, ‘Xi’er, I’ll take you home.’
As he spoke, Gu Wentian wielded the bone sword in his other hand and slashed at the wall before him.
The wall split apart, revealing a passageway.
Ning Xi looked at her husband and smiled, ‘Did you threaten someone again?’
”Not at all. I merely asked these two for help.”
Gu Wentian then turned to Ye Wushuang and smiled, ‘Thank you, Young Master Ye. Please follow us, my wife and I.’
Zhou Yuan stood awkwardly to the side, muttering sheepishly, ‘I contributed too.’
  ”You’re invited as well!”
With those words, Gu Wentian pulled Ning Xi along as they walked ahead, with Ye Wushuang and Zhou Yuan following behind. The four figures disappeared into the stone passage, which then closed, leaving nothing behind.
”Hey hey hey, what about us?!”
At this moment, Huang Yu hurriedly walked towards the altar.
But before he could get close, the scattered blood-red pearls around the altar began to shimmer, as if they might turn into blood-armored figures at any moment and pounce forward to fight.
Huang Yu halted his steps, his face grim as he said, “If only I had run up there earlier…”
Xuan Yutang patted Huang Yu’s shoulder and remarked, “Who knows if what lies ahead is life or death? And you still want to wade into troubled waters?”
”This time, I finally understand—opportunities… when chance meets preparation, it’s called an opportunity. If you can’t seize it, you might really lose your life!”
Pei Wenjie remained silent, tending only to his younger brother Pei Wenxiu.
With the rear passage sealed, they had nowhere to go and could only wait here.
Meanwhile, Ye Wushuang and Zhou Yuan, following Gu Wentian and Ning Xi, emerged into the world beyond the passage.
Stretching for miles, the landscape before them featured mountains, rivers, small cottages, bamboo groves, and even rice paddies.
It was like an untouched paradise, exuding the simple charm of a typical rural homestead.
Gu Wentian turned to Ye Wushuang and handed over the bone sword he was holding.
”This is for you!” Gu Wentian said with a smile.
”This sword hasn’t accompanied me for long and hasn’t been much influenced by me. I obtained it from a secret place. Though the blade appears to be made of white bone, it’s actually crafted from the essence of a sacred bone dragon, making it a genuine holy artifact!”
Gu Wentian said with a faint smile, “As a junior with boundless prospects ahead, you might find this sword useful someday. Consider it my token of gratitude!”
Hearing this, Ye Wushuang didn’t hesitate and directly accepted the white bone sword.
Ning Xi, standing beside Gu Wentian, couldn’t help but chuckle, “Husband, after she helped you so greatly, you’re just sending her off with a single sword?”
”If I recall correctly, you’re not a swordsman, so this sword is useless to you anyway!”
Hearing this, Gu Wentian scratched his head with a somewhat sheepish expression.
This blood-soaked cultivator, who had killed countless people, perhaps only showed such a simple and honest demeanor in front of his wife.
