Ye Wushuang slowly opened his eyes, not making a sound as he quietly slipped out of the cave. The night moon was dim, its light dim and somber.

Ye Wushuang distinctly sensed several figures around him, positioned in a fan shape, moving towards the left side of the valley where he was. They were not close, and Ye Wushuang did not recklessly investigate. He could faintly sense that there were more than a dozen people, seemingly engaged in a hunting encirclement.

Soon, the group of over a dozen people left the valley where Ye Wushuang was and headed towards the distance. After a moment of contemplation, Ye Wushuang concealed his presence and quietly followed in the direction the group had gone.

After about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, the group of people stopped in front of a small valley, not moving forward. Ye Wushuang stood on an ancient tree, looking ahead with a raised eyebrow.

The group of people had subtly surrounded the entrance of the valley. Under the moonlight, two figures could be seen standing at the forefront. Soon, four or five people from the group stepped forward, armed with spiritual weapons, and charged into the valley.

“Roar!!!”

In an instant, a earth-shattering roar echoed from within the valley, shaking the eardrums. Immediately after, the four or five people who had charged in were thrown into the air, screaming in agony as they tumbled out.

The two leaders, unperturbed, waved their hands. Immediately, the rest of the group attacked from both sides of the valley.

At that moment, within the valley, soil and rocks flew about as a massive beast rose from the ground. The beast, standing over twenty zhang tall, resembled a gorilla. However, this gorilla had blood-red fur as stiff as steel needles, with its arms hanging low, exuding an intense, blood-soaked aura.

“Kill!”

One of the leaders shouted, his voice resounding. The group of people immediately launched their attack.

Ye Wushuang’s eyebrows shot up as he took a closer look. The group of over a dozen people were dressed similarly, wearing black armor, black capes, and black headbands. Among them, at least three or four were strong warriors at the Star-Picking Realm level.

Led by these three or four individuals, the group charged at the blood-furred gorilla while it was enraged. *Boom! Boom! Boom!*

In an instant, the ground shook and the mountains seemed to tremble. At the entrance of the valley, soil and rocks shattered, and thick smoke billowed.

Ye Wushuang, standing on a tree more than ten li away from the battle, was taken aback by what he saw. Deep within the valley, as the group fought the blood-furred gorilla, bursts of light could be seen, rippling like water waves and spreading out in a fan shape…

“Nine-Origin Mist Lotus!”

Ye Wushuang whispered in astonishment.

The Nine-Origin Mist Lotus is an extremely rare spiritual herb, considered the pinnacle among spiritual medicines. This lotus absorbs sunlight and moonlight day and night, storing it within its nine petals. Such a lotus is most beneficial to those at the Star-Picking Realm and the Saintly Heaven Realm. It nourishes the spirit, enhances the physical body, raises the limits of the flesh, and is even excellent for healing wounds and removing toxins.

“The blood-furred gorilla… it’s a mutated Blood-Pupiled Behemoth,” Ye Wushuang quickly realized.

The Blood-Pupiled Behemoth is an exceedingly rare ninth-order spiritual beast, comparable in strength to someone at the Saintly Heaven Realm. Generally, the Nine-Origin Mist Lotus can only grow with the absorption of sunlight and moonlight, as well as the presence of a Blood-Pupiled Behemoth. Every time the Blood-Pupiled Behemoth grows, it releases a large amount of vital energy, which the Nine-Origin Mist Lotus needs.

However, this one, though mutated, seemed to only possess the strength of the Star-Picking Realm. The group of over a dozen people clearly came prepared and were decisive in their attack. The Blood-Pupiled Behemoth wouldn’t last much longer.

Ye Wushuang’s heart was stirred by the sight of the Nine-Origin Mist Lotus. The battle continued to rage.

The dozen or so top warriors at the Seventh Plundering Realm each wielded impressive imperial spiritual weapons. Despite the Blood-Pupiled Behemoth’s fierce attacks, they had not suffered any casualties.

“Shi Chen’an, you hold the fort. I’ll take down this beast!” one of the leaders shouted in a clear and cold voice. Judging by the voice, it belonged to a woman.

The man named Shi Chen’an nodded and said, “Simo, be careful.”

“Don’t worry,” she replied.

Immediately, the woman in the cyan cape took to the air, brandishing a sword as she charged forward. This woman was at the initial stage of the Star-Picking Realm, but as soon as she made her move, Ye Wushuang sensed her extraordinary nature. If he didn’t use the Yuanlei Nine-Turn Technique and the Tai Xu Spirit Sword Qi, Ye Wushuang doubted he could defeat her. Such a person, with extremely formidable talent, was on par with Bai Siqi.

As the woman named Simo charged, the group’s offensive momentum surged again, and the Blood-Pupiled Behemoth looked even more desperate. Within the valley, the Nine-Origin Mist Lotus swayed in the wind, surrounded by an explosive aura. However, the faint blood light rippling around the lotus kept all the turmoil at bay.

Ye Wushuang deduced that this group was likely not from the Tianyuan Continent, but he couldn’t determine their exact origin.

“The Shi family… thousands of years ago, there was a Shi family on the Tianhuang Continent, which was later subdued by the Tianhuang Empire…” Ye Wushuang muttered to himself, carefully observing the battle.

The Blood-Pupiled Behemoth was soon driven to desperation, with over a dozen wounds on its body. It began to lash out in a last-ditch, frenzied counterattack, killing without restraint. The group, mostly at the Seventh Plundering Realm, started to suffer casualties. Three people were torn apart by the Blood-Pupiled Behemoth, their bodies reduced to minced flesh, and they met their demise.

However, the Blood-Pupiled Behemoth had clearly reached its limit as well.

“Nine Heavens Yellow Thunder, Invoke the Absolute Sky!”

Suddenly, the woman named Simo shouted, her long sword pointing straight at the night sky. In an instant, massive columns of thunder, as thick as barrels, descended from the heavens and struck the staggering Blood-Pupiled Behemoth.
