Chapter 72: No One Can Resist Drinking and Barbecuing!
After coming up with a new fake plan, Lolth quickly wrote a detailed Holy Alliance battle strategy in the torture tower in less than an hour.
It was likely that none of the front-line generals in the Holy Alliance had a plan as meticulous as this one.
Feeling confident after completing it, she stored the “information” and went to prepare lunch for the laborers working on developing the new area in the south.
She hadn’t forgotten her promise to provide three meals a day!
Today, she planned to serve barbecue for everyone twice!
Lolth took out a variety of ingredients from the cold storage and brought out her prepared skewers.
She had been wanting to enjoy an Otherworld-style barbecue for a long time but felt it would be a bit strange to grill skewers alone on her own grill.
She knew it would be more fun and festive with a crowd of people!
Lolth had once tried inviting her demon race colleagues, but after one event, she discovered something horrifying—they ate everything. Not just the skewers, but also the stove, the charcoal, and even the nails from the wooden bucket! The ingredients were left scattered all over the ground.
Even the glass was bitten into.
After that, Lolth gave up on the idea.
When Tina and Isabella came, Lolth briefly considered trying again, but before she could implement her plan, she moved to Hillenbrand.
In hindsight, that seemed to be a blessing!
Now, with more participants at this barbecue party, Lolth finally had the chance to show off her skills!
The pickled ingredients she brought out formed a small mountain.
She even unsealed a few barrels of her homemade beer—originally intended for her own enjoyment, until she discovered that something terrible happened to her whenever she drank it. Since then, the beer had remained sealed.
Lunch wouldn’t be served at noon, though; instead, everyone would get to enjoy it after work today.
With that in mind, Lolth began preparing the skewers.
Even though there was no audience, Lolth put on a show for herself!
She tossed all the ingredients on the cutting board high into the air, then raised her kitchen knife and made a few dramatic slashes in the air, chopping the ingredients into smaller pieces as they fell!
Of course, Lolth didn’t have the knife skills of a Sword Master. In reality, she cut all the meat and vegetables using magic…
The flashy knife display was purely for theatrics!
Even though no one was watching, Lolth believed that being “cool” was a matter of attitude.
Then, Lolth put down the knife and picked up an iron javelin, hurling it toward the airborne ingredients!
“Whoosh!”
The iron javelin shot through the air like a shower of petals scattered by a heavenly maiden, creating a sharp sound as it broke through the air.
Though most of the javelin’s strikes missed their targets, Lolth deftly used magic to correct their trajectories, ensuring that the javelin pierced the ingredients perfectly. The spectacle was undeniably impressive!
A pile of kebabs soon landed neatly on the cutting board, forming a small mountain.
Lolth transferred all the skewers to the oven for pre-baking.
Once they were half-cooked, she took them out, gathered her grill, charcoal, and seasonings, and headed to the Southern New Development Zone in Hillenbrand Town.
Upon arrival, she noticed many workers already relaxing leisurely.
This made her very satisfied.
These residents knew how to balance work and rest and take it easy. It seemed that Maider and Tina’s leadership was working well.
As she surveyed the area, Lolth was taken aback.
All five zones of the development project had been completed with remarkable efficiency.
The farmland in the farming area had been plowed, and greenhouses stood ready.
Most of the ponds in the fishing area had been dug, and diversion dams were already constructed along the rivers.
In the orchard area, tree seedling pits had been prepared.
Most impressive of all were the agricultural market and livestock zones.
When the agricultural market project began, it was still in the foundational stages. Now, the structure had reached the second floor! Over in the livestock zone, Farm 1 was nearing completion.
“Wow, they work so efficiently!”
Lolth couldn’t help but comment.
The residents of Hillenbrand Town really love working hard!
And it seems like people from the other world have quite good physical strength.
These guys don’t look like they are fighting for their lives, but rather seem to have energy left to spare!
Lolth, who didn’t realize the great contribution made by her “tools” and “building materials”, only marveled at the power of humans.

Lolth set up the barbecue grill, lit the charcoal, and took out the big horn again.

The flames licked the meat skewers, thoroughly blending the aroma of cumin, sesame, chili powder, and various spices into the juicy meat. As the smoke rose, it teased all the senses.
Beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and all kinds of meats were available, even many magical creatures unique to this continent, such as the earth turtle, horned porpoise, and giant bird, whose meat was also edible.
“What is this… flavor!”
“What a delicious smell of meat, but is this really barbecue?”
“Master Lolth is truly a skilled chef!”
The people who gathered around were immediately drawn in by the scent!
And with nimble hands, Lolth quickly grilled the first batch of skewers and shared them with everyone.

“There’s even more beer!”
“Beer – what kind of drink is that?”
“I don’t know either, but the wine the Lord brought out is definitely delicious!”
