Chapter 273: Obstruction and Departure

Kululu didn’t mean to almost suffocate the top councilors; she just didn’t quite understand how weak the non-Superoperator humans of the main plane were.

However, she didn’t plan to apologize for it; in her eyes, these three guys were already like the dead.

Even though she could see that these three seemed to hold high positions and great power—what did that matter to her, Kululu?

These guys wanted to kill Lolth, and the people they sent put Lolth in a very dangerous situation, almost preventing her from returning to the main plane; so, in Kululu’s view, they certainly deserved to die.

But before they died, she still needed to find out what kind of connection they had with the God of Demise and whether they had leaked everything to the God of Demise.

She had confidently promised Fuen that she could handle those evil gods, and then Lolth had ended up in the Realm of the End…

Kululu felt very frustrated and angry about this.

She hadn’t faced such a huge grievance in nearly three thousand years!

So Kululu must understand why the God of Demise could plan all of this.

Unfortunately, Kululu clearly could not get an answer from the highest councilors.

After regaining their freedom to breathe and the air, those highest councilors were crawling on the ground, gasping and coughing, threatening Kululu.

"You, do you know who you are fighting against? Seychelles…"

"No matter which side you come from, you must bear Seychelles’ wrath!"

"What God of Demise? Is that the god worshiped by The Final Church?"

Kululu looked at the three highest councilors with an unhappy expression.

"Tsk, so you really know nothing and are just being used as pawns… what a waste of my time!"

After hearing their responses, Kululu confirmed one thing: although this group wanted to kill Lolth, they truly did not know about The Final Church.

In fact, the three of them did not even realize why Kululu had come.

After all, Kululu was so efficient that the news of Ranster and Gandhi Alter’s failure had not even reached them—these three top officials didn’t even know if the two had taken action!

However, Kululu did not intend to let them go.

Regardless of anything, attempting to hire someone and using a powerful Holy Domain expert to kill Lolth, which indirectly led to the God of Demise almost eroding Lolth, made them truly deserving of a terrible fate in Kululu’s eyes.

"Alright, let’s save the extra words for the next life."

As Kululu said this, while she was raising her hand to take the lives of these three people, she suddenly felt an extremely powerful surge of magical energy burst from above her head.

"Bang!"

A completely black single-handed sword broke through the roof and landed on the ground between Kululu and the three top officials, standing in front of the three terrified middle-aged men, and then it erupted with a strong magical energy that made Kululu take it a little more seriously.

"Who the hell is this? How dare they stop me!"

Kululu couldn’t help but frown.

The dark single-handed sword radiated extraordinary energy, which formed into a message.

"O powerful being from the abyss, please show me a little mercy and spare these few fellows – after all, your involvement has already crossed the line, hasn’t it? Their strength does not warrant your direct intervention."

Feeling the strong magical waves above that could block her full power attack in her current state, Kululu revealed a slightly displeased expression while interpreting the message through magic.

"Hmph… so you do have backing, huh? This guy knows quite a bit," Kululu thought for a moment, glancing at the three disheveled highest councilors of Seychelles, then she smirked and infused a bit of magic into it. "Alright, I won’t intervene; you can leave now – let Lolth deal with these guys herself… Hmm, it shouldn’t be hard for her."

As she said this, she showed a look of regret.

"It’s truly unfortunate that you managed to save your lives, but next time you encounter me, you won’t be so lucky."

Without waiting for the three highest councilors of Seychelles to respond, Kululu waved her hand and made them vanish from their spot.

After agreeing to the other party’s request, Kululu couldn’t turn against them and kill them; she simply sent them back to where they came from.

Although it looks very much like Lolth’s space teleportation, the effect is completely different based on the magical waves.

The entire space had no waves at all, just like it was when they arrived—calm.

"Thank you for your understanding."

After the highest officials of Seychelles returned to their homes, the dark long sword received a message from Kululu. Soon, the magical waves changed again and replied.

"Humans today really know how to be polite."

Kululu sighed this way, pouting her lips, and with her hands in her pockets, she disappeared from here.

After Kululu left, the black long sword flew away through the broken hole in the roof.

Afterwards, Mia Edith opened the door and peeked inside.

"Lolth, are you ready—huh? Where is everyone? Didn’t I just hear Uncle Robers, Uncle Feller, and Uncle Katz?"

She showed a look of confusion and glanced at the hole in the ceiling, wondering if the demon named "Lolth" had flown away from there.

A few minutes later, Aberdovey’s sheriff arrived with his team, looking at the hole in the roof and the fainted Superoperator. He opened the door and saw the unhurt Mia Edith, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness you’re okay, dear Miss Edith… I’m sorry we arrived a bit too late and let the attacker escape."

Upon seeing him, Mia Edith became somewhat cold.

"Um… I’m fine," she said softly while leaning on her cane, "but I don’t know if Uncle Robers, Uncle Feller, and Uncle Katz are okay?"

"What?! The senior council members… How could they be here!"

Hearing those three familiar names, the sheriff’s heart, which had just settled, sank again.

"I don’t know either, but I did hear their voices… and they were almost killed by a demon named ‘Lolthlinda.’"

Mia Edith continued calmly.

"The attackers are from the demon race? The highest officials almost died?"

The sheriff listened to Mia Edith’s words and almost fainted.
